Result: No encounter.
The silence you encounter in the city is that of a place empty of living things, in the place of that made by things trying to hide. With you playing vanguard to your less durable companion, you stride through the broken streets and pathways of the Burgh.
You have no idea as to what could have happened here. The houses are boarded up, with strange markings covering the planks, and all the doorways seemed locked and barred. The occasional broken boards of an open house give you pause, but you realize they are simply rotted away instead of forced open. A cursory glimpse inside each house would reveal a barren domicile with nothing left, presumably picked clean by scavenging people fleeing death from the chaos that must have over-taken this place.
You come to a fork in the road. The main road continues straight upwards, looking to lead to a massive, open gate somewhere past a few more obscuring houses. You get the feeling that the bell would be past that gate, but seeing as it is the goal of many travelling undead, Hollows are sure to have gathered there.
You also see a small side path leading to more roof-top adventures, maybe leading to the discovery of treasure, equipment, or maybe even people.
