Sensing the Darkspawn the Demon glared around channeling Lighting into her hand ready to be launched at the biggest threat first, She was ready to fight these things and do what must be done to defeat them her lighting magic could take them easily so she just had to not get hit by the melee fighters that the Darkspawn would have hopefully the Wolf, Cousland, The Dwarf, And Duncan Could defeat them before they got to close and she could just sit back and pick them off.

Duncan raises a hand, signaling you to stop channeling your magic. "No...they have an Ogre with them...I do not think it wise that we cross blades with them unless forced to do so."

Palin lets out a grunt, spitting onto the ground as he hefts a crossbow. "Ah come on, I think we can take one of those hulking brutes down. Especially if we can get it to take out some of its friends in the process."

The other two seem to be following Duncan's lead...though if you think it would be best to face this small group now, rather than continue south to engage the Horde there, it is your choice.

"The Darkspawn can sense me...but the rest of you they would not yet detect. As for whether or not they'll attack...that I cannot say. If they are busy fighting someone else right now, we may be of no consequence to them." He says, beginning to walk forward again as he declares "We will avoid them for now, but if they move towards us I will let you all know so we can prepare ourselves."

Humming The Demon Follows Duncan while glancing around her Desire sense feeling out her current traveling companions to see how trustworthy they were "Do you truly believe your king can protect me from the Chantry after all they claim I am maleficar they could say I'm controlling him or that the king is dead and that he is a Demon or something, The Chantry hasn't been known to really care about king or what they want and they have their own multi-national army if it does come to that."

The dwarf seems reliable, or at least in the sense that he'd be easy for you to manipulate...especially so, as he is currently ogling your ass as you walk. The elf is devoted to protecting her clan, so she'll fight the Darkspawn to the death most likely. Seeing as she is Dalish, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to her ratting you out to the chantry. Beyond that though...you know that the Dalish view abominations badly, though you believe it comes down to whether they are a threat to the clan or not.

Tirian is the only one you can't be sure of...but that's more because he is keeping everything close to his chest. His face still shows little emotion, and you note that every so often he glances at the rest of you appraisingly, with Duncan being the only exception.

"I do not believe that you have much to fear. The chantry would not likely try to raise the ire of a King over one mage. King Cailan is rather friendly towards the circle, especially now with the threat of the Darkspawn."

The teryn could object, but unless he could come up with a substantial reason to stop it, I do not see why the King would not appreciate the help of another Mage." Duncan replies simply, his eyes surveying the land around them.

Palin choses that moment to speak up "Never fear mi'lady, if it comes down to it, I'll protect ya. It'd be a shame to see those Templars running a sword through such a pretty girl."

"History is a bit messy on the subject of Andraste...which is why some don't take the Chant of light, or the Chantry, too seriously" Tirian says, speaking for the first time since the brief conversation earlier. He does look your way as he asks "So is it actually true that the Templars do that? I've heard plenty of rumors about the Templars, and even some interesting ones about Circle Mages, but..."

Duncan is the one to speak next. "I do not believe all Templars do it...but like any organization involving men," the way he says it implies he is talking about mankind, not men in general, "There will be those who abuse the power the Maker has given them. Now draw your weapons...the Darkspawn are heading our way. We are fortunate that it seems their numbers have dwindled...but do not underestimate the Ogre."

The Demon nods and Summons lighting back into her hand and When she feels the first of the Darkspawn close in she would shoot Chain lighting at him so it would hit all the Darkspawn around him before using Winter's Grasp on the Ogre.

The ground begins to shake somewhat after a moment, and then you hear a roar as four hurlocks, two of them archers, race up a ramp leading off of the Imperial Highway. But coming up behind them is a huge monster, nearly as tall as a house, with huge horns atop his head. He lets out another roar, and then begins to lumber towards you!

Your spell unfortunately misses, sparking against the stone of the highway where one of the Hurlock had been standing, as the others leap into battle.

