Well... Looks like AT&T screwed me again...waited around all day for them to show up and after 2 hours on hold the dispatcher closed while I waited...supposedly they are coming in the morning to hook up the Internet but I have zero confidence in them...2 weeks! Ugh.

Anyway you didn't want to listen to me bitch you wanted an update, so if I get everything set up tommarrow I can post files, but I will just tell you what the update will include: introduction to the redesign of two characters and a preiview of a puzzle game/quest and maybe some other goodies :)

Hope to be back online and off of typing on my phone tommarrow

Yeah AT&T has to have the worst customer service hands down. Had to wait about 4 whole weeks for them to see what the hell was wrong with my internet, then another week for them to actually fix it. Was horrible.

ok internet is back up and sorry for just more screen shots, i just don't have the extra time to put in the Flash as we are really busy doing the massive amounts of writing in the game. But i added a little Linn Dressup test

It looks like the art is getting even better the twins might already be my fav chars from this game but I think it would look a bit better if the colors where inverted or maybe if they had 2 eyeballs of different color but they are awesome nontheless also from the 2 first screenshots it looks like we will film some kind of movie if thats the case will there be other shows airing all over the island maybe one you acted in being shown on screens and the chances of having a fan base in game would be cool also will there be like progressive parts in game for ex. if you are a scientist you will start as lab assistant then an apprentice a scientist etc.

Thanks! Well you can't help but improve if you work on the same thing everyday, the hardest part is resisting the urge to constantly go back and improve stuff that doesn't look as good, lol. As far as a movie it's actually a real temple (one of many) dotted around the island and part of a larger quest but I see how that light looks like a theatrical light. I think I'll replace it with a lantern held by Linn when I drop her in to illuminate the scene. This a good example of the value of posting stuff fir your feedback :) thanks!

I like your idea of having fans, but it would be a little hard to implement. What I can tell you is one variable that effects your character (behind the scenes) is called Fame and it tracks how well known you are on the island and it can help or hurt you in different situations though its most relevant in Marli's quest.

As for the twins, they actually need to look very similar for the story, nearly identical (sometimes they even wear their hair the same) but I like the idea of giving them 2 different colored eyes, like Scottish Fold cats, one green, one blue and the colors are reversed in each sister. I'll run it by Red as she's in charge of all of that stuff.

But you didn't answer if the game will have it's own tv like movies, products maybe a small animation for adds some movies etc. Also will there be upgrades as in getting a better home a larger one, furniture, maybe items that give off some perks too also will your house play a big role or are they just a place to sleep have sex also will some npcs react to your style, house, physical appearance, behavior etc.?

There is one TV show though its still getting worked out and is part of a specific quest line and is focused on the NPC, though there maybe news articles on the Internet in the game about your character. The player home was originally going to have upgrades (and it still might) with furniture and all the rest but it's very much a wish list feature at this point. The player apartment features a computer with email and a few online shops. A bed for passing time. Storage, and, as you point out, the location of severa dates/encounters.

Truly amazing work once more I love the fact that you can now tell the twines apart with more than a color. More than just their hair styles which are so good I was nerves that you were just going to go back and draw hair on their original art. I’ve seen that done before and very few people are ever happy about it. Back to what I was saying I like that you can see personality in their face. Yin just has this sassy little glint to her eyes, while her sister Yang just looks a little happier to see you. I like this because it means that they will not just be carbon clones that so many twins in this kind of game can become. Also the lighting on all that art is simply breathtaking it shows a real attention to detail.

I believe you said you had other potential lover that got a rework and I do hope we will get to see them.

Just stopping by to thank all of you guys for your support and interest in this game. We've all been through some hassle but things are progressing well and I hope that the Demo will please all of you :) And I'd like to use the opportunity to praise goat incredible artwork one more time. It did lend FML a face to recognize and made all of that possible :)

Still goat one of my questions was't answered will npc react to your actions(not with them just general actions), clothings, race etc? And one more can I be a fox?

Sorry missed that part. Yes NPC will react to all sorts of things including species, gender, age, player background skills, clothing, as well as your actions. For instance if you've developed a strong relationship with a character that owns a shop and you buy a gift like flowers from them, they may assume your are giving then the gift. If you don't they will remember that and get jealous. There's tons of modifiers like this you pick up in the game that effect the NPCs reaction, like if you've lied to them you'll have to remember what you said or get caught in the lie. These are all fairly simply tracked with variables and in the corse of the game you will pick up dozens of these little modifiers that we hope will make the game different everytime you play, even if you romance the same character.

Not to spoil things but if you want to date Linn for instance, a young, male, musician lizard has a 400% more difficult time dating her than an older female, scientist horse (her favorite). Every NPC has a gender, age and species preference and will occasionally speak very specifically about your player choices or your attire (Don't wear swimming trunks to the LuckyCat! Lol). So yes it's very personalized and your choices have dramatic impacts on the outcomes of the game. No character is ever out if reach but it may just be a multichannel longer reach fir some.

Player species are: Feline, Canine, Avian, Reptile and Eqquine. Sorry no foxes, but if you want to know what the fox say, ask Miles :P hope that answers your questions.

If you could turn the feline and give it blue eyes, a pointy nose, tiny paws and beutiful red fur wouldn't that make a nice fox? also putting a feline and canine frame together would make something like fox right?

It's not that it's difficult to make a fox, it's that, already with five species and 10 color choices on each player, everytime you see the player in game you have to draw every variation and already with 5 it's a huge task to put the player model together. Also every time we want an NPC to mention your species it's one more line of dialog to write. I mean it would be great to let you choose any animal you want but it's just me doing all the art and I work full time so we have to be careful with the scope of the project or it will never get done. The cat model has a red main color and white secondary color and he/she has a very bushy tail. I would suggest using you imagination :P

Firstly boo to you goat for dragging out that dying old joke.

I love the fact that this are people not just cute or sexy dolls they have likes and tastes and even fantasies about the kind of lover they want. And you may not be what they think they want but will enough time and patients could win their harts do not be too pushy you come off as a stalker. I also love the fact that you build a relationship with a person. They never rely seem to react to what you say other then get mad or flaw all over you. You never rely had to read what they said just pick the responds that best appeased their stereo type and nothing you said had any long lasting effect or ever came back on you. The one thing I hate in Dating sims more than anything is that nine time out of ten you can just buy the love or forgiveness of someone. Say you’re are never going to talk to me ever agene here is some flowers, a teddy bear, and necklace you have now completely forgotten that I stud you up.

I find that this things are rampant in dating sims that have a sexually element cardboard cut out protagonist just picks who they want to bang and just goes throw the motions of trying to get into their pants.

I have two questions this time the first being once we have reach a point with someone were we are now in a relationship or at least what they consider to be one is that the end of the game? I am wondering if there will be anything more than just the chase; will we get to see what it is like now that we have a boyfriend or girlfriend?

Second are all the potential dates bisexual we already know that Linn is I was just wondering if that’s how it is for all of them. I will be very happy to hear a yes because then I will have reason to play both a male and female run throw multiple times.

Basically, what goat said :D Though you can imagine that some of us would really love some other choices regarding the player customization though we had to make a choice to cover most basics. So a Fox has to be covered by generic canine or feline plus some color play, sorry :(

I don't really mind just the basic appearence or at least looking like a fox is enough for me just add a funny dialuge with an Npc about a debate of what does the fox say and I'll be fine with that
