We need gold sooooo let's find out about the whole rookery thing

Input: Wait for the Drunkard to come back with his friends. While waiting talk to Ano about the potion options, or just cook some water and floor (sticky goop much?) (and yup the impact one sound better)

1) So what will be the medieval version of an RV, hm?

2) Granted this is a typo, but she's going to rip off the floor to get goo? I think you're going to get soggy wood than anything sticky (unless there's sap still in those boards)

Still love seeing how Sis 'handled' our kitten. If we talk to Ano, asking about that potion she may have taken as well as that whole area of suppressants, heat triggers to handle the arousal when its convenient/safe or before a journey.

Thinking about it, It may make sense to let those rescued knolls, training with the town guard know that Mana is still a bit of a stranger in a strange land. That she has an interest in a 'safe' partner to take the heat off who won't take advantage, that she is willing to be helpful at those times when they have the need. Window shopping for what potion components are purchasable may be handy and offer a chance to learn about rubber and so on.

If there's a way to replicate the contraceptive herbs then sure it might be good to try out... along with that potion Sis used as well, just for some... 'special' occasions, hm?

At least get a good ally to call on when she needs help, so there's something to also consider. Plus the benefits aren't half-bad, either ;)

I like where this is going!

So, wait for the drunkard and his friends. They shouldn't take too long.
Inquire which ingredients Ano already has in stock.

Chat with Heikya while you're waiting for the drunkard to return. Can't let any time go to waste!

→ Go talk to Ano about the potions (going with the Impact potion for the applicable issue).

>Mana finds herself in a bit of conundrum considering how many potions she’s trying to put together. She heads to Ano’s tower.
After she arrives, she asks Ano about a few choice alchemic ventures.

>She first inquires about the ingredients for the Impact potion, and potentially where she can find the ingredients to make one.
“I don’t have anything in stock for an impact potion, besides sticky goopy tree sap. I would say you may be able to bother Nicky to give up a little of her slime, but for SOME reason my assistants keep disappearing! The other two ingredients for that particular mixture are quite difficult to get a hold of unless you have it transported from one of the port towns, and then you have to hire a Cold-Wagon! I suppose you can just go there yourself, though, since you aren’t obligated to do work for Stansengate’s lord.” Ano nods affirmatively at that last note.

>Mana asks about the contraceptive packets and if it would be cheaper to reproduce it.
Ano admits that he knows how to make them, but also admits that the means that Heikya and the apothecary use to produce them are the most efficient for this area. The absolute cheapest ingredient to make them is found in the mountains to the North, but after you have them shipped the price is essentially the same.

>Mana asks about ways of ‘controlling’ her heats.
Ano tells her that he does not have extensive knowledge of Nekomatas and their mating cycles. “To be very, very, VERY frank, I would need to do some second person observation…. AND to be be even more frank: I’d have to watch you have sex.” He nods affirmatively.
He further admits that from the sounds of it, it would be far easier to just trigger the things instead of suppressing them. He figures it would be possible to suppress them, but it require quite a bit of research. (‘Raunchy Research’ added)

→ Find out about drakes.

> Mana figures that Ano is probably the perfect person to ask about drakes, and since she’s already here:
“Drakes? OOoooh! Nasty buggers, them! They’re not near as intelligent as Dragons and more vicious than wyverns! If you invade wyvern territory, they’re likely to just watch you; Drakes on the other hand WILL swarm you. On the bright side, drakes don’t have any form of poison to worry about; and while they can breath fire, it’s more to just seem threatening than it is to actually fight off invaders! IF you do happen to take some down, do be sure to try grabbing some skins. They’re quite valuable, and I hear they make some nice, sturdy clothing!”
Mana makes a mental note, and thanks Ano for the time.
“Anything to help my students learn!” (Drake knowledge added)

→ Introduce herself to the knolls from before.

>She stops by the training yard to introduce herself to the knolls.
They recognize her as the neko that helped them get free, but they don’t seem terribly concerned with chatting with her. She may have to get something to barter their attention before they’ll give her the time of day. She leaves the training yard a tad peeved at the results.

→ Wait for the drunk to return with his friends.

> Mana returns to the place where she found the loud Drunkard and waits for the man to return with his friends.
He comes back fairly quickly with several other men in tow; some of them quite large like him some of them more bookish looking.

“SO REMEMBER LITTLE CAT WOMAN! I’m hiring you to grab the armor pieces in the rookery, while we collect eggs so that I can focus on egg collecting instead of armor collecting! You just give me the word when you’re ready to go and we’ll head out! The chicken will stay here.” This last statement is accompanied by a confused cluck.
Mana nods as an affirmation that she understands.
She hears one of the bookish looking individuals mutters from the back of the pack: “Even with the assistance of the neko, our probability of success does not increase by any substantial amount…”

(Jumps on the rooftops and shouts to the heavens) YES, MY COMPUTER IS FINALLY BACK FROM THE SHOP!!! Now, to put in my two cents worth about- (sees he missed an update) NOOOO!!! I'm starting to turn into "The Fool" here, aren't I?

Commentary: Although I'm a little peeved at Sis for forgetting our cut for making her heist easier and more profitable, I can at least understand why Mana forgot. Also, why do I get the feeling that the chicken will find a way to follow us to the nest?