Palin fires, but his shot goes wide and you hear him cursing up a storm as he readies another shot. Tirian quickly rushes past the Ogre, barely managing to avoid getting hit by the monsters swinging fist as he throws himself at one of the Hurlocks. He lands a sharp smash against its head with his shield, but its not enough to stun the thing as it rages at him, swinging its sword against his shield.

Shalidya has more luck, landing an arrow in the head of one of the archers, skipping to the right to avoid a shot sent her way by his opposite. Duncan meanwhile has charged the Ogre, leaping at it and plunging his sword and dagger into its chest, twisting them and causing it to roar in rage as it tries to dislodge him.

Your wolf companion sprints for the other archer, launching itself at it and tearing its throat out as it brings it dropping to the ground, spitting out the hunk of flesh and some blood as it growls menacingly at the other sword carrying Hurlock.

Seeing all the Melee fighter she has to use her more accurate spells rather than her Damaging ones, lifting her hand she tried to freeze the one attacking Tirian solid and make it an easy target.

Your spell takes affect this time, freezing the Hurlock as it raised its sword to strike at Tirian. He takes advantage of this and, with a powerful slash, beheads the Hurlock. He turns and gives you a smile and a nod...which suddenly makes your stomach feel a little odd, but then turns his attention to the Ogre, rushing over to aid Duncan.

Palin fires again, this time at the Ogre. The bolt seems to graze him, but its too busy trying to remove Duncan that doesn't seem to notice it. Shalidya also shoots at the Ogre, but misses as it stomps about. Tirian rushes to try and take advantage of its distraction, but a wild swing from the Ogre sends him the ground with a loud oomph.

Duncan meanwhile, seems to be having no trouble with the Ogre, using his daggers to actually climb up the beast, reaching its neck where he plunges them both in and begins grunting as he twists and pulls them about, getting himself covered I darkspawn blood in the process as the Ogre begins to let out a death cry.

Finally, your dog quickly dispatches the last Hurlock, sending it over the edge of the highway, eliciting a sickening thud as it crashes into several pieces of rubble before hitting the ground below.

Seeing that the Orge was already dying The Demon ignored it to Pet the Wolf and call him a good boy and then began the most ancient and time honored tradition looting the bodies for any and all valuables that she could get.

It might not be a bad idea to name the wolf at some point.

The Ogre staggers about, dropping to its knee's as Duncan leaps off, before it crashes down onto the road with a loud thud, blood pooling up beneath it. Duncan retrieves his weapons from the beast as Shalidya helps Tirian up...which again makes you feel funny for some reason, but with you looting the bodies, you brush it off.

The Hurlocks don't have much on them...you find some bandages, a few cooper and a silver, and a healing poultice.

Palin walks up to Duncan, glancing at the Ogre as he says "Didn't you say something about those things being a lot of trouble? You seemed to handle yourself just fine there."

"I have been a warden for many years Palin...I have experience to go along with my abilities." He replies, sheathing his weapons and continuing down the highway, gesturing for the rest of you to follow. "Come along, we must make as much progress as possible before we camp for the evening."

She looked at the others before reaching down to Scratch the Wolf between his ears she wasn't going to name it if anyone was going to it would be Blair, she had that right, "Palin thought Dwarfs were suppose to be the best Darkspawn fighters?" She asked as he was the only one not to do anything that battle.

"No battle is going to go perfect, and though the Darkspawn do not seem to possess any willingness to preserve their own life, they can prove difficult to kill if one is not careful." Duncan says as the five of you continue onward.



An hour passes, and the sun is beginning to set when Duncan pulls the group off the highway and towards a small grove of tree's. "We will rest here tonight. Eat quick and don't spend too much time talking...we will be waking early to continue our journey."

As she enter the Mindscape she was suddenly tackled and hugged by Blair who was smiling "Hey Spirit I heard girl's in town talking about Seamen and how creamy they are what's that mean?" She asked innocently, Spirit? hmmm it seems like Blair was in her 15-16 mindset now.

The Demon glances about the mindscape, trying to determine how fragile Blair's mind was right now. "Semen Blair...it doesn't have an 'a' in it. And its what boy parts produce when they you make them feel really, really good."
