Well at least the game designers had a sense of humor about them and having no map interfere at the start made sense for immersions sake and he wagered he'd have to look at it like a traditional map. His abilities, few as they are were at least versatile. Nothing that was outside the realm of the norm for what the class outlined at least. Checking himself over he looked quite well and his avatar looked decent. Enough to get the attention of the barmaid behind the counter when he entered the tavern. "Pleasure to be graced by you, I am Arashi. What is your name miss?" He had to wonder if this AI was smart enough to know when he is talking to him or if there were certain keywords that would pertain to the woman. "So whats the word around New Haven?" He noted the quest givers and he would be sure to talk to them first but he might get something else hidden from the bar maiden by asking her first.

Kal moved over to one of the guards and rested against the wall, as she was watching the flirting woman distract the mark for her friends theft job. It was a good move but Kal needed some money and she wondered if she could get a reward from this, "Hey, that market stall over there, the one with the shop keeper being flirted with? should that lady there be sneaking round the back of the stall like that?" It was a passive comment but Kal was pointing out the rather blatant crime to what she assumed was an NPC guard, she could directly involve herself if she felt the need to but at the moment this was more of a random event and Kal had no idea if there would be a reward for what she was doing. She carried on watching the scene keeping an eye on the woman who was actually doing the stealing, if they slipped away she was planning on following them.

"Sweet!" Playing a female character turned out to be a different experience then what Dave expected, but at least Daeva's hot. He should've read the manual first, but hey, he can always roll a different character later, if it turns out to be too weird. And maybe some suckers will help him later, if he keeps pretending he's a girl in the real life. "No gold or weapon, though." Well, spells should be enough for the moment. So, that's basic controls, now to check what can be done with it.

Daeva turns away from town, no need for hitting any NPC by accident and being murdered by guards for starting a fight in town. She then tries to use sparkle fingers spell few times to be sure there won't be any mistakes when using it in combat later. When Dave's confident enough he's got it, Daeva looks towards the town once more, then turns her back to it and starts walking randomly into the forest, looking for some enemies to test her magic on.
If it takes me two weeks or more to respond to a RP without prior notice, send me a PM. It's more likely I've missed the last post, forgot or got distracted and need a little reminder rather than deciding to drop the game without warning.

Haku smalls the air and compares the smell to dive bars shes been to. decided that she better get a quest as a wayto learn this game. She first removed the straps of her backpack from her shoulders slinging the bag to the ground. She opens it looks inside the Likely empty bag. Then she closes it up as fast as she opened.

she takes a quick glance at the player making a mental note to bug him later. She walks up to the the party of 3, grabs a chair, spins it around so the back is facing the table, and follows the action by sitting backwards on it so she's facing the gentlemen.
She tilts her head a bit and smiles.

Maximus holds his shield out in front of him, his axe in his right hand. This position looked very defensive, but it was used to bait people into a shield slam. Knowing that his opponent is the same class as him, he decides to show her the basics.

"Well then, don't expect me to go easy on you. You look more agile than me, but ill show you how I can overcome that."

Like he said, Maximus was holding his action until she moved. He watched her carefully, intending to use his shield to both block and counter attack.
Sometimes I think i'm crazy, but then my other voice says i'm alright.

I'm not sure if i'm just too creative, or just cant focus on one thing.

Wulf
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Wulf dashes at her two wolf opponents, and slashes at them with her blades. Her slashes leave deep gashes down the sides of both of her attackers. The wolves both let out a yelp, as she passes them by. Her canine senses can pick up the scent of blood from the wolves, as she moves back. However, as she comes close to a tree to climb up, she feel something on her foot. As she reached up to grab a branch, one of the wolves grabbed her boot, and the little runt was not letting go.
You roll an: 18
Wolf rolls a: 16
Wolf rolls a: 17

Ruby
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Ruby does nothing about the pickpocket, and makes her way down to the tavern. The tavern itself is a large two story wooden building. Once she stepped inside she found it to be primarily empty. There was a blonde woman behind the counter in what looked like a German barmaid outfit. She waved her a simple greeting, which made her excessively large breasts jiggle a bit as she called over to her.
"Howdy there, Welcome to the Golden Chalice!"
The woman said to her, as she continued cleaning a small pile of beer mugs. Ruby also saw in the bar, three human men sitting at a table, gambling. She noticed a star above them, marking them as quest givers. She also saw a nervous looking fox man sitting in a booth, drinking away. He was also marked as a quest giver. Then Ruby saw, over by the back wall, an extremely large board, that could only be the quest board. She also saw a human man looking over at the quest board. He was in some raggedy looking heavy armor, and obviously a player. She then saw a Kitsune sorcerer woman, walk over to the table with the three men, and begin to speak with them.

