She heads back upstairs to where the rest of the party is, Finding most of them are lounging about after a long day of fighting. Some are playing with drakes, others are flat on their backs huffing from exertion . Mana sees Ellie moving between adventurers, checking on them making sure all is well; occasionally stopping next to a tuckered out drake and giving it a pat.
Mana calls Ellie over and asks her about why there are so many females in this drake colony. Ellie sits down and takes off her satchel full of medical supplies.
“Well this isn’t the only colony like this. With drakes, ye always have a bunch of girlies and very very few boys. There tend to be only 1 boy to every 20 or 30 girls. To keep the species genetically diverse, the boys migrate out and find other colonies; I think all of the boys from this one are gone right now, and they have one that migrated in! He’s a cute little guy too!” Ellie bounces a couple times, excited to share. “If you see the ladd, he carries around a little nut. A lot of the males carry around a little momento’s from home. If I had to guess he’s from around the Liokan forests! Such a cutie!”
Mana hesitates before her next question, but she musters up the courage and asks anyways: “So what about their mating cycle?”

Ellie puts on a devilish grin. “Wanna know all the details about how they do the nasty, do ye?” She chuckles quietly. “Well I’ll tell ye this first of all: The females aren’t ready to start making babies until their about the age of queen-ey. Boys, though they’re ready by the time they get up to yer or my waist! By the time their our size, they produce nearly four liters of cum; which is pretty impressive for something as small as they are with an internal gonad! By the time they’re full sized, the have a three-and-a-half foot knob and can fill a bath.” She laughs

→Ask the Brood mother about the weird old lady in the basement.

>Mana turns to the Broodmother about the weird lady in the basement. The broodmother twists her head in confusion.
“Been here since egg. No basement. No lady. Would know. Know home.”
Mana explains the hidden door to the Broodmother, but that simply confuses her more.
Ellie pipes up and and explains to the Queen that Mana must have gotten hit on the head on her way up. She Whispers to Mana afterwards, “I don’t know about any door, either, and I’ve been here an awful lot. Ye should believe the old girl ‘bot never seeing a door though.” Her whisper drops even lower, “Poor drakes aren’t smart enough to perceive magically hidden objects. I dunno what ye saw, but the drakes woulda seen it, regardless.” (Strange Old Woman updated; Strange Old Woman: now even stranger.)

→ Return to town.

> After a bit longer in the tower, the adventurers all begin moving towards the wagon. By the time all are aboard, the sun is already dipping low into the sky. Many of the riders are extremely tired and sleep as the wagon trundles long.

By the time they finally reach Stansengate it’s deep into the night, and the gates are closed.
A series of tents are set up by the adventurers where everyone one sleeps till morning, when the gates are once again opened.
In the morning, Mana is awakened by her drunk employer with a hearty ‘thank-yo’ and a few gold pieces. (5 gold added).

→ What does she do?
> Check the Notice board.
> Go talk to Ano.
> Go talk to Hiekya.
> Go buy something from the shops (specify).
> Other (Input Action).

First and foremost, talk to Ano about the strange woman.
Second, find out exactly how much each drake skin is worth. (We don't need to sell them just yet, just have them appraised.)
Third, ask if Hieka would help in making a drake leather outfit for us, offer a drake skin of her own if we need to. (I've tried making stuff out of leather before, one thing I can tell you with absolute certainty is that if you try to make your first thing you make on your own, it will always come out sucking.)
Finally, we need to actually do what we came here for, and learn some stuff from Ano. (Sure, that's not what we actually came here for, but HE doesn't know that.)

I agree, let's talk to Ano. We don't have Sibin as a contact, he was Mana's first 'magic tutor' and that cobra commander hiss has me suspicious so we should ask Ano about him. Asking about the Old Lady and her blood trades makes sense, advice on the drake skins and non threatening/distracting armor and finally putting in a day or two of work or lessons there sounds like a great idea.

Input: Go talk to Ano. Ask him about the mysterious woman and anything about blood deals, along with contact information, and maybe info on where the two assistants may be (we're going to need to bring that slime out somehow!) Then head on out to appraise the leather and find if there's a good price on them (since we love to spend the gold and it'll be nice to have some extra gold). Finally visit Hiekya, chat with her before checking out the notice board and see if there's anything new.

