Grape_Drink Wrote:Morsule's Vision; "Morsule, spirit of the wind, allow me to see through your eyes so that I may find my enemies..." You can tap into the feywild to peer into it at whim. You will be able to spot people at greater distances through your feywild sight, but it cannot be manually activated/deactivated after casting (lasting three posts), and you cannot see non-living objects (such as stone and steel) while using this power.

Does this means that anyone I'll see while it's active appears naked and unarmed? Or that I'm able to see through walls and such?
If it takes me two weeks or more to respond to a RP without prior notice, send me a PM. It's more likely I've missed the last post, forgot or got distracted and need a little reminder rather than deciding to drop the game without warning.

Imagine having your eyes closed, so complete darkness, except all living/magical things (trees, people, demons, magic weapons, etc) have an eery glow to them. You can see "through" stone and such because it's physically not there in your vision (so you can effectively see through walls), but you'll be unable to see walls. So if you see a... Oh I don't know, an orc 20 meters away past a stone fence, you'll know he's there, but if you try to charge at him you'll run into the fence that you can't see (unless said fence is laced with magic).

Thought so...powerful ability, but with serious drawback, I like that!

Fix'd up the character sheets. I'd respond now with updates on the RP thread, but I'm waiting for a couple specific folks to respond first since this scene sort of ties back to their characters (E.G. It would require me to assume direct control of them to keep them from getting screwed over quite literally).

I added in the corruption scores. At 40 corruption you'll start making will saves to resist submitting automatically in a fight (they'll start out low like 4-6 on will saves, and go up from there as corruption goes up), at ~60-75 "points" you'll begin to hear The Unnamed One/Irilin's voice even if you don't follow them, and at 100 "points" you'll be considered "completely corrupted beyond redemption," and will accept Irilin (or in some cases The Unnamed One) as your deity. Players who reach 100 points will be given the option between retiring their character or continuing to play them. There are technically ways to reduce your corruption when it reaches 100 (you know how it says you can unwittingly transfer corruption points?), but they're very likely to get a sword shoved through your gut. Healing magic cannot cure corruption when it reaches 100 points, and while you could go to a church to have corruption removed, doing so tends to be expensive since they'll more or less tell you "stop adventuring for a few weeks/months" instead of encouraging your habits.

Certain actions will naturally reduce corruption (such as praying at a holy idol) while other actions will cause your corruption drops to stagnate. Some actions other than mating with monsters can also raise corruption (praying at a statue of Irilin, or defecating on a statue of Radamis, for instance).

As a general rule of thumb- So long as you aren't screwing everything with (and in some cases without) a pulse, and keep demons off your tails, you shouldn't have to worry too much about corruption affecting you. Demons are corruption powerhouses... While a blue slime for instance will only give you 5 corruption points if it does its business, a Lemure will give you 5 automatically if it sexually grapples you, another 5 if it penetrates, and an additional 5 if it finishes per Lemure.

Phoenixcz Wrote:Thought so...powerful ability, but with serious drawback, I like that!

Yep! It's a really nice power, but the side effects make it so that using it willy nilly can be a bad idea.

berserkerhorn Wrote:Groin popper?? is my hole that treacherous?? O_O

Totally.

Nah, I figured given her past, she'd learn quickly how to resist unwanted advances. So for instance, if she mated with a hornet, she'd know how to avoid mating with hornets in the future.

EDIT: As a side note, I'm going to put up a poll here. What do you guys think of using NWN as the basis for non-overland areas? It takes me a little longer to set them up, but it does help with immersion. Yay or Nay? I'll still look at other tools, but it's a nice one for creating atmosphere.

So the Church lowers lowers corruption and the Fallen raise it - what about the Chains? From the lore, Rastan et al. seem to fall in some sort of middle ground in a lot of ways; I can't see them encouraging anything that helps the Fallen corrupt people, but they also seem to encourage things that the Church would consider to be... questionable.

While I don't think that particular picture is a good example, I do believe that the visuals are a nice touch, and they do help with the creative/roleplay process.

Expanding on the bestiary a teensy bit more. Added in Beastmen, Sprites, and Zeds. I swear if I see a request to play a beastman/woman...! *shakes fist*

Currently on my list of monsters to add (that is by no means an absolute of what inhabits the wastelands)...

Minotaurs, firelions, owlbears, nymphs, satyrs, rusalkas, skeletons, ghouls, wraiths, darkness callers, filth imps, giant moon rats, orcs, goblins, succubi, erinyes, various devils/demons... Mostly the undead, fey, and demon portions pretty much.