Maximus and Karina
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As the two make their way out of town to fight, one of the guards stops them. He holds up his hands, and then his eyes begin to glow a deep, ominous red. They can then hear a voice coming from the guards open mouth.
"Hello, hello? Can you two hear me? Good, alright you two can have your little PvP fight, but they are required to be outside of town. Go to the eastern gate of town, and head outside of it. There will be a large circle drawn into the ground with white chalk. That is your PvP arena for right now, until we get the fighters guild finished. Once you two are ready to fight, just go ahead like you were going to fight, and the game will take care of the rest. Have fun, and the loser will re-spawn in the center of town, by the water fountain."
The voice sounded like it was coming from a microphone, and after it was over, the guard walked back to his post, as if nothing happened. Maximus was a full head and shoulders above Karina. He could see the top of her head, and could see clearly enough to count the hairs on her head.
(Karina doesn't have a helmet yet.)

Natalie
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Natalie made her way to the tavern, without incident. She was able to take in the sights, smells, and sounds, of this big city, though fox eyes. She is then able to arrive at the tavern.
Natalie also saw in the bar, three human men sitting at a table, gambling. Then Natalie saw, over by the back wall, an extremely large board, that could only be the quest board. She also saw a human man looking over at the quest board. He was in some raggedy looking heavy armor, and obviously a player. She then saw a Kitsune sorcerer woman, walk over to the table with the three men, and begin to speak with them. Natalie also noticed a human woman in what looked like rogue armor standing in the tavern, looking around.

Lulu
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Lulu can see that she is wearing an iron chest plate that does not protect her arms she can also see that her pants are reinforced with iron, but that is all the armor she has so far. She has a large iron claymore on her back, just under her backpack. Her backpack has the word "Inventory" embroidered on it, but is completely empty, with the exception of a pack of "Rogers home made Spider webs". Lulu then made her way to the tavern, passing by a bustling market place. The tavern itself is a large two story wooden building. Once she stepped inside she found it to be primarily empty. There was a blonde woman behind the counter in what looked like a German barmaid outfit. She waved her a simple greeting, which made her excessively large breasts jiggle a bit as she called over to her.

He was in some raggedy looking heavy armor, and obviously a player. She then saw a Kitsune sorcerer woman, walk over to the table with the three men, and begin to speak with them. She also saw a woman in some roguish leather armor, as well as a fox woman, dressed as a mage.

Arashi
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Arashi walked over to the bar maid, she continued working, cleaning her mugs.
"Hello handsome, my name is Madeline, Sir. Can I get you anything?
She said, as she continued to clean out the mugs. Once he asked about the word around town, she smiled a bit, as she continued cleaning. Arashi couldn't help but notice how her excessively large breasts, jiggled back and forth from her work.
"Well, the word around town, is that the construction of our stone wall, is moving a bit behind schedule. Apparently some bandits moved into the stone quarry and are causing trouble for the workers."
She said, as she continued about her business, setting one mug down, and picking up another one.

Kal
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Kal pointed out what the women were doing, the guard moved in. He walked right up to the thieving woman and grabbed her wrist. She was too focused on the merchant to notice the guard. He then frowned at her.
"You are under arrest for stealing, woman."
The woman got a frightened look on her face, as her companion rushed over.
"What? We didn't do anything, Sir."
The guard then reached into the womans dress, right in front of everyone and pulled out the coin purse.
"Well, if you didn't steal anything, then how did this move from the stall to her womanhood?"
At this point, the woman who was not apprehended, bolted away to get away, but another guard caught her. The purse was returned to the merchant, who then handed a few coins to the guard. As the guards passed Kal by with the two thieves, they handed her the coins for spotting the criminals.
"Here you go, Miss. Thank you for your help."
Kal has now acquired ten gold coins.

