Elenwe stares with disbelief at the kobold's smoking remains. Something unnatural just happened, and apparently, kobolds downhill are responsible for this. Her rescue mission may be in vain now. Besides, whatever the source of this phenomena was, she could sense it was something very, very evil and much more powerful then anything she's ever encountered. Kobold she intended to interrogate, panicking beasts on the platform, even her surroundings are lost in the growing dread she's feeling, and she turns to look at Shura, her fear and indecision clearly apparent in her face.

Garian covered his ears when the woman began to screech, forgetting all about the Goblin and was prepared for another fight when she suddenly lifted him into the air by the throat, his sky-blue eyes stared into her deep red, becoming harder to breath. She was speaking a language he didn't understand, a language he hadn't heard before, and before he could say anything, he was suddenly left in shock as she kissed him, that was something he wasn't prepared for and when she pulled away to speak again, this time understanding her, he was already dumbfounded. He looked down at her as she kneeled, asking to be takin to her father, who may or may not be dead. The first thing he did was take off his coat and place it on her, hoping the long coat would cover her body,

"Alright, I'll take you to your father and hopefully get this sorted out, but there is something I need to do first." He said and went to find and pick up the amulet he came here for, maybe even some other treasure the goblin leader was hoarding. He also made himself a mental note to learn her language, for if there comes a time where they get captured before he finds her father, he would like to communicate with her without the captors knowing.

Darius hid his scowl and distaste of having his familiar manipulated. "Why don't you tell me next time you do that, fairy. Besides what makes Vash so dangerous?" As if the universe heard him, a corrupt pillar of crimson light poured from the nearby mountain. He could feel the pure evil emanating from it as the beam itself attracted foul demons to it like light to a moth. "Is this the work of Vash?!" He had imagined that Vash was a ancient owner of knowledge or maybe even another disciple of Myn but not a corrupt being of great power. Then something divine slammed into the corrupt pillar of light and the unholy lightening, shutting them down. He shivered at the magnitude of the powers at play, knowing he could in no way compete with them.

"I'll take that risk, I need to meet Vash as soon as possible. Show me the quickest path and I will take it, fairy." He glanced at Amber, sad that he was getting her involved in things that would probably get them all killed. "Amber, you should probably stay here or go back to the town. Things might get a lot more serious and no one should die because of me." He held out his hand for the fairy to fly into so she could lead him to Vash. He still wasn't sure that Vash had been the one laying down the divine smite.

She will resist the strongest might and have a soul as black as the bowels of Ravage, but fear not for your life, or she shall take it. Darius could only hope that, that line had been about the broodmother and not Vash. "Tell me more about her. Is she an ancient deity or something? Only a god or a demon could possess that much power."

Shura didn't quite know what to make of the display, and had been in total awe of whatever the heck it was that he had just witnessed. Clearly this wasn't an everyday occurrence in these foreign lands. Something must have happened, something big. What relation it had to do with them however, he was unsure of. All he knew was that they were probably closer than most. The death cries of kobolds filled the air as a downpour of lightning fell from the sky. Hopefully Garian was okay...

Sidra grunted as she wrapped her arm and tied it tightly.
"Still needs to be straightened if you want to be able to use that leg later in life."
She looked around for a stick to straighten out her leg with before bandaging it as a splint.

Blake
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You don't find any sort of deadly intent coming from these butterflies. They seem to be pretty death-free and harmless. Your familiar still doesn't like them though.

A pink one lands on your head with a small poof of dust, causing you to sneeze.

Elenwe/Shura
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The two of you feel almost stunned from what just happened. Smoke continues to billow up from where the Kobold camp had probably been just minutes before.

The lone kobold looks at the billowing smoke, falling onto his knees and letting out what can only be described as cries, though no tears shed from his reptilian eyes. The mounts have calmed down by this point and you think you could ride one over to investigate.

Garian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Search- 12

Fortunately the long coat covers her, though as she stands up it falls off as she quirks a brow.

"Asihea dahsa ar basulran si'ines?" (A magical item to ward off foes?) You get the impression that she doesn't understand clothing or indecent exposure.

