Interesting. I am really excited for it. This and Space Escape are ones I am watching. HOpefully you don't turn into Space Escape though with almost two years since an update though. :P

But all good products take time. I'm just sad that this isn't somehow already a complete game, 40 hours.

Also, if you ever played that one where the guy has a mansion and collects girls with collars...that one was amazing because the humor in it was the best. "I FUCKING HATE TURNUPS!" When he burns that farm down. I laughed so hard.

Not clothing destruction per se, but clothing attacks. My issue with clothing destruction is that I would feel the need for the clothing to stay damaged after battles. That would mean creating new standing sprites for each outfits and new NPC dialogue to reflect the clothing state. That's a lot of work, plus, so many other games already have clothing destruction.

So, my idea is to take it in a slightly different direction. Instead of damaging Aylia's clothes, certain monsters can try to "attack" her clothing in outfit specific ways. If Aylia is wearing the peasant dress, a monster might try and pull her dress down--thereby exposing her breasts. When in that state, Aylia's breasts would then be fair game for h-attacks during that battle. Afterwards, Aylia would fix her clothing (which would eliminate the need for new dialogue/standing sprites). Also, this allows for some fun variety in that each outfit will lend itself to different attacks. So, if Aylia is wearing the Hunter's Tunic, the monsters instead pull down her shorts, exposing her panties. Then they attack her in other ways.

In the end, the stuff I have in place has been fun to play during tests, and I think people will find it erotic (if they like battle sex type stuff).

I want to say the scene with dirk kinda threw me off a bit. Although I didn't mind seeing Aylia's breasts, I did feel the need to see her but a massive wallop on him for pulling down the top she already didn't like in the first place. Then again that's just me. The rest of the game is great and the cg fits pretty well. The only thing I got that might have been a bug is that when you exit the mine and are in the mining town, if you change out/in to the sack she stays on screen for quite a while.

Thanks for the positive comments! I appreciate it and use them as motivation to work on the game when I get home from my job.
@Devour: You know, I agree. I'm going to tweak that scene a bit, as Aylia really is furious. She's not the type to simply take that lying down.
@merlin169: Let's wait until the full demo's release. It is not too far off now. I'll try and find a second hosting option, but Mega has worked great for me so far. Have you tried using Chrome?

For those following along, things are progressing. I've posted status updates in a few forums and did not want to leave you guys out! I'm hoping to get the next chunk of game released in a few weeks. I've got my itemized list, and am crossing things off daily. Here is an estimate of what I have left:

Battle system: 98% done - All but one enemy sprite is finished, drafts of all the common events and skills are created, but unbalanced.
Main Quests: 100% done!
Side Quests: 60% done
Maps: 90% done (2 more to parallax)
Writing: 80% done
Music and sound: 80% from where I want it for the demo. I will improve this down the line.
Minor animation work: 50%
Day/night system: 10%

My focus has been on getting the battle system going after I got the scripts from an awesome supporter. Most of the system is in place and working, and I think it is quite fun to play. Below is a teaser shot of the battle system in action. Aylia should probably protect her dress a bit more, eh? :D

I always use chrome but it says the file contains content that may be harmful to my computer so it was blocked and I can't figure out how to do anything about it it does this with everything I try to download from mega

Have you tried going to your download tab in chrome and press recover malicious file?

You beat me to the punch SirBalto. When it says that Merlin, just click on "show downloads" and it will give you a recover file option.

Had to come out of lurking to let you know how awesome this game looks. Played the prologue and loved it (besides the very limited content). Really excited for the chapter 1 release, judging by the to do list it looks to be right around the corner. Art is great, story/characters are great and from what I've read game play looks like it'll be great (once the battle system is implemented). Keep at it! Looking forward to a lot more from you and thank you.

Looks amazing from here. You're putting a lot of games to shame right now and you haven't even finished the demo yet lol.

On Patreon, YummyTiger mentioned a possible Patreon release date of March 20th, hopefully no later than the end of the month. The public release being a week afterwards.

This is really great! I love what you've done so far overall.

What kind of help would you need for the battle system, if you haven't already received it? While I don't have much experience, I'm fairly confident that any kind of scripting that needs to be done for RPG Maker I can handle/figure out relatively quickly. To be frank, I have far too much free time on my hands and helping out on a project like this would be great - Maybe PM me if you're still looking for help in that area?

On another note, the writing is quite nice overall and I like what you've done with the characters but there are a few spelling mistakes. Compliment, and not complement when Bogwort speaks after leaving the mines for example.

Thanks for the replies. It is really awesome to see how many people have enjoyed the prologue. Believe me, I am doing my best to get stuff figured out and this next release out. It seems like so many minor hurdles are springing up and slowing things down, but I'll get it released soon.

@Adelhart: Thanks so much for the offer. I did get help getting the battle system running, but if you feel your Ruby skills are up to snuff, I do have some other things I hoping to get working at some point. One script in particular I would love to get customized slightly. I'll send you a PM.