Davea
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Davea gets the hang of things, she made her way out to the forest. As she wandered about the forest for a bit, searching for enemies, suddenly was lifted into the air by her foot. She was caught in a snare trap, that had her about a foot in the air. As she looked around, she spotted a small little gran humanoid coming out from behind a few bushes. This little creature was apparently a goblin. And judging by the knife he had pulled from his belt, his intentions were less than friendly.
You roll a 6
Goblin rolls a: 14
End Result, you are caught in snare trap, and unable to move from location, until trap is destroyed. You can still cast your spells, though.

Haku:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Haku sits down and smiles at the men, one of them, dressed in rather ostentatious clothing looks over to her. He had dark hair and brown eyes, and lightly tanned skin.
"Well hello there miss. Can we help you?"
He says with a small smile on his face. At this point Haku is able to notice that the men all look rather tired, and a bit worn. The other two were both of the same skin tone, but one had blonde hair and green eyes, whilst the other had dark red hair, with brown eyes.

Quest Board quests
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Goblin Hunt Part 1:
Go out into the forest and kill four goblins. These little monsters have been harassing farmers and traders alike, and need to be dealt a blow to show them, who is the dominant people around these parts.

Syndicate Shutdown Part 1:
The local gang leader has killed one of the town guards. As such, we are requesting all heroes to help with shutting him down, permanently. To get to him, you need to take out his three lieutenants
Sammy Strong house: He operates the gang loading and shipping business. He is a power house of a man, but slow. He has been seen carrying a sledgehammer around with him as his weapon.
Scarlet: She operates the gangs cat house. It is believed that she murdered the previous owner, and uses drugs to keep the women docile. She carries a dagger, but if she does drug her women, she will most likely use those drugs against any attackers.
Niles Nobody: Niles is an alchemist. While, not actually a part of the syndicate. It is believed that he manufactures the drugs, that Scarlet uses to keep her women docile, as well as the aphrodisiacs used to keep the clients happy.

Farm Disappearances:
A local farm owner has reported that several of his cattle have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. They do not appear to have been eaten, just stolen. The fox man has been seen frequenting the tavern.

Wulf snarled at the runt and slashed at it until it let go then she put her back to the tree so the other wolf couldn't sneak up on her. "You guys are so uncute!" She growled out angrily. If the wolf attacks she tries to counter it.

Well, it looks like she's kinda late to the party since so many PCs are already gathered in here. That's a good thing though. If she feels she needs a party for any of these quests, she doesn't have to go far in search of candidates. Speaking of quests, she should get started on those. Tearing her view away from the big-breasted barmaid who she had been staring at while she thought, she moves to the quest board with the heavy armor man. Looking over her choices, she thinks for a bit.

She gets the feeling going after Scarlet alone would be terrible for a Berserker, the woman likely able to attack and drug her before she gets to do much. She's here to blown off some steam, not get pissed cause she was taken down in a poison-fueled haze! Sammy might be fun, the fight devolving into a knock-down drag-out brawl as the two of them try to get the other to go down first and she's not sure what to think about Niles. Still, the Syndicate plotline seems more interesting than killing Goblins or looking into missing farm animals, so she decides she's going to pick it up. Looking at the man beside her, she asks, "So which one are you thinking of?" She asks.

Reaching the tavern, first thing first Ruby looks at the building, and then enters. It's quite empty, but she doesn't mind. A woman give her welcomes, but she just makes a greeting gesture with her head and proceeds to observe the situation. There is a big board, apparently a quest board, and then a man with fox features drinking and... something that catches her attention. Peoples gambling. A little smile appears on her face, but she resist the temptation to just approach them and ask if she can play too. She came here to "escape" at least for a while her betting addiction, and even if she goes there, she has no money with which she can play. From a star above the head of both the gambling men and the drunkard she can guess that they are quest givers, so even if she doesn't have money, there could be some sort of event, but at least for now she heads for the quest board.

Three quests are on there, but only two of them interests her: the syndicate shutdown and the farm disappearances. The goblin hunt seems to be easier, as she just has to kill four mobs, but for some random reason isn't quite as eye-catching as the other two. Why? For the syndicate it could be plausible, but how can the farm disappearances sound better than goblin hunt? Simple. The description. It says that a fox man has been seen at the tavern, and a fox man is currently here. From the sound of it he could be a suspect for the thievery, so she doesn't have to travel around to find him... if he really is the fox man mentioned.