You find the amulet in the corner of the room easily enough. What you can only describe as a demon's eye rests at the center of the amulet. One side is covered by an ancient dragon scale while the other gives it full view of its surroundings. It seems to be enchanted, but you don't know how or with what. The goblin chieftan didn't seem to have much of value aside from his shortsword, which the woman with you looks over before speaking.

"Vomo'kaanTalaeha. A jela nie ar solsehan ji si'moru'a ea, go ohk ubesi ersae e'an tloke." (Goblin'sbane, A sword made to kill the wretched things, not be used among their own.)

"Cart vah tsaco ch'at ch'tra non, ch'irci?" (Are you ready to go now, -unintelligible-?) Huh. You didn't recognize that word strangely enough. You almost swear she's switching between two varying dialects, one containing more vowels and the other containing very sharp ch's and c's that give distinct differences.

She doesn't even leave you much time to think as she's already heading towards the exit. Why is she being so impatient, anyways?

Amber/Darius
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Is this the work of Vash?!"

"I think that's her mother causing problems, but it could be... I'm not completely sure."

What's that even supposed to mean? She's getting her sources from Myn, isn't she? Why the hell doesn't she know???

"I'll take that risk, I need to meet Vash as soon as possible. Show me the quickest path and I will take it, fairy."

If you say so... That corruption hasn't faded completely. I'll try to help navigate closer to it through your Raven's eyes, butt it might take a moment."

"Tell me more about her. Is she an ancient deity or something? Only a god or a demon could possess that much power."

"Or an ancient dragon." She chimes in nonchalantly before sighing. "To tell the truth... We don't know. I'll... Go check. Wait here."

Your dark fairy disappears with a small poof of red smoke, only to reappear several minutes later.

"Alright... I spoke with Myn... And She told me what she knew about it... And she told me what the others know about it... And we don't know."

What? How do DIVINE BEINGS not even know what Vash is!?

"Well, Loranna is sometimes really vague with those prophecies and doesn't give us the whole details of what's going on. The general consensus is that Vash is indirectly Rastan's Great Grand Daughter because that beam was a certain kind of devilish nature, but Rastan won't tell anyone anything because he's too busy with his campaigns and doesn't like us. And we obviously can't waltz up to Irilin or The Unnamed One and ask them... You can guess how that would go. Radamis thinks that she's the Devil King and Ravage's daughter, but Cara says that's impossible because devils don't breed with each other due to the very strict power structure, and how Ravage would rip apart the Devil King if he had ever tried. Meanwhile Myrdur is spouting some nonesense about a holy war and breaking Loranna's rules to blast this island to smithereens. No one wants to ask Serenith what she thinks because she'll go and tell one of her priestesses, who will inform Crux, and then this situation will be seriously out of hand. None of them can really spy though other than Crux because of that antifield devils possess that sort of nullifies divine sight beyond very limited ranges... Look, Deitic politics are really heated when they do happen, and they kind of only happen when something major happens. Last time around it kind of resulted in a cataclysm? Whatever Vash is, she's not human, but she's not really a devil either. Myn... 'Thinks' she's... Both? Did I get that right? No, not really? Well, that's probably what'll make the most sense to them, M'lady. Alright. Yeah, she thinks she's a bit of both and was contacting Ravage herself... Probably..."

Oh lovely. Not even the divines have a solid answer to give. None that will make a lot of sense anyways... At least that description informs you that even they're taking it seriously from the sounds of it, and this "Vash" fellow is probably bad business. Why the hell do they want you to meet her then!? Still, as per your instructions the Dark Fairy begins leading you towards Vash.

Sidra
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Using a nearby stick as a splint, you put the goblin girl's leg into place, helping hoist her up.

"Camp close by." She points to the East into the forests across the road.