Oh Rastan's church/praying (and by extension the chains) definitely cures corruption, in fact they're better at it than most given their nature of being so close to its borders... The chains like to make sure adventurers remember not to get corrupted again though... I think I'll leave it at that.

If I'm correct, I can even go into the DM client after setting up the area with NPCs that could act as facsimiles to take even better screenshots.

If I could figure out how to get the intimate animations mod working... Nah, that's a long ways off and it'd only work with humanoids anyways. :\

But yeah, that picture isn't the best example (it's meant to be dark but the lighting/angle isn't the best making it darker), but take NWN, throw in CEP, and possibly add in a touch of other mods... Could potentially make this work if I don't find something else that appeals more. The "characters" wouldn't look exactly the same, but I'm sure I could pull off something relatively similar.

I'm going to go work on the next post, but it may not be up until tomorrow afternoon depending on how it's looking when I decide to pass out. I'd rather take the time to go back and edit it than leave y'all with poor quality works.

These one's aren't the best quality. I'll probably stick to toolset when making the pictures for a better quality picture all around unless I have to swap to the DM client for pictures (such as for pics for a battle).

Had more to do with spooking it with sudden movements- Wasteland Butterflies are the scourge of the earth and made me realize I have a sadistic streak.

The end is not yet here though! I'm not that sadistic.

Right, respecting nature, I won't disturb that reasoning. ;)

Though I have to ask, is she just... Walking west, or abandoning the other two style walking westward? Just for figuring some things out.

EDIT: Oh, alright, didn't see the edit. One leaving behind comrades it is! :D

Thank yah kindly!

I'm sorry if I'm pissing anyone off, I promise I'm not trying to! Things are finally entering the stages where scenes will play out more smoothly rather than "Oh something appeared! Oh, something ran off!"

I just had to get through that starter scene was all. >.<

Anyways, I'll go work on responding to some folks. If you'd like an image of your character sent to yah (or your character and a specific person) just give me a heads up.

That used to happen to me all the time! It sucks so much, I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm paranoid about something like that happening (I also have cats that jump on the keyboard and cause all sorts of mayhem) so I copy-paste between notepad and the forums all the time these days, heh.

EDIT: As a side note I was trying to get something closer to Tria's outfit, but that was the closest I could come up with given the limitations of NWN w/CEP Opinion?

Hmm, so you went with the appearance, but do you think you could modify the hair to be a bit longer? It appears really short.

Edit: Soz if I come off as nitpicky.

I think it looks spot on! I'm impressed with how close everyone's outfits are to their profiles, you've done outstanding work making this! Just a few more woven vines bands around her forearms and she would be almost exactly how I imagine her

Yeah the same thing used to happen to me as well, every post I make I always copy it before I post because 50% of the time the login page appears and I lose everything, it's just this time I was switching tabs and must have clicked the wrong thing before I saved it :(

It was a pretty long post but I should be able to rewrite it again from memory, basically "why can't I hold all these tentacle hey I can fly oh hey mercenaries who I just landed on half-naked in my lingerie... sup?". Actually forget writing it all again I'll just go with that :p.

Sweeeeet. I can try to edit the arms a bit, though the results might be more along the lines of Dana's forearms. Want me to give it a shot?

I could put 'em in traditional leather armor if you'd prefer, that's pretty much two clicks away, figured the challenge was in getting the outfits right. ;)

And you have every reason to be nitpicky since this little 3D critter is supposed to help with your immersion! You have every right to breath hellfire at me if I mess it up!

How do these look? :D

So Sidra, such half elf, much beautiful, wow.

Note that #3 is the head I used for Ruby I think, so the hair goes down to your ass and defies gravity.

Oh wow. I feel like an idiot because I can't see the ponytail >_<
#3 is what I envision is the closest to what Sidra has currently.
When she "becomes" Roxanne, she ties her hair like the original, but lower. To Hide her ears.

Edit: As much as I'd like to be able to breathe Hellfire, I think it would only give me horrible indigestion. :P

That's what they invented Ranitidine for!

Nah, in the one picture I took the ponytail isn't very visible (not to mention that image is lower quality). You aren't an idiot.

Right, I'll mark the head #s down in my notes so I can quick-change it on cue. I don't think they have the ponytail head with the ears more covered, but I think they might have the long-haired one with more pointy ears, so I'll see if I can find that.

EDIT: Derp, I'm supposed to be writing and Kuragari just put a post up in the other thread...! *type type type*
