--> Ask wizard about "source material" and show slime crystal, ask if that or double the amount would be enough to make a sentient slime for testing on.

>Heikya shows the Wizard the slime crystal she snatched from the sewer nest.
He seems quite ecstatic about her find and takes the crystal from her.

>"This is about as good as it get in terms of source material! I'll get to work on making our little friend smarter as soon as I can."
Heikya smiles and informs him that he can take as much time as he needs. (Slime Crystal removed)

---> buy a mirror in town and tie the mirror onto her buckle.

>Heikya heads to the market and finds a buckler sized mirror. She has to divvy up 25 gold, but that's a fair price compared to being incapacitated while fighting a giant snake. She ties the looking glass to her buckler, effectively creating a small mirror shield.

--> buy a sheep & feed it something nasty to poison it, or kill it and use her knowledge of explosions to hide a bomb in it!

> Heikya is terrified! She may not have any qualms about murdering a horny gnoll that thinks he's about to get lucky, but that's two steps shy of psychotic killer.... Plus she thinks sheep are cute, so no.

--> The "snake" is getting more and more suspicious, so go investigate the cave where it's supposed to be, but do it stealthily and keep the bow ready, just in case.

> Heikya heads out to the cave to investigate further. She finds the cave and observes it from a hidden spot. She doesn't see it come or go anytime during the day, but she does notices something very peculiar.
There are no bones around the cave; most of the time if a beast is inhabiting a cave, there are remains of fallen prey decorating the exterior of their lair. This seems very... clean and hidden. Almost tidy.
Odd.

>What does she do.
--> Approach the cave and investigate further.
--> Wait till night and keep watch.
--> Return to town and speak to the Wizard.
--> Return to town and Approach the man from the Warriors Legion.
--> Return to town and talk to the Clerics.
--> other (input action)

Lets try a poll! you each have three choices, and you can change your mind on them. I'll take a look at it on the update and see what everyone thinks.
Also: sorry for the slow updates. Hitting the end of my quarter and the work load is getting intense.

Commentary: I'm kinda tempted to do a silly response, but considering how there's already one person doing that and leading to some great responses in the process (plus why would anyone want to blow up such a cute face of a sheep's? They're so fluffy, too!), so I guess I'll go with everyone and say...

Input: Approach the cave and investigate further.

Considering how tidy the cave is and how there's only farm animals missing - no actual farmers - the snake is likely sentient and not hostile. Approaching the cave should be safe. (Too bad we spent money on that mirror... oh well. Could come in handy.)

Oops, I got judged as a psychotic killer, guess I'll shelve those plans ;)

I vote Heikya stays in the woods a bit, practices her survival craft looking for signs of giant snakes and waits till night.

I love the idea of Heikya training her skills and hunting/tracking/trapping the snake, but anything that involves throwing something that is 'sneaky' and giving it cover of night is a bad idea.

approach the cave

quick question, are their any restraints to Heikya's on person storage space? Pack limit/speed penalties for overburdening. If so I suggest looking into some sort of storage to put unnecessary items and any loot we wouldn't want getting stolen or lost to some mishap.

HOWDY YALL! Been reading up on this here cyoa and I say its been rather fun! SO I'M JOINING IN THE CRAZY TRAIN!

Well then, seeing that this snake may be very intelligent and might be trying to start its own farm (seeing that its not harming any folks and it doesn't seem to eating the stolen livestock), I say sneak your way into the cave and try to spy on our scaly friend.

Hopefully we catch it in the act of... well fucking sheep. >-> WELL IF IT AIN'T STARTING A FARM, OR EATING THEM, THEN WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE STEALING SHEEP FOR?
TEA?

... actually having tea with sheep is another possible explanation.

I'm surprised none of the option given by the wizard is transmorphig into some kind of lizardfolk or dragonfolk. I guess reptiles are never popular in these here fantasy games. Am I the only one who appreciates non-mammal mammaries?

What about those of the aviary class? Just thinking about it... And still have no idea what a royal morph is, even with the picture. Explain to this to me just what it is because I have no clue.

Looking at the image and the explanation that the wizard gave of them, my guess would be that royal morph's are a slime type creature.

Yeah my brain couldn't really figure that out, and I just wanted to make sure... and now this is just leading to a whole new idea for me.

Oh yes, I forgot about bird people.

I guess I can be a birdbrain sometimes.

And yes, I also assume the Royal Morph are slime people with fancy abilities.

Since Royal Morphs have an alien intelligence would that make them more resilient to the demon's mind control?
