Hello Players, and Welcome to FTL: Desperate Measures.
This RP will be based upon and set in the Faster Than Light universe. Expect danger, drama, silliness, and Rape! Lots and Lots of Rape!
Your goal is to track down and mark planets capable of supporting sentient life as your beloved Empire crumbles down, you are the People’s last hope. Are you prepared for this Job? No! Will you succeed? Probably not! Are you going to do it anyways? Yes!
Setting-

Due to rampant corruption, lack of recourses and terrible war the Galactic Empire is starting to crumble. As the government plummets into chaos and invading armies press into the borders an initiative was started by one insane general. His Plan? To press fresh recruits, straight out of the Academy, into Arks. These large frigates, stocked with the necessary supplies and tools to let a crew survive for their respective lifetimes, will transport small units, whose missions are to locate and tag planets that can sustain sentient life, so the Empire can retreat from their home world and rebuild anew. The chance of success but should you succeed you will save the Galatic Empire and be hailed as hero’s.

Mechanics are based on a d20 system, where you get a roll, add your race bonus, and experience bonus to get your final outcome. There 8 different outcomes.
1-Perfect Failure
2-4 Critical Failure
5-7 Moderate Failure
8-10 Minor Failure
11-13 Minor Success
14-16 Moderate Success
17-19 Critical Success
20 – Perfect Success

Humans- The most common race in the galaxy and the most adaptable. Average life span is 89 years Humans gain a +10% exp boost to learning skills
Engi- Half Alive, Half Machine. These cyborgs are mysterious race that excel with technology and equipment. Average life span varies. As long as they are kept within good repair they can live to 300.
+5 Engineering, +5 to lust max, -5 to combat
Rockmen- Giant Sentient Boulders, these beings are juggernauts of space, brushing off injury and the elements alike with ease. Average life span ranges based on the life force of the individual but is around 300-400 years

Zoltan- Living Conduits of energy, the Zoltan are a new race to the Galactic Empire. Due to their electric state they can power rooms with their presence but this also leaves them more vulnerable to physical harm. Average life span is around 100 years

Immune to electricity and EMP.
Crystal- A relatively unknown race in the Galactic Empire their existence is only known to a select few. These walking gems are roughly human sized but adept to combat. There major weakness is electricity, as it can super conduct through their bodies. Average Life Span is around 90.

Every Crew Member starts with the same experience and skills. All Skills start at a flat 0 and will increase the more you use them. After collecting so much experience in one skill it will level up and you gain bonuses towards doing action of that particular Skill.
There are 6 skills
Engineering- Affects use of the Engines and Repair Times
Weapon Control- Affects the use of using the Ship's Guns and their efficiency
Medicine- Affects the use of curing diseases, fixing injuries, and other health related issues
Piloting- Affects the use of Piloting the ship
Energy Managment- Affects the use of the Ship's Shields and Drone Systems
Combat- Affects the use of Hand to Hand combat and its efficiency