→ Examine: Drake Skin

> Shiny smooth skins that Mana harvested from ‘respawning drakes.’ They scales are smooth and somewhat protective, but their glossy sheen is definitely what draws the eye to them. She has 7 full hides in her possession and 9 scraps.

→ Examine: Warriors Legion

>The Warriors Legion is one of Lona’s longest living guilds, outlasted only by the Hunter’s Gathering. The Warriors Legion is considered by most as just a union for mercenaries, Allowing them to charge higher prices for jobs. A lot of members say the benefits are pretty good, even if dues are a bit steep.

→ Go Talk to Ano about the Strange Old Woman along with contact information for his two assistants.

>After stopping at the Flagon for a quick clean up, Mana heads over to Ano’s tower. The excitable wizard is quite easy to find amongst his towers of books and experiments, due to his energetic humming and a habit of clinking his vials together.
Mana is startled to find a familiar face looking over Ano’s shoulder.
Ellie waves and smiles at Mana and taps on Ano’s side.

“HMM? Yes? OH! Mana! There you are! I want to introduce you to a colleague of mine! This is Ellie! An expert in Draconic and Sub-Draconic races! I remembered you were asking about drakes and I had heard that she was in town, so I asked her to come talk to you!”
Ellie laughs. “Surprised to see that yer the student Ol’ Ano was talkin’ about. Me and the kitty here ‘ave already met believe it or not! Dr. Ellie Kobols at yer service! If you need to know anything about dragons, sub-dragons, or dragonoids; come chat me up!” She gives a big grin.
Ano is surprised at the revelation, but glad that introductions went so smoothly. “So Mana what brings you to the tower?”
Mana nods and slowly approaches the topic of the strange old woman.
The two look at each other. Ellie gives a shrug, but Ano seems to have an inkling to what Mana is asking.
“I’ve heard some rumors about an old lady appearing in odd places. She offers Items in exchange for ‘aspects.’ I had a account for the city come in after taking one of her little deals. Came in for lessons on basic arithmetic! Super strange! Regardless, I’d be very careful about taking them!” (Strange Old Woman: now even stranger! removed, Dark dealings added
Mana nods in understanding. She also asks about his assistants, hoping to maybe finally meet them.
Ano Shakes his head. “Not today. They’re off gathering Elf root. May be on that job for several days. You could go out and meet them if you like!” He explains where to find his forlorn assistants.

→ Ask about how much a drake skin is worth.

> Ellie pops in to answer before Ano can start speaking. “The Kids in the tower were in very good health and had a good diet. Any full skins yeh woulda got off of them would be worth around 30 gold per piece.” She says with a bit of a bounce in her seat.

→ Go to Heikya and ask about her helping make a new outfit.

>Mana bids the experts goodbye and heads to Heikya to ask for help working with the drake leather. She sadly is unable to help but she recommends going to see a specific tailor on the outskirts of town. “Just…. Don’t mind the owner. She’s a lil’ strange, but she’ isn’t gon’ to cheat yah.”
Mana Heads to the location in question, finding a small shop. Walking in She finds a fairly nice little boutique. A lovely looking human lady stands behind the counter, greeting Mana.
“Hello Misss. What bringss you to my little shop today.”
Mana finds it a tad odd how the woman pronounces her ‘S’s but she attempts to not mind it too much. She asks the Woman about crafting together the drake leather into some leather fittings.

“Well that shouldn’t be ssuch a hasssle, essspecially ssince you have the material already… I’ll need ssix hids and maybe sseven scrapss to work with? And then 40 gold for my sservice charge.” She comes uot from behind the counter and takes some quick measurements. “Let me do ssome dessigning. I’ll show you some sketchess if you come back tomorrow!” The woman seems quite happy to do the work.
Mana thanks her and leaves, heading back to the Fiendish Flagon.

→ Check the Notice board

>Mana Decides she’s going to take a look at the Notice board to see if there are any new jobs that she can help out with. Some still remain from the last time, but a couple new ones have popped up since.

