We're actually in the base too, just in the alien containment portion on the lower floors. We headed down there after visiting the firing range and getting some food.

Edit: MelissaB: All I remember being here is mutons and seekers (and hybrids, but we aren't punching those). So... yeah I'm sure we'll be fine
The purpose is more to learn the aliens' combat style, not to win.

Ah I see now. We saw seekers and berserkers as we walked in (I just called them mutons generically).
As we waited for Vahlen we saw more aliens including sectoids, thin men, and hybrids.

Depends on what Vahlen puts us up against, I bet we could take on sectoids or thin men. Possibly a seeker if it's 2-on-1. Guess we'll find out just how spiteful she is towards us "barbarians"
And even if we lose, we learn something. Even if it's to know our limitations.

Hmmmm... just realized I said that before looking at the GM post and Smalls was being chased by 5 mutons... I'm sure my hubris wont come back to haunt me.