Input: get to know our temporary new partners and ally's. Not knowing what we have to work with up front may put us in a bind later, similar to that of going head-to-head with a grand master without knowing what all of our chess pieces do.

Check equipment first before heading out to the Rookery. What do we have that can be sued for this job?
And what is this job even about, anyways?
An Axe, a shield, and a good fight are all y'need for a good time! That and some friends to share it with!

Angry chicken!(s)

Theory:: A way to cover and quiet the armor pieces, sounds smart rather than trucking shiny clunky large bits. Bags maybe? Question a smith?.. Drake leather outfit. hmm....

Input: Leave half her gold with Heikya or Ano (Or in/around her room) in case of an emergency and head out to the rookery.

→ Find a way to cover and quiet the armor pieces, sounds smart rather than trucking shiny clunky large bits

> Mana decides that she probably doesn’t want any direct confrontation with these drake creatures and she should probably find a way to stifle the clanking that carrying around a load of armor may cause. The sneakier she is, the better off she is.
She asks Heikya if she can borrow the sheets from her room. The goblin woman gives her the go ahead, but warns “If you lose ‘em though, you don’t get any new ones til ya pay me back for the lost ones!” (sheets added)
She acknowledges this stature and runs over to the market. She asks one of the farmers displaying their goods if she can buy a large sack off of one of them. She quickly finds a older woman willing to take her up on that, selling Mana a large sack for a gold. (1 gold removed, large sack added)
Mana stuffs the sheets into the large sack in a fairly tactical manner, hopefully making an effective means of silently transporting the armor pieces. (sheets removed, large sack removed, cushioned sack added).

→ Leave half her gold case of an emergency and head out to the rookery.

>A little weary of the situation she may find herself in, Mana decides to leave some of her funds hidden in her room. She lifts her mattress, puts a small cut in the underside, and stuffs a small coin purse into the puncture. She makes a not to fix that up when she’s no longer in need of stashing loot. (20 gold removed).

> She returns to the Drunkard and his group of adventurers, and tells them that she ready to ship out.

→ Get to know our temporary new partners and allies. Not knowing what we have to work with up front may put us in a bind later.

>Mana decides that she should take stock of her employer’s friends before they arrive in a situation that she may need help.
Besides her and the Drunkard, they load into a wagon with 11 other adventures all wearing similar decorative bands. 6 of them are wearing large sets of armor much like the drunkard; as they ride along the road all of them check their shields and sharpen their weapons. Dutifully inspecting their gear before any coming conflict. The other 5 seem to be more inclined to magic, many of them sit and study their spell books. One mage in particular sits at the end, running numbers in a journal.
Mana sees that her boss is going through some of the same procedure; however, he anxiously taps his foot all the while. He seems awfully impatient when not drowning in ale.
At the rear of the wagon, an enraged rooster stares down the entire party.

>After a few hours ride towards the east, a tower begins to come into view. The Drunkard points it out to Mana. “There it is!”
Mana nods, ready for the job at hand!
When they arrive, everyone piles out of the wagon and stretches. One of the warriors calls everyone to circle up, wanting to go over the plan again so that everyone knows their roles.
The leader doles out duties to each of the adventurers. “We are removing the eggs so that we can get through here to higher levels of the tower remember. So unless there’s anything anyone needs in the lower sections we’ll just pass them up once we move these.”
Another of the adventurers calls out “Didn’t somebody want some of the armor littered around before?”
The leader nods and responds “Yes, but this time we have hired a rogue to handle picking that up. That way none of us need to be distracted with looting while dealing with deadly, deadly drakes. Dule, you mind running the numbers for us? What do our chances look like?”

As the mage from before begins to rattle off statistics, Mana notices the Drunkard again anxiously tapping his foot. She considers going and asking her employer if everything is okay, but she also thinks that if she does that she may miss something important that the rest of the group discusses.

→ What does Mana do?
> Listen to rest of the groups discussion.
> Consol her boss.

-> Console her boss.

Hopefully she'll be able to intuit or piece together whatever she misses out on, but his emotional state is an immediate potential problem and opportunity.

I am inclined to agree, our boss is a greater threat than missing the foot notes. Besides, we know our duties and i dont want to see any "Leeroy Jenkins!" shit. this guy has a chicken and we are fighting drakes with a raid group, not to mention the pre op tactics and numbers. It's a copy paste of the infamous event.

Not sure I understand what you meant by that, do you wanna put the slave collar on the boss, one of his men, the boss's chicken, or on a drake?

Also:
An idea that I just thought of that may make everything a bit easier. After all, this isn't a game, all NPC's need sleep eventually, right?
Simply wait 'till the drakes are starting to dose off, grab a few noise makers (a sword or ax against a shield, a giant rock set up to roll down the side of a hill, etc,) set them up at an end of the nest that no one cares about, then set them off just as you're about to start to make your raid. Heck, if we want, we can have the loud drunkard of a man be the one to set them off!

So you want our dear boss to wake up all the drakes...then what? Because the drunkard is going to be quite the bait/dinner for the drakes xD and we kinda need this one alive to give us a reward (for the job)

Well, I didn't say it was a good idea! The thought was that after setting off the noise makers, whoever got the shortest straw to have this job would then turn around and run like crazy until they found some cover, then dive in and hide 'til the coast is clear and meet up with the rest of the gang as they enter.

... Now that I think about it, if we go through with my plan, we might want to find a nice hiding spot ahead of time.
