The Legend of Krystal, Version G (Finished)

I'll check the trigger. If you are not getting a dialogue box at all (not just a blank one, which would be a seperate issue), the game might just not think Krystal is actually on the dialogue trigger. It is pretty thin, which might be why some hit it just fine and others can't get it to work. I would try zoning in and out or kind of stepping around a bit. I'll increase the range in the next update

I have talked to Carana to start the event who says "Go see Kora she wants to talk to you." and I spent 3 times going around clicking through the text of everyone except for Kora who is tending to peoples wounds in the temple since her text box doesn't appear when I click several times on and around the big blue crystal. So me and Brindus are having the same problem I'm using firefox browser btw.

Same, Kora has never been intractable for me in any of the versions.

Found a workaround for the no dialogue trigger issues with Kora (have also had the same problem as described since the last update).

Nothing worked... until I tried taking the game out of maximized mode. I took it down to I guess what its native resolution is and bingo, everything worked fine for triggering the dialogue. And once initially triggred I could maximize it again and progress and normal.

I run 1920 res windows 7, standalone flash player.

Hope this helps figure out the issue.

I've found a problem with part 3 of the intelligence event which is the choice of trusting the spirit. If you choose yes then you can't click to continue the dialog anymore no matter what your previous choices were. My browser is firefox btw which I'm playing this good game in.

I'll take a look at it tomorrow; I probably forgot to release the animation pauser or something silly that that in the dialogue.

I had the same problem with the third intelligence piece. Other than that great game so far, Gore

Okay the ups from this new configuration are that: it's easier to grind up skills, a bit more logical since you wouldn't really rest for a whole week nor it would take up a week to walk around town and it isn't so much of a dragging on game now since you don't have to keep inputting in the same thing so much in the schedule.

However there are downs: it's harder to predict how much you need to do of one job to get your skill to a specific level (maybe have a prediction system?) and those last two days are annoying to have open when you have a rest day before that (so maybe have two random days of the season be days when Kari wants to do something with you, which can boast a certain skill? So it's more possible to do more events in one play-through and so could allow different endings.)

But that's my opinion on this new update and part 3 of the intelligence event does now work if you choose yes and trust the spirit. Also I do get the new costume too but I would like a choice of what costume krystal wears so you could put in possible boasts with certain jobs and so you can see krystal wearing your favorite costume through most of the game.

I like the thought of having random days in the season when Kari wants to do something with you. Since you are sleeping in her house as her 'slave' then there are likely things that she might want to do that involve Krystal on Kari's days off.

Hey, I'm really enjoying this game so far, and the new system expediates things nicely- much better for experimentation.

Okay finally caught up on the new quests and changes, I got my usual 2 cents to add in, take em, leave em, modify my suggestions, etc.

First will be feedback on the new schedule system since that's what you're specifically asking for. While I like town events only taking a day and resting only takes 2 days, as well as having more time for each season to work, I'm not a fan of packing in 30 days all at once and trying to guess if you've got enough in strength or flexibility or whatever you are aiming for, to trigger the next event.

What I suggest is a system similar to the sim date games. I'm NOT saying you do a little bit of everything every day, but I do suggest you schedule yourself to do one event at a time. This could go either as you only schedule yourself to do something for one day at a time. Or it could be you schedule yourself to do something and get told how many days it will take to complete. Example: You select work and the job you want to do and you are told it'll take 6 days and maybe give a rough estimate of stat increase/decrease that you'll get for that state. You select rest and get told it'll take 2 days, you pick town and told it takes one day. You complete what you picked and then you're back at the house to pick the next task. It allows for more micro management. I'm also infavor of getting asked to do random stuff with Kari, or any NPC for various state boosts.

On the intelligence quest, I'd tweak the dialogue on the last event. It wasn't clear to me if the blue spirit was on my side or not, after how well the hot springs spirit went. Maybe something like "He might be my only chance to win, should I trust him" or something like that.

I defiantly approve of swapping costumes around, so you start in the slave outfit and get the Cerulian outfit for finishing the int. quest on the good ending. However this means the constitution happy ending now needs a new outfit. I still vote for the jungle looking outfit. I can't find an image of it but I'm pretty sure you know the one I'm talking about, green top and some leaves involved I think. Also another option would be to give her this outfit download/links/filelink_36473fe2de4aa42b0122d278961e42baa4f8.jpg as the starting outfit. It's what we'd planned on as it was the only thing we could think of to make for an outfit that looked a step below the cerulean armor or the slave leia look. Something that really says 'you're at the bottom of the totem pole around here, you have to work your way up.'

Started the flexibility quest, love the sandwich joke, that got a laugh out of me.

Gorepete, you do some great work with that flash.
I followed it for some time now and today I decided to join to follow it more closely and to give feedback personally.

1. Are you planning to do something with the "crying" girl in forest ?
2. For "Don't get too excited, I probably won't finish it" you update on regular basis.
You know what ? Even if you don't "finish" it, bringing updates/upgrade to it - like the new week/work system - makes it still awesome ! :D

You are dedicated to it and that makes me happy. And it keeps me looking out for updates.

Keep up the damn good work you are doing here. ;)

the new mechanic sure is better,
but still, locking the schedule for an entire month with out any way to change it in the middle kinda lack some flexibility.

Hey :)

well first of all, I absolutely adore the game ;)

about the most recent changes: the new system is much better than the old, however what i don't like about it is that you can't look up the information when you've started the season. I'd still like to have the ability to start every week/"event" by myself... (for example to know if you're now good enough to trigger an event or not when you've worked a few times in the season and at the end of the season go to the town)

oh and can't wait for the next flexibility event, love the first one so far.

oh and btw. is the virginity thing in the information actually working? i've been having "fun" in every job and triggered every event so far and the character is still a virgin (characters... couldn't do it all in one walkthrough)
and besides are there any "fun" scenes to trigger yet, besides of the job and event scenes and the one with the farm worker? any secrets i haven't found yet? :P

again, love the game, thank you for putting so much work into it :)
aaaand sorry for my english, not a native here...

---- You must use all 30 days before locking
----- Later I might add the ability to just fill out the remaining (3 days left in the season, work 3 days)
------ Right now, though, the numbers must fit the 30 day template
--- When you start the season, it will cycle all 30 days instead of returning to home between weeks
---- After a town visit or cut scene, Krystal will pick up on the next day's activity
-- Please provide feedback on the new mechanic; better or worse than the old method?

Here's the feedback: kill it. Allow assignment of job(s) on a daily basis. You might consider allowing two tasks per day- sort of morning/evening- but the entire 'lock into a month's schedule' doesnt' play right. It also makes the "tedium of long-term waiting for rescue/fitting in slowly" go way too fast and makes the game feel much, much shorter than it should. Just an opinion.

Oh, and if you currently do roll visits to town over in sequence, the usual chat/info/etc doesn't show up. That's rather disconcerting.

Other than the above- good work! (And that's high praise from me).
