Goblin Hunt Part 1:
Go out into the forest and kill four goblins. These little monsters have been harassing farmers and traders alike, and need to be dealt a blow to show them, who is the dominant people around these parts.

Syndicate Shutdown Part 1:
The local gang leader has killed one of the town guards. As such, we are requesting all heroes to help with shutting him down, permanently. To get to him, you need to take out his three lieutenants
Sammy Strong house: He operates the gang loading and shipping business. He is a power house of a man, but slow. He has been seen carrying a sledgehammer around with him as his weapon.
Scarlet: She operates the gangs cat house. It is believed that she murdered the previous owner, and uses drugs to keep the women docile. She carries a dagger, but if she does drug her women, she will most likely use those drugs against any attackers.
Niles Nobody: Niles is an alchemist. While, not actually a part of the syndicate. It is believed that he manufactures the drugs, that Scarlet uses to keep her women docile, as well as the aphrodisiacs used to keep the clients happy.

For the time being, there seem to be only 2 quests available: a simple hunting job, and a manhunt against some Syndicate members. Well, Jim just got into this game, so he's probably not ready for the Syndicate Shutdown on his own. Besides, hunting is more akin to his character's job as a Slayer, so the answer here should be obvious. Ah, making lore for these characters has always been one of his favorite parts of MMO play...

Anyways, time to get a handle on the interface. Checking through his in-game menus, Jim looks for any option that says "Accept Quest," or such. Some games require you to add the quest to a tracker to get credit for it, while others simply have requirements on the board that you go out to fulfill. Once he figures out which method this game uses, Jim checks his wallet, and heads for the marketplace to get a few healing items. Slayer or not, any adventurer worth his salt will make appropriate preparations before venturing outside of town.

"Alright, we need to hunt down this demon and get out of here. Everyone we will each take a section and check it out. I don't want you fighting anything, you are just scouting for these things. Now, if you run into any imps, don't worry. Those things are more bark than bite. Lulu, Arashi, do you two want the second floor, the ground floor, or the lower chambers?"

"We aim to destroy New Haven as a testament to our power. Then we shall move south to the kingdom, taking village after village, city after city. We shall sweep over this land as a flood and destroy all who stand in our way. I come here to ask you creatures for your aid to our endeavor. We will share with you the spoils of war, both treasures and flesh, equally should you join our cause."

"I have never heard of your cult. How do we know you have the strength to do as you say? I think you just want to use our power for your own purposes. If you want the demon horde at your command, you must prove your power and strength. Destroy New Haven first, then we'll talk. Until then, get out of here, Meat."
