Menu [FLA Included]

Postby Exist » Tue Jul 05, 2011 10:08 pm

I made a menu awhile ago for a few projects I was working on and they never got finished. The menu is light weight and only uses rollover events. Here take a look (this is the as3 version as I feel it works better then the as2 version)

And so you can see how easy it is to implement, I added it too LoK V2. (This is the as2 version since thats what LoK is written in).

Really nice. I was expecting a crappy looking GUI. Nice job on the filters.

It wouldn't be too hard to alter this to fit whatever style someone is going with in their project. It would also be useful to clear up a clutter of buttons at the cost of an extra click so you can see more of the action. The Super Deepthroat project probably influenced this idea but that's a good thing. This shows more effort than just throwing a simple background behind a group of buttons and call it a day like I'm guilty of doing.

You caught me there. I liked the style and flow of SDT's menus and I thought, why not make my own version.

It shouldn't be working, it's just a screen IMO. That being said, it will most likely only work with AS2 since AS3 doesn't allow the frame of the stage to be moved.

An update I say!

I just spent two hours working on volume controls. They work pretty well but only allow one soundtrack. Best part about them is that they are drag and drop. They can be found under the cube in the menu.

Credits to Valve for their track. Halls of science if anyone is wondering.
