From when she was little, Sae didn't show any evident sign of being a mutant. She was smart, quite athletic, good looking, but that was it, for other peoples, and even her parents. Only Sae knew that she was something more. She first got aware of this when she was in kindergarden, while playing ball with other kids. While playing someone kicked the ball on a tree, and nobody wanted to climb it to take it back. That started a quarrel, and after a while an annoyed Sae shouted against the ball to come down, and unawarely materialized some black matter that hit it, making it fall to the ground. After seeing what happened, the other kids looked at her in a strange way, and as time went on her relationship with them deteriorated, leading Sae to become quite a loner. Not that she didn't like it, since she could focus more on the things that interested her instead.

Anyway, after that first materialization, while she was alone she tried again to do it, failing. Repeatedly. But the curiosity about what happened didn't leave her alone, and so she continued. She was irritated. If she was able to do it once, why wasn't she able to run like that again? Frustrated, she intensely whished for that black matter to materialize again, only to be smashed aganist a nearby wall. It happened, and the wall broke down. While sneaking away, Sae finally began to understand how things worked. Alone, she started again to try what seemed to be superpowers, but things didn't always went her way, making her understand with the method of trial and error what her powers were. Her power were of elemental nature. She was able to control energy. Pure energy. In fact, as she developed her abilities, she found out that she could give pure energy a physical form.

The results were awesome. Condensing the energy into a tangible form, she could create various objects, but the more in detailed they were and the more difficult to control they became. She could create swords and shields, but just using them for something other than show was hard. Not that she had anyone to show them, nor she wanted to make anyone know of her powers. This led her to focus on the usefulness of what she created, instead of the appearance. If she got used to create detailed forms she would have eventually become able to use them in combat, but forsaking the looks she got a lot more control of what she made, and could even produce a lot more than just one thing at time.

She was four years old when she noticed her power, five when she started to perceive how to use them, six when she realized what her powers where, and seven when she understood the extent of her abilities. And from then on, she worked to develop her powers as much as she could.

She was smart, so school was not a problem, but her social life was ruined. At least nobody bullied her, but from what she saw not all were that lucky. She pitied the victim, but wasn't eager to help them, and in fact just went her way every time. Being a hero wasn't for her, but one thing was for sure: she didn't want to be the one being bullied, and if she had to do something so that, in case her turn will come, she will be able to defend herself.
That was how she started to move the development of her powers toward fighting. Without caring for their look, Sae shaped the energy in a slim and lengthy form, sharp at both end. She didn't need any effort in creating this shape as it was extremely easy and simple, and she even managed to multiply it, being able to create more and more of them at the same time as time went on. They were to be used in a manner similar to arrows, while the thicker ones were intended to be similar to spears. Some other basic form were achieved, such as beams or extremely basic geometrical form to be used as shields, but her main focus was on the "Black Spears", as she called them. Both the slimmer and thicker types where categorized under that name, and the Black comes from the color of the energy.

Not wanting to learn only on her abilities, Ruby (as she was nicknamed) enrolled in some dojos, learning quite a bit of martial arts.

Time went on, but her turn to be bullied never eventually came, probably thanks to the rumors about her being the best apprentice of every dojo she went to, but her skills turned out to be pretty useful once she grew up, as the city became more dangerous. She still didn't have any thoughts about becoming an Heroine, but there were times that thugs bothered her and she beated them, starting around the local lower thugs the "legend of the shadowy redhead". The legend told that a black specter disguised as a girl with red hair lures the unaware thugs in an obscure alley and then beat them half to death, also piercing them with black lights, so if they find a lone girl with red hair they should never follow her.
This continued for quite a while, and while the legend spread around Ruby still unaware whacked the brave thugs that dared to test their courage. Once she found out about the tales of the Crimson Shadow, or so she was being called, Ruby couldn't stop laughing for some days, and when she finally settled down (or better, when she could remain still without chuckle every half minute), she thought that it would be quite fun to actually partake actively in the legend.

She got her parent to give permission to live on her own, and so bought a house near her school (though it's practically on the border of the slum, inside it, because it was cheaper).
And then... here she is, the Crimson Shadow will finally start her legend... or at least continue it.

Ah, i know that it's not required, but like in the other CS in my other RPs i'll write my preferences. They are just for reference (and to give suggestion if out of ideas XD), so no problem even if ignored ^^

Okay, so the way im looking at it, I would actually break these down into two powers. The first I would classify as 'Burst of Strength', meaning you suddenly have more strength in your arms or legs, allowing you to do superhuman feats for a short time (hence burst).

The second would be the energy construct ability on par with Rosa.

With this in mind, do you want a lesser version of both, or focus more on one?

As for the time, since while waiting i've read the posts, it seems to be around noon/early afternoon. I'm taking in consideration mostly Sortaix posts, since the character went to school, did a quiz and went her way around till the other finished. She went to the Industrial, where the "incident" happened, and then ran around. On the other hand, consider your pg (or better, your pg "nap" in prison), some hours must have passed, so it should be around noon.

Yes, your character has been accepted after the alterations. Im actually trying to finish this day up, so as to have the net day be chaotic. I was using up till now to flesh out people's characters. Plus, unlike Tsai and the others, Rosa and the new characters are going to (in my mind) need to start off in a new day.

Well, ive just got a lot of free time on my hands. So as much as I like to write stories, listen to music and play Moba's, rping is always fun for me. I get bored pretty easy, but rps can keep me quite entertained.

(Honestly, this guy is a lot higher level than you two. I was going to tell you in the game later, but this guy is basically the furnace for ALL the Industrial District.)

After reading this (and i read this before going to sleep, at 4:30, so the following reasoning is based on what i thought about it in my bed while trying to sleep, and so don't be too hard on me please XD), i thought of something. Ah, it's only a suggestion, nothing to take too seriously, and even if it's taken seriously, it should need some revision if it's to be implemented XD

It's obvious that there are png that are at "higher levels" than our characters, but... if they are superheroes, it shouldn't remain like this, right? There will come a time (after a long, long time), when our hero(and ines) will be able to take them on 1 vs 1 too, but there doesn't seems to be ways for that to happen (at least for now).

So... what about using the virtue as a scaling meter? When it's value goes up (or eventually goes down to the negative), there are various bonuses for the hero(and ines). A simple way would be to just increase the HP by a fixed amount every 5(or -5) or 10 (0r -10) points of virtue, and for example someone with 0 virtue gets no bonuses on HP, one with 10(or -10) virtue gets 2 addition hp, and someone with 100(or -100) virtue gets 20 bonus HP. Another way around it would be to give 2 points to spend on the stats in a similar fashion, but that could get messy XD


As i've said, it's just sleepy reasoning, but i'm posting it just in case it could pick your interest XD otherwise just read it to pass time and laugh at what things people thinks when trying to sleep ù_ù

Sorry for double post, but i'm wondering... is supported here the fast-GMing? XD i'll explain better, in some other RP sometimes when both the GM and one or two player are online and ready to write, i've seen that they continue with a fast-paced RPing until possible, and then they return to the normal pace XD since i'm in mood to write and the GM post came up not long ago, i wondered if it was possible XD