Frowning Blake chased the butterflies away from her son "Hey leave him alone!" still looking highly confused she took her cloak off and made sure there were no butterflies on it she wrapped her son up to hide him from the butterflies then looking at the pink one that managed to stay on her she tried to use her connection to Irilin to talk to it sense it seems like one of her creatures "Hello little one what do you and the others want?" She asked still confused and hoped her connection to Irilin was strong enough to hear words from the little thing
"I mean, that thing about not looking a gift horse in the mouth? Well, how the fuck else are you supposed to figure out if it’s full of Greeks?”

Marjory smiles she wanted to share the news of it with the bar-lgura. "Hey! Do you mind if my reward is to gain permanent access to your home cave?" She shouts loudly. "I found these interesting tablets that create portals... I want to use them to explore!"

She returns and looks at the tablets. She then looks at the urn and shouts out. "Might want to make some way demon! I'm coming to with the urn! Unless you want to be smited!" She says giggling a bit carrying the urn near the entrance of the cave. "So do I get a deal for having permanent access to your new home?" She asks just at the edge of the holy barrier created by the urn. She sticks her hand out to shake on the deal

Kylie looks at Lean, looks at the beam of light for its duration, then looks back at Lean, contemplating her situation. Her jaw dropped momentarily at the stunning display of power, but she returned to normal quickly. "Hm. Right. Welllll, maybe we should go check that out? It might have something to do with your connection to Cara, since it feels so damned... Corrupt... And, frankly, I'm just looking for something to do. Come on! It'll be fun!" Smiling at her new friend, Kylie starts walking North (?) towards the source of the energy.

Damn, she was heavier than she expected, not that she commented on it or anything.

Garian saw her starting to leave and groaned, "Hey, come back!" He yelled and pocketed the amulet before grabbing his coat again and started after her, "You can't go out there in the nude, no matter how powerful you think you are, there is always someone out there stronger." He said and then place the coat over her again, making sure to get her hands into the sleeves and then buttoned it a bit to hide the fact she was naked underneath, "There we go." He said and smiled down at her, "Now do you know where your father may be?" He asked her.

Darius stopped walking and rubbed his forehead as he tried to break down the situation. "So NO ONE knows who Vash is and the best guess is either a powerful dragon or a half-devil creature? Excuse me if I sound a bit sacrilegious but the gods, who created everything and should know everything, don't?! What the hell do you guys do up there all day? I thought you were watching the world or something! Also while I'm talking about shit that doesn't make sense how can I forget that tidbit about Myrdur trying to annihilate the island or the fact that Vash is attempting to contact the Ravage, which last time I checked was evil!"

The gods were sending him blind against something that riled even them up. He considered trying to contact Irilin but she had no reason to help him or even give him the time of day. He felt angry and a bit betrayed that Myn had used his plea for penance to send him directly against some god-defying creature. No doubt he'd probably die making this discovery but at least he'd die having met Myn. A small consolidation but it was enough to keep Darius going. "Fairy. Make sure that the gods know that they owe me for this, especially Myn. I might have asked for penance but fighting prophetic unknown enemies is a god's job not a mortals."

His mind felt overwhelmed by everything that was happening and was going to. Here he was basically communicating with gods on a mission given by a god to approach something with the power of a devil. This would be one hell of a story if he made it out of here. If he didn't maybe he'd be granted godhood although he wasn't sure if dead people could become gods. Who knew the rules anyways? if Myrdur and Crux could do it then so could he!

Darius couldn't make anything out in the cloud of corruption but he drew his kruki nevertheless, prepared to fight for his life and the will of Myn. "Vash! I am Darius Viggo, Archmage of Romundia and champion of Myn and the Church of Five! I would like a word with you!" He forced a grin on his face as he confronted a thing that not even the gods had known about. "One hell of a story." He muttered.

Well, she wasn't struck by lightning and it looks like gods themselves decided to do something about whatever happened down there. Kobolds won't be a problem anymore and the lightshow ended... Elenwe is usually careful, even paranoid, when dealing with unknown, back home she's seen what reclessness can lead to. But the human she's looking for is...or was...somewhere down there, and even though she doesn't know his name and he's propably dead after all that happened, but his disappearance is still her fault and she feels responsible for either finding and saving him, or confirming there's nothing she can do for him outside burying his remains.