+ A farmer in need: seems a bunch of slimes have taken residence in his barn, and despite his best efforts he can’t get the little suckers to move out. he’s offering 40 gold to anyone that helps him out.
+ Assistant Drill Sergeant Wanted: With the wealth of new recruits for the town guard, their current instructor is a bit swamped. Help is appreciated and the town has budgeted out 100 gold a day for 7 days, and will consider more days of pay if the assistant proves to be especially good during those 7 days.
+ Predator scares local cattle: Hunt it down, remove the scare factor. Sweet and simple. pays 40 gold.
+ Curse Removal: Seems a client has a big issue. Not much explanation on this one, but the pay is a whopping 1000 gold, and the proviso ‘Be prepared for the long haul.’
+ Join the Warriors Legion: looks like a recruitment flier. Mana isn’t super interested, but makes a note of it none-the-less.

On her way out, she waves to the two former neko slaves. Heikya apparently has given them work.

→ Learn from Ano.

>Ano is pleased to teach Mana about a few of the world's many races. By the end of the day, she finds herself more knowledgeable about Knolls.
After her lessons , she returns to the Flagon and sleeps till the next morning.

Commentary: OK, so I'm not exactly the best when it comes to money, but right now if we were to sell all of our hides, that will net us 210g, which isn't a bad payday... even then, that's more than what's being offered right now. Although 1000 is amazing... I'm going to hold that off until we have some idea as to what we're getting into (figuring that we are going to need stuff to do some curse removal. It'll be interesting to see, maybe get some kinks thrown in while we're at it?) If anything, if we go with making something out of the leather, at least we can sell the remaining piece since we're 10g short for what is being offered, and we're kinda going to need more...

Unless we wanna sell Mana's body off to earn some change... (not even going to! >.<)

Commentary: Taking inspiration from one of my own characters, I imagine that our tailoress may enjoy taking Mana's measurements, if you know what I mean (even if they're already done)

There SOO is much here! But this is my quick reply to VB . We may have some coin left over in that mattress to help cover costs. Mana may volunteer to clean around Ano's place for 10 g/day. So don't sell that extra skin yet. The tailor human she has pointy ears and that hiss that some of the magic users mana has encountered before have. Aside from the drake scales lets ask the tailor about other clothes she could recommend for us or materials she wants to work with.

Before we start into a job maybe we should learn what we can from the cute Dr. Kobols. If this expert is going to leave town. Also this assistant quest and the military training seems time sensitive and we may want to figure out who the local alpha knoll breeders are.

As much information as there is it seems prudent to seek even more information. Making an 'initial contact' with the people who offer these four jobs. There's 2080 gold floating out there.

But you bring up a couple points. What is the attitude in Stensgate on being a flirt? Selling service, favors or even prostitution?

- Of the quests we already have, there's only one where we can actively make progress: Raunchy Research. -> Ask Ano if watching her have sex with another female Neko would be enough or if it has to be m/f.

- I suggest we find out what advantages drake skin clothing has over the stuff she wears currently. Maybe selling it is a better deal. Ask Ellie or the tailoress.

- Take the farmer in need job. Ask Heikya if she knows anything about the 1000 gold deal. (1000 gold! That's a LOT! And maybe we can solve the problem with sex instead of magic knowledge. And if not, we can always come back later.)

- Figure out the species of the tailoress. Maybe she's not on our list, and we need to expand it.

- I have to admit, I'm not terribly interested in the assistants or the elf root.

- I suggest we take Ano's classes every day now.

You may not be interested in the assistants' elf root, but I for one am curious as to what this elf root does... And it would be a great chance to meet the others in a setting where they couldn't hide or run away! Though I am in agreement with you that we should find out what good drake leather armor would do, (aside from being aesthetically pleasing.)

Input: ask Ano what the elf root is for and if he thinks it would be a good idea to go help out his assistants. Also, ask the Seamstress what use (if any) the armor we were asking for yesterday would have in a combat setting in comparison to what we have on now.

edit: While we're in Ano's presence, perhaps we should ask if he has any suggestions on how to get rid of an infestation of slimes without killing them. After all, if memory serves, this is the second job on the board Mana has seen concerning them, and Mana does have a thing about getting her hands dirty with needless killing.
