Hurati listens to Halina, then pipes in once she stops. "It sounds better than where I came from, if you didn't live in the corporate sector then you were stuck in the slums. Tons of apartment buildings and skyscrapers packed together, sometimes joined together for more room. The government didn't care about anywhere other than the private businesses so the streets were filthy, the food was terrible, the water was usually dirty, and every block had their own different types of currency."
Sighing Hurati moves a little, trying to get more comfortable, "Our block used nuts and bolts as currency so whenever i made anything, father would sneak it out of our apartment to sell. Where i came from, you could either live and work in the slums or do well enough to get noticed by a decent university in the private sector. I must have done very well to have gotten the university to approach me, one of the best ones they could offer, with a full ride and everything!"
Pulling out his flask and fiddling with it, he said, "I wonder what i would have done if the captain had told me to beat it..."
