It seems the apartments were identical. Immediately to your right as you enter is the kitchen and to your left is a closet and a shoe rack, likely for coats and footwear or whatever else you might put. Past the kitchen is a living room with a plasma TV that's half the size of the wall facing a three person couch and a lazyboy chair. Past this at the wall facing the beach is double sliding doors leading out to the balcony, or a small walkout with a lawn table and three chairs if you're on the ground floor. To your left, facing the sliding doors, is a hallway leading to the bathroom, another larger closet, and the bedroom at the end. Altogether, there was plenty of room. All the common appliances you might need were there, including a refrigerator, stove, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, all the necessities and a little bit extra covered.

You look around the office and you actually don't her. You look around a little bit more and eventually come across her next to the swimming pool. Her jacket is off and the top two buttons of her blouse are undone. Her long black hair is released from the confines of a ponytail and she seems to relaxing on one of the lounge chairs, her eyes closed, but they open when she hears your footsteps on the concrete.
"Konbanwa, Lauren."
You ask her about her powers and other things. She closes her eyes again before responding.
"Mmm... I was leading the Japanese Research Team investigating into meta humans. One day, I was arguing with a colleague, and... it just happened."
You continue to ask her about her job and she says, "It depends. The mission comes first at the end of the day."

You find lemonade, water and a few things to eat, but the fridge was kept pretty sparse. It seems if you wanted to fully stock it, you'd have to head downstairs to that large pantry. You relax for the better part of an hour before you receive a knock at the door. You look through the small peephole and see Rufus on the other side. It seems he shirked his suit and was now wearing a simple black muscle shirt and jeans. He wore it all quite well considering his strong build.
"It's me, Rufus, your favorite meta," he calls out.

Both of you look out toward the sun, as half of it is now beneath the horizon and illuminating the sky and the ocean with an array of orange, yellow, and blue colors. As you get a view of the sea, you see three other members of the MHD walking toward the parking lot. It seems they were eager to start their mission. Other than that, you have free reign of the place, or you can simply go to sleep and rise early for the mission tomorrow.

The three of you find your respective beds and sofas very comfortable. It was certainly private sector, not a cheap futon, and it was likely the MHD furnished all of this in addition to buying it out. You're free to rest as long as you wish. I will skip forward in 1-2 posts to the next day.

As the three of you arrive in the parking lot in the front of the building, you see the last streaks of light reaching out over the sky. However, you're determined to begin your mission now. As the three of you pick out a car, all three of your phones ring simultaneously. When you pull it out and look at the ID, you see Lillian's face. Assuming you answer it, you all hear her voice talking to you.
"Okay, since you three are the try-hards it seems, I'll be your handler for this mission. If you have any questions, pick up your phone and text or call this number. A man named Takeda Shogen lost his daughters and wife to a xenos ambush. He was returning home as he saw them make their escape. Street cameras and satellite images reveal more or less the same thing, and we detect psychic levels indicating nearby xenos activity. Now, as to the location, Hachijo is off the coast, so you'll have a bit of driving to do followed by taking a long ferry ride. They usually carry vehicles too, so you won't have to worry about abandoning your car. You could always get a flight, but I know how Jack feels about planes. Again, let me know if you have anymore questions. Good luck, metas."
