Well, apparently this is our favorite forum, we just needed an excuse to start up our itchy fingers and type type type!

I don't quite recall (I wasn't paying much attention when Thae and Taria were setting RP ground rules), but I don't think there's a hard and fast rule about 30 pages being the thread limit.

Thatman locked the thread himself, and in reducing forum clutter I deleted the old locked thread. I'd recommend to Thatman and to anyone else with this situation that they shouldn't lock the thread, as it creates redundant threads. We haven't had a problem with excessive thread size (just look at MiM:PUT), so just let the thread keep going after 30 pages.

There is a point where the thread goes completely dead for a good number of hours so when people get back on there is usually a good few posts. Also Soru if Bella had a battle theme what would it be?

I don't know, nor do I honestly really care. Not much of a music person so I barely know any music. Also, it's alright for nothing to happen on a thread for a few hours if nothing relevant happens.

I definitely remember that we deleted old "General Discussion" and "Availability thread" posts after a certain cap, but I don't quite remember the OOC locks.

Considering that the vast majority of the posts are text, we don't really have to worry about server memory with these threads. I'm more concerned about forum clutter and the difficulty of finding old posts among the deluge of new posts.

I've made a cursory search of the rules and can't find any mention of OOC thread size limits, but if anyone here does then please send it to me in a PM.

Mostly it was because a bunch of us thought that OOC threads were limited to 30 pages each, and we didn't consult with a moderator or an admin beforehand.

It was actually IC threads I saw get closed. I think a CoC RP and a DnD style one got that.
