"As you will it, your Majesty." Theyin says, nodding to several men nearby, who raise trumpets and begin to play. You see a path is soon made as a contingent of guards escorts an open topped carriage to the steps, a servant holding the door open for you to enter. You quickly do so, and soon your little procession marches out the palace gates, the crowd cheering as you move into the city that had sprung up around your palace. More citizens of the Kingdom line the streets, and your group links up with those who were already awaiting you as a parade begins to form!
You tour all the streets wide enough for the parade to fit through, and everyone is cheering or singing as you wave at them. Some children run alongside the carriage at times, shouting your name and looking up at you with awe and wonder. A few of the soldiers even pick up a few and carry them around in the parade (causing more than a few parents to get worried and follow along).
All in all, the ride is pleasant and the atmosphere jovial. You wouldn't have been able to say that just but a few moments ago, you were nearly killed.
The parade ends outside the city outskirts, where the preparations for a huge festival in you and your dynasty's honor is being put on. Jousting, performances, and all sorts of games and other fun abounds for all walks and ages to enjoy! After watching a few jousts and a performance or two that you had been scheduled to see (whether you wanted to or not) you are left with some free time to walk amongst your people. Of course, you know that your not exactly alone, as you have noticed that Vevet, your Spymaster, is keeping close tabs on you the entire time.
