Ok, thanks for the stats and the info. I'll probably just add an extra 5 years to her, then put those stats on :)

Is it fine for me to just use Ciera, but just edit her to the new CS? like I mean keep her stats and stuff, but change what I need to to match the new one

So I don't really know if it's worth posting a character at this point considering all the slots seem to be full but I guess it would hurt... right?

Appearance: Couldn’t find a picture that I thought fit her image too well, so this one outlines her general body structure but not really her attire. I assume she’d be wearing anything from a tracksuit, to mechanic overalls, or a t-shirt and jeans.

Val was fortunate enough to be born during the new era, under the leadership of Hatchet. Her childhood and teenage years were spent peacefully at work. There was enough food for entire family, there hadn’t been a major dispute between communities in years, and even education was making a comeback. Then all the great things Val grew up with suddenly vanished. It all happened so fast, one minute Springs was experiencing the greatest harvest in its sort recorded history, the next there were screams and fires and sinister mushroom cloud enveloping the horizon. Val heard echo’s of gunshots and grenades shattering all over the town, some people fled, some fought, and others like herself hid. They waited out their hostile invaders. In short time all the shots had ceased, which only made the screams and cries that much louder. Though in time even those too faded away. It didn’t take long for her home to be targeted and the simple doors put in place to protect them practically excused themselves from functioning. Val had been sheltered her whole life by the friendly community of Springs, and on this day the community was no where to be found. Several large armed men forced her and her family out of their home and they began a long march, that some say end only with death. Val spent the next seven to eight years as a slave, which has progressed from terrible to actually somewhat bearable. She was first, as many female slaves are, used for sex, though the third eye did deter a few slavers from trying a slice of the pie. Eventually her responsibilities shifted more into manual labor, along the lines of hauling, cooking, and cleaning. But after showing her potential in repairing objects the slavers have made that her primary job. She operates as a mechanic and a builder constructing useful tools from scraps and repairing machinery in important slaver locations.

I'd say that's fine and she'd just have a hard time with the technical aspects like setting mines, but then I'd be breaking my own rules since explosives are restricted to the big two gangs/former members of. So I'm gonna have to say no.

Ehhh, sure, that's fine. Saves me a bit of hassle in re-casting inventory. As in put Ciera in a new setting?

Missing the five mutations requirement for subhumans. Well... Unless you wanted her to have four extra arms. Otherwise I don't see anything major.

Unarmed focuses more on hand-to-hand combat and the use of things like spiked knuckles and such. Melee focuses more on combat via tools like shovels and knives. Unarmed has more versatility of use while melee has more versatility of weapons. In 1.0 the two were used by the grunt class mainly.


Eye mutation? Lets say it provides +1 perception/-1 leadership. As for the background, that's more than alright. I encourage folks to mess around with the setting a bit, and try to only include the "core history" as "hard coded into the story."

I went with the unarmed/melee because I didn't think any of the other combat skills would make sense for the character, I think either fits. I'd rather go unarmed to support the character concept but if that means I pretty much guaranteed low damage for the entirety of the RP I'll go with melee.

Wrapping up Ciera's post, and then I just gotta get Val's in, and make some minor edits to stuff. Should be up in about three hours (just got home from work, blegh).

Generally melee weapons will have a slightly higher damage output, but this'll be reflected by the damage output decreasing even more due to wear and tear.

So point for point, a knife would beat spiked knuckles at full HP, but at half HP (standard) they're be about the same, and a quarter HP, the knife will be the less useful weapon.

So I just moved and I've been having countless internet issues with my service provider. (this is the third time I've tried to post this) So if you guys want to avoid relying on a response from my character that will keep the story moving. I'm going to try to make an IC post in a bit

Shouldn't Wyviera have 14hp since she has a 14 END and 11 LUCK?

I'll try to work on the next post on Wednesday since I don't think I have any homework Thursday. If it's not up by Thursday evening though, it probably won't be up until Saturday morning.

Yeah, I just forgot to apply the +2. Derp.

Actually, that should be a general note to everyone to make sure to either incorporate your bonuses, or list little parenthesis next to your stats. I'll usually double check that stuff, but 2 A.M. writing sometimes results in cutting corners! :oops:

That's fine. I'll usually just give a heads up about when I'm planning to write the next post, and if folks don't have a post up by that point, they just get skipped over until the next post.

Sweeeeet. Looks good at a glance. I'm thinking the two extra arms should negate two-handed dual wielding to -2/-2 instead of the typical penalty, and'll make hunger drop 10% faster (plus all the utility of having two extra arms). Sound good?
