It's kind of free form in the respects I didn't clearly define in the character sheet, so for example, Phoenix used a shot of adrenaline from her medikit to wake up someone unconscious. As to reducing the effects of addiction, they haven't created a drug for it just yet, but I was going to provide something like that later to those who do. If someone IS bleeding to death, you could patch them up or if someone breaks a limb. There's not a lot of real damage right now, but some will come later.

Well, they could also always play the role of one of the NPC's that came with us.

Aren't XCOM "guys" supposed to have astronaut-alike armors/suits? Because from this what I know from the game, then they have outfits like that.

are you not mixing that up with UFO? cause X-Com has suits but their not Astronaut like, unless your thinking way way back when X-Com Terror from the deep was around in which case they did as the ufo's and stuff were crash landing in the sea.

They do indeed seem to have rather bulky looking power suits, though I'd compare them more to the Terran Marines from StarCraft than anything.