Elenwe looks at Shura "Going down there is now either safer or much more dangerous then before. I need to look for him, you don't have to follow." Without any further words, she turns back to him and walks the path downhill, still watchful for dangers from slippery slope she's walking on. She's prepared for any possibilities, survivors to talk to about what happened, bodies to bury, or demons or any monsters created or summoned by that light to kill or run from.

Ing grimaces in disgust, yanking her sword from the corpse as quickly as she can to avoid the acid damaging the blade. Good steel was expensive, and until she had a backup weapon she'd need this one to be in good condition. Ing smirks at her good fortune as she plucks the keys from the conveniently self-clearing corpse, rubbing the slime off of it with her leather vambraces, hoping that the keys will still work. She'd really gotten lucky this time with the information, smooth entrance, and chance to get a tiny bit of the vengeance she was owed.

Ignoring the still bound zombies for the moment Ingvildr continues her reconnaissance from where the demon had interrupted. Fairly tame, as far as evil dungeons went. Cages in the first room.. it was doubtful that whatever was a captive here had any humanity left, assuming it'd been human in the first place. Ing makes a note of the door and checks to make sure it's locked as she moves on. No need to risk something sneaking up on her. Next was a kitchen. Nothing suspicious, and she supposed even evildoers needed to eat. Well, most of them anyway. Next. Bedchambers. Hrm. Likely to be a few interesting keepsakes in there at the least, but looting can wait until the area is secured.

And then comes the room full of treasure.

...

She'd come back to this one, maybe shove a zombie in to check for traps.

Oh. Well. This was probably the Devil King's concubine, the one the steward had mentioned. Beautiful, certainly, but the devil king wouldn't need a ritual circle to hold a normal human, and most of the envy-inviting firmness probably would've sagged in the last fifty years. But whatever she was, the thing she shared a room with was what Ing had come here for. It certainly fit the criteria; It was magical, corrupt, and practically made her skin crawl. Knowing that crossing over a ritual circle that a fiend was bound in is generally a terrible idea, Ing calls on the less divine of her two spells; Radamis' Knowledge, focused on the sleeping demoness. Ing inhales and then coughs loudly into her hand before opening the door, careful to remain outside of whatever circle was in pace. If the prisoner was still asleep, Ing raps the flat of her blade against the doorframe.

"Hey. Wake up. We've got some things to talk about, and you probably haven't had a good conversation in the last thirty years."

((GM Note: Night will approach in ~three posts unless you've already had time accelerated like Blake.))

Blake
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

GM Roll; Butterfly Pheromones (d100)- 5

The butterfly stares at you, its antenna twitching slightly. Unfortunately, this non-intelligent being seems to be lacking in the communication department as it lets out another small gust of sparkly pink residue on you before fluttering off to do its own thing.

You can't help but notice the number of butterflies in the area are increasing. Whereas before there was only about one or two per tent, there's not about four for every tent of adventurers. The air is becoming saturated with sparkly multicolored dust, and your familiar is acting kind of funny.

A shriek catches your ears as you watch a woman burst from her tent, smacking a yellow butterfly off her thigh and proceeding to smash it with a frying pan. Which... Only leads to even more people waking up and freaking out.

Marjory
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The Bar-Lgura stares at your hand for a long moment before shaking it gently with a small grunt.

You can't help but feel something's not entirely right with him accepting your offer that easily, but then again, these sort of demons keep their word so long as they aren't in life-or-death situations.

Kylie
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

GM Roll; Daytime Forest Encounter; 15

"Sounds like a plan!"

The two of you set forth towards the source of the corruption. It looks like it's going to be a bit of a hike to get there as you cross North East towards its source. It's looking like it might be a bit before you arrive.

"So what convinced you to come here?" Lean asks nonchalantly, seeming to grow a bit bored of the silence around you.

Sidra
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It's amazing that someone this small can be this heavy!

