→ Ask the farmer ALL the questions!(How long has this been happening, were there any changes made to the farm or with a person's behavior before this started happening, aside from the footprints, has there been anything else going on or appearing that seems peculiar, etc.)
>Mana, after a quick bout of sleep, assaults the farmer with a slew of questions. The farmer, with Yeldmin in attendance , does his best to answer as many of her questions as they can.
“This has been going on for the last month or so…”
The elder sheepman chatters at the farmer in another language to which the farmer nods.
“Yeldmin believes it started when we decided to expand the fields a little bit. We pulled up some of the plants on the outside edges of the forest and pushed the fences out to the tree edges. I don’t know why that would have inspired anything to start messing with the sheep though.”
Mana asks the two men about any odd behavior from the workers, and is met with a bit of a shrug and a ‘nothing we’ve noticed.’ She asks about anything strange other than the footprints.
“Well… The injuries that have been incurred are a bit odd… I know that the most grievous of injuries was to poor Gretta. To cracked ribs, a dislocated shoulder and, very oddly, a permanently messed up head of hair. We sheared her a few days ago and that wool is pretty well ruined. Like it was filled with paste or something, and it smelled horrid. Very strange indeed. ”

Yeldmin chatters at him again in reminding kind of manner.
“Yes, the victims are extremely reluctant to talk about it as well. We’ve tried to ask about it, but all of them refuse to talk about it; like they were afraid to say something particular…”
→Ask Ano what kind of magical power could cause memory loss and headaches and tell him about the discovery of the Sheeple!
>Mana takes in all of this information and attempts to compile it into a conclusion, but finds she does not have the magical or xenological knowledge to make a conclusion… but she knows who does!
Mana tells the farmer that she’ll be back, that she has to go ask a friend about the situation and that he may have an idea of what's going on.
She heads back to town and more specifically towards Ano’s tower.
Ano is not hard to find, even amongst the clutter of his tower.
She tells him that she found out that one of the farmers outside the town walls has been hiring sheep people, and that they have been dealing with some weird creature coming out of the forest.
“OH! We have Ovans around town?! Why have they not been in market? Why is the first anyone has told me! Why-” He continues to excitedly bounce around, happy to hear the news that a race new to the area has been roaming around; and not so happy to hear he was not the first to know.

Ellie sits on her stool and laughs. “He’ll be busy reelin from that rev’lation. How about you tell me about this creature botherin’ them?”
Mana nods and explains to Ellie about the odd foot prints and the general confusion of the night's observation. Then she does her best to relate the farmer’s description of the victims.
“Hmm giant humanoid… capable of picking up and squeezing a standard person… and from the sounds of your head, lass, capable of some kinda illusion magic… I think yer dealin with a n Ogre… I think. Can’t explain the ‘dancin’ though; Thats pretty odd! And it sounds like it was slobbering in the sheepies hair for some reason...” She thinks. “Regardless, Ogres can be reasoned with. Maybe you can get it to not mess with the farm.”
Ano pops back into the conversation after bouncing around his tower abit. “Ogre? Me and several of the town executives had Giant’s bane root at the edges of the forest. Grows really well around here, even if it isn’t native! Helps keep big nasties out of town! they shouldn’t have had any problem unless they’ve been messing with the treeline.”
“Oh.” Mana says ponderously.