Anyway, first she accept the Farm Disappearances quest, and then the Syndicate Shutdown if it's possible to take more than one quest at time from the board. First she'll resolve the Farm quest, and in the meantime she'll grab some information about the syndicate.
Once she's taken the quests, she'll approach the fox.

She feels quite awkward about this. For most of her life she avoided most social interaction, and now she finds herself approaching an unknown man... well, fox man. Maybe her parents weren't just trying to annoy her every time they tried to make her become more social, and now she can understand why they were so happy when she said that she'll start playing a VR Game. It was true, even if this was a game and the man could be very well just a npc, not even a real human, it feels just like reality.
The awkwardness remains almost until she arrives at his table, but then she makes up her mind and returns calm. She sits at the same table of the drinking fox man, and then she talks <Hello> just a greeting.

She thought about how she can do this, and two options came to her mind: try to be friendly or appear as a traveler just arrived in town. If she tried the first, she might appear as if she wants to hit on him, so she decided to go with the second option <Sorry to disturb you. I just arrived in this town and wanted to know a bit about it> she points the board <There aren't any useful information there, and if i ask the barmaid she might answer only if i buy something to eat and drink or if i stay the night...> she tries to explain her reason for approaching him, and hopefully the fox won't over think about them in his drunkenness <Would you tell me about this town and... why are you drinking when the sun is still up?> Well, she doesn't know if in the game it morning, afternoon or approaching dusk, so if it's the last option it might seem strange for her to ask why he is drinking at this hour.

Other players in the tavern are ignored.

Kal watched the guards lead the thieves she'd acquired ten gold already that made things easier she now had some money to spend, Okay basic supplies first then look at what there is available to do. Kal made her way over to the market stall with a smile, "Good Afternoon sir could you tell me what you've got for sale?"
She still wasn't sure how the combat system worked in the game and she wanted to know if she was going to need to buy her ammunition for her Bow. Not that it really matters from what she could see out of all the players in the starting area it seems she was the only one to select this particular class.

Wulf:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Wulf attempts to slash at the wolf that has a hold on her ankle. However, her swing missed its intended target, and the wolf merely pulled her off of the tree by her ankle. She felt a little pain as she hit the ground, but more importantly, she saw her health bar in the bottom of her vision drop from 10 to 7. As she rolled around to face her attacker, she then saw the second wolf running straight toward her, with its teeth bared.
You roll a: 6
Wolf rolls a: 14
End result, you are pulled off of the tree. 2 damage from wolf attack, 1 damage from small fall. You narrowly avoid hitting your head on the tree roots.

Ruby
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The fox man gives Ruby a questioning look at how she is speaking to him. However, once she asks why he is drinking, he kinda blurts out,
"Because my farm has been cursed. Every night more of my cattle disappear. It's not like they are being eaten, there is never a carcass or blood. They just up and disappear. I would think it was thieves, but right before my cattle disappear, I hear this chilling, monstrous howling. No mortal creature could make a sound like that. It must be a demon. A demon is dragging my cattle to hell!"
He practically shouts out, as he nervously grabs his mead glass. The shaking of his hands indicating how nervous he really is.

Kal
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Once Kal made her way to a market stall, and tall human male gave her a greeting.
"Hello there. What I have at my stall is small everyday things."

Store Inventory:
Rope: 2 coins
Small Health potion: restores 5 health, 10 coins
paper: 1 coin
Quill and ink: 2 coins
Head Bonnet: blue bonnet, 3 coins
Lightly tanned boots: No armor, but stylish, 5 coins
Fish: cooked Food, 2 coins
Rabbit legs: Two cooked rabbit legs, 3 coins.

Ruby waits for his response and when it comes... it's disappointing. Apparently the fox man mentioned in the quest is not the suspect of the thievery, but the quest giver. She wants to sigh, but doesn't do it as it could give a bad impression to the man. She feels sorry for him after his explanation, but her interest is dwindling. Killing demons is work for warriors, and she's not one. She's an assassin, and is supposed to move in the shadow towards her prey to kill him swiftly before vanishing. Standing guard and wait for whatever is coming is not exactly what her job is intended for... if she does it the normal way.