Still, the road isn't long, and the mix of her directions and the path you've set up keep you out of sight from any beasts that may be lurking the lands. Eventually you come to a cave of sorts. The entrance is a bit tight, but the two of you squeeze through easily enough.

Inside, a few dozen beady eyes stare at you from the glow of a small fire. You half expect them to attack before they notice the female goblin next to you, and rush her (and yourself) over to what you can only describe as the tribal shaman. An extremely short goblin no taller than your knee, who seems to be mixing a number of herbs with a mortar and pestel, a wooden staff wrapped around their armpit that's at least three times their height.

Meanwhile, another goblin that, judging by the metallic armor is likely the chieftan, approaches you with a grimace, his red eyes glistening in the fire light.

"Am surprised to see elf-kin assisting own... Rare sight. Rare indeed. For that, am grateful. All is. With monsters and man about, every kin must work, and many not return from expeditions..."

This "head goblin" bows as various little green runts run about applying salves and healing supplies to your newly-acquired friend, one of them even applying some sort of green goop to your arm that makes the pain from it almost vanish.

"For this are thankful. Would have you as guest, and present this."

He holds out a small token. It looks like a wooden toad, and it appears to be expertly crafted. A small string wraps through its head creating a necklace.

You have gained the following passive ability- Goblin Affiliate: Most Goblins will no longer attack you on sight during the daytime, and will sometimes come to your aid. This does not affect dark goblins.

Garian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

She cocks her head slightly as you button up the coat.

Nie dan fic a anasan toe ceu dahsa? (Do you have ... garbs?)

She blinks once or twice before giggling, giving you a light kiss on the forehead.

Clo gu, Do mtan tolsan ceu toe guo ko cea ohk qa dan babee. (Very well, I shall wear these for now if that is what you wish.)

"Now do you know where your father may be?"

She blinks once or twice, seeming to think this is an odd question before shaking her head.

Tisla ohk yei favna ohtaksan tenii ish ohk go...? (Father is always home except when he isn't...?)

She motions for you to follow as she begins leaving the ruin. You watch a section of wall begin to crumble behind you, and figure following her out might be a good idea. The path is relatively short as you come to the entrance from the side you had seen the goblins. Great, it looks like you'll have to go ar-

Oh shit! You watch as she unwittingly walks into the crusher trap and it lifts up towards the ceiling with her on it. Welp, she's a goner...

Or not.

You watch as the stone begins to slowly grind back into position, your newly-acquired travel buddy proceeding to stomp on it as blasts of magical energy turn the once-magnificent crusher-trap into dust. She looks mildly pissed too, but doesn't say anything as she walks across it wordlessly, motioning for you to follow. The smell of ozone and burning kobold flesh greets your nose as you approach the exit...

Amber and Darius
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Your fey companion simply shrugs as if this were normal...

"Fairy. Make sure that the gods know that they owe me for this, especially Myn. I might have asked for penance but fighting prophetic unknown enemies is a god's job not a mortals."

"Actually they hire mortals to do this work quite often. Most of the time you folks call them... Heros? They've usually got a contract with one deity or another and just don't admit it. Same with those things you call Bandit Kings that Crux likes so much."

Hmm, that does explain the luck that the folks of fairytales tend to have when you think about it.

Unfortunately, your hike through the mountains is taking longer than expected as you finally arrive at your destination. The ground is scorched with unholy runes, and down below you can see a decimated camp.

"That's her down there. She seems to be stable right now."

Down below the two of you can see a woman wearing nothing but a long coat exit some sort of cave, another fellow following behind her. It's a pretty sheer drop to get to them, you might want to look for a way around.

Elenwe (and possibly Shura)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You scramble down the hillside. Without the assistance of one of the creatures, you almost lose your balance on more than one occasion. Eventually though, you peer around the corner to see the decimated ruins of a Kobold camp. Everyone seems to be dead from the looks of it... From the cave, a woman with black hair and pale skin begins to exit, a longcoat covering her form. More specifically, the long coat of your former travelling companion!

Ingvildr
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

GM Roll; Will- 17 + 2

The dungeon door is locked securely. More notably, this concubine's room has three different locks on it. Lovely.

Sure enough, your guess seems to be accurate as you cast your spell. An Erinyes from the looks of it. That thing... Would not be pleasant to fight, but then again if it's been locked down here for as long as it has, then it's inevitably grown a bit weaker from lack of sustenance. Perhaps that's why she's sleeping so calmly?

"Hey. Wake up. We've got some things to talk about, and you probably haven't had a good conversation in the last thirty years."

A cat-like eye shoots open as it peers about the room, resting on you before a wide grin begins forming on the woman's face and the eye recedes to a more humanoid appearance. She slowly begins to unfurl herself from her position, standing up as she looks towards you. You don't sense any ill intent, but then again the spell tends to get wonky with these more powerful demons, and can only track so far into the future.

"My... I haven't had a visitor in some time... Welcome to my abode. Come now, will you take a seat with me?"

She pats the bed invitingly. It sounds nice as you take a step forward almost unconsciously before your mind snaps back to reality and realizes what you were about to do. Crafty little thing... You can't help but notice her eyes dart to the orb before darting back to you rather quickly.

Dajal
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You find yourself sitting against the outside of a human city wall as the feeling of vertigo slowly begins to fade. That was... Not the most pleasant spell. In the distance, a small farmhouse can be seen through the tall grass growing. This is definitely not home...

Judging by the position of the sun, you appear to be facing west as you get your bearings. Mountains to the south and forests to the north, you think you spot a small auxillary entrance into the city a little ways down from your position. There's also...

What is THAT!? Turning your vision beyond the wall, you see a red beam coming down from the sky only to be shattered by some divine force. You didn't cause that... Right?

Sidra had to sit cross legged in the cave in order to prevent herself from bashing her own skull in by accident.
As the goblins tended to their injured own, one who seemed to be the chieftain of this group presented her with a small token, probably one of good faith.
Graciously, she took the necklace it was bound to and wore it around her neck. Due to the length of the necklace, combined with the minute size of the token, it quickly sank into the valley of her boobs.
And speaking of expeditions... Sidra leaned forward as she asked the chief of tithe goblins, "I'm looking for a group of missing archeologists that went on an exploration in this general area. Have you or your kin heard anything as of late?"

OOC: Can I have my wereboar heads, even if I hadn't explicitly stated that Sidra would have collected the heads?

Right?

Dajal looked around, watching the world spin for a moment with a silly smile on her face before the headache kicked in. Of the times that she had used teleportation (which she could count on both hands, give or take a finger) that was certainly not the most fun and exciting example. Now that things weren't blurry and whirring around, she took in her environment, wondering where exactly she was.

Well, duh, somewhere more interesting than your village of course. She thought to herself, before she was suddenly caught off guard by the explosion of red light going up into the heavens...only to be struck down by some godly power.

That...was AWESOME!! Dajal briefly wondered if she had been responsible for that, but she shook off the notion. She hadn't been around wherever this was long enough, and more to the point, none of the times her spells had gone wrong had ever pulled something like THAT off. She was good, but not that good.

Making sure all of her was present, she decided to check out the city, wanting to know where here was. She stopped just briefly before entering, trying to summon up her little spirit friend, assuming he'd come along that is.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Since I couldn't think of a Sprite/familiar thing, I'll leave that up to you :D

Marjory leaves the urn at the edge of the forest right below the cave. It is cradled underneath a tree with large branches so it could not get wet. She returns and stares at the cave. "So... welcome home demon!" she says smiling walking into the cave in a skipping fashion. She takes a moment to sit down and meditate inside the cave entrance. Hopefully the Bar-Lgura would not bother her right now.

(What happens when you're corruption reaches maximum?)

Garian smiled at her and shook his head, "Unfortunately, I don't have any extra garbs on me, maybe once we get to town we'll find something for ye to wear." He told her and gasped when he saw the crusher come down but then saw her break it with her magic. He just shook out of it and followed her to the entrance, the smell of burnt flesh was the first thing to greet him as he put his arm over his mouth and nose and looked out to see what it all was.