She is tempted to just console the drunk fox man and go away, without offering her help, but looking at how he's trembling she's hesitating. As said, killing demons is not exactly what she envisioned an assassin would do, but... nothing says that she has to do it the normal way. And so she speaks up <It sure must be hard> she takes a deep breath <As i've said, i just arrived in this town and, unfortunately, my travel has left me without money, so i don't even know where i will spend the night. I'm no warrior, but i at least know how to handle a dagger to defend myself. If you want, i could keep watch over your cattle during the hours this "demon" appears. I exchange, i won't ask for rewards, but i would like if you could give me a spare room when i need to rest> She's been quite direct, but she doesn't want to beat around the bush since if there will be no deal between the two, all the time talking will result to be only a waste of time.

Someone else is approaching the table, probably another player that saw the quest mark and decided to try it, but this time too she ignores the newcomer. Eventually, if she gets in the quest too, they will probably team up to resolve the problem and, while this may seems like it will help in case of a fight, it could also mean that the rewards for the quest will probably be shared. And that's not even the worse. Since she offered to watch the cattle in exchange for a room free of charge, if someone else come he might refuse not only the deal, but her help too. Not that she will be too sad about this since she decided to help because she pitied him.

Well thats definitely one rumor he could make sue of the get some gold for himself and maybe resources as well. It's going to be an interesting take and he makes sure to mark it in his journal. Arashi gave a polite smile to the lovely Madeline and then asked one more thing "Who is handling the situation? Anyone in particular and where is the stone quarry located from New Haven?" He was pretty confident that from memory he had no money and as such he couldn't very well pay for a drink and he's pretty confident Madeline disliked people whom start a tab in her bar. Her breasts were like the sun, beautiful and dangerous. Dangerous in that you never wanted to be caught looking at them lest your eyes be taken from you. So he did his damnedest to keep those eyes on that face of hers.

That's when another woman came up to him and asked him what looks good to him as he gave an aside glance for the moment. He rubbed his chin a touch and then says. "Personally I'd think to start small and take on the goblins. It might be a touch more easier than say the Syndicate quest line for now. Mostly because we just started and the idea that it's a multifaceted quest just screams major quest line to me. Though I think theres another quest actually to take on that isn't on the board." He figured that taking back the stone quarry from the bandits might be a good start as del rather than going after the possibly tougher cartel in the city.

Still snarling Blair quickly thinks 'Damnit I'm a wolf or at least part wolf why are they attacking me?' Blair tries to use her characters wolf instincts to ask the wolves "Why they attacked her?" while aiming one sword at the charging wolf and trying to shake the other off her leg

She knew asking around was a good idea! Now she knows something that isn't on the quest board! "I know that sounds like a good idea, but taking on goblins just doesn't sound as cool as bringing down the Syndicate. Still, it'd be annoying to get one-shotted I guess." She says, starting to rethink a little. "What kinda quest is the hidden one?" She asks. Then she realizes she's peppering him with questions. "Oh, sorry. Here I am grilling ya and I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Lulu!"

Kal looked amused, there was no arrows to buy which meant she wouldn't need any for now hopefully this meant she had an unlimited supply though she rather doubted it, "I'll take one rope for now." Kal hands over 2 gold coins and puts the rope into her back pack. She made the way towards the quest board and looked over the quests taking note of the goblin hunt and the mysterious farm quest, they were something to pass the time earn money and gain some experience with. Though being a sniper she needed to learn how combat worked and doing this alone could be dangerous especially if she did indeed need arrows in the end. The Tavern would be a good place to look for company to help her in her quests, so Kal entered the Tavern.

"Don't worry about it. My name is Arashi, pleasure to make your acquaintance." He said dismissing the onion that he was taken aback or offended by her questions. She's probably just as excited as he was to be starting this game and it was just more on her sleeve. In regards to her question he figured to summarize it. "Well, it looks like from the sounds of things bandits are currently held up at a stone quarry. They kicked the workers out which means the walls for New Haven cannot be completed until they are dealt with. Don't know where the quarry is or whims spearheading this. Probably someone of the city guard but who knows." Arashi was trying to be helpful to Lulu at least as he was playing a knight or at least pretending to be one.

"Oh, cool. Nice to meet ya, Arashi!" She says with a nod of her head. She listens attentively as Arashi gives her a rundown of the situation and then nods her head again. "OK then! I guess I'll ask around the city guard and shoot you a PM when I know something. It's only fair after all since I wouldn't have known about it without you." Lulu makes for the tavern exit, waving to Arashi the entire while. "See ya later!" She calls. Now outside, she decides to track down one of the guard and find out more about the quarry.
