LoL and Dota 2 (but Udyr is still awesome)

i don't know what more to say, I just love him. no one can beat udyr in a fight in LoL, whenever i play him i just kill EVERYTHING, it's kinda hillarious.
example: 1 vs 2 lvl 1; me vs ezreal and taric, i hit ez 3 times, he's out. taric fights for a few seconds, then flashes and runs... i stand victorious with 50 % hp after fighting off 2 players in a 2 vs 1 ambush (they ambushed me).

5 minutes into the game; the carry comes back to the lane, he nearly manages to survive for 3 seconds on lane until he's dead, again...

endgame; i run, i kill, i tank, i DON'T die

that's pretty much Udyr for ya'


on another note, do any of you have a favorite char on LoL?

I've played both, so I would personally have to say DOTA. I've got nothing against LoL, but there are a few cons that DOTA has turned into pros. You don't have to pay for the characters you want to pay, which takes AGES to get enough IP (Even though I do like the idea of swapping champions every week, it means that when you finally get good with a champ, it's gone the next day unless you have the money for it)

DOTA doesn't have the annoyign factor of skins whihc is basically a way of saying "Hey, Look what champion I like playing alot"

Even though DOTA has a more confusing shop system and new players aren't given suggestions on Heroes when starting out, it's tutorial has recently decided to include more then one character so newbies get a chance to try more then just one ranged char when they start the game

Dota is a bit more awesome, actually. the spells are more varried (in LoL it's just skillshot/click-on->singletarget/aoe->dmg/shield/heal/slow/speed, stun/root, and that's pretty much all the skills in the game...)

I play LoL personally, and when I tried DoTA I didn't like it. I thought the champions looked too similar to the minions and that I couldn't figure out how much damage I was doing because there are no numeral feedbacks and no 100-health segments.

At the same time, I only played two games and had no idea what I was doing so it's not a good example.

Each game has its own pros and cons. It just depends on what you prefer. In my eyes, DOTA has a friendlier player player base and is more strategy based than LoL

Dota also has a more friendly community... but yeah, dota is more unstable and the hp CAN be hard to judge, but it's still more fun since you can do so much more.

I honestly have not had my hands on or even played dota but what my friends tell me it takes quite some skill. Of coarse both games take their own skill in a sense but it seems dota is more challenging. Can't really give a non-bias opinion when I've only played league.

Oh, and Udyr isn't that awesome ^_^ *cough* Soraka top *cough*

I just doubble checked. He is still awesome. Not even Garen stands a chance, Udyr eats through anything. but honestly... having 60 ad and doing (60+90+30+10) 190 dmg in one hit, at lvl one, that is the most dmging skill in the game at lvl one (he can also stack 2 hits (dealing 380 dmg / 2 hits))

I play a lot of League as well, and the only thing I hate about udyr..... is playing against him >.> lol. Other then that I don't mind playing him though I normally prefer being the carry.

Played him for the first time a couple days ago against a Riven. His power spikes through level 3, and I was able to completely abuse her out of lane, out CS-ing her by about 40 at 10 minutes. Fun stuff.

well then the player didn't know how to play him. a good udyr is dps in pregame then immortal offtank in late. he's good in 5 vs 5, hard in aram but op in dominion

about that bad ''udyr'', I've seen all champs being played badly, that doesn't mean the champs are bad. (for example, most udyr players max r to get aoe-worthless-dmg for jungle, but in top you don't need that, there you can max q and harass your enemy to pieces

Yeah after udyr rework R is almost completely useless.

Yea it was the player, played a 5v5 a few nights ago (been into a diff game so been on off) and was trying out the new Zyra skin and I was supporting our...*clears throat* ADC udyr >.> and despite it seeming we might be on a tie we started to snow ball them badly and eventually won. But yeah any champ can be played badly...such as me with rengar >..> but that doesn't mean the champ cant be godly in the right hands.

I sometimes play udyr on botlane... as support/tank/fighter though = I keep the enemy off my adc and burst them if they enter mah' bushes. the tactic is actually quite good since the enemy usually goes for the carry when ganking, leaving udyr free to kill one or even two of the enemies while they hunt the adc. after that it's no problem for the adc to finish off the last one. (especially if the udyr played well ;3)

Honestly I'd say the Garen bane is BotRK. 5% current health as additional physical damage, plus the active is very good for adcs to kite him. If Garen's fighting a tank melter like Kog'Maw, Vayne, or Corki, then the BotRK is really effective at kiting him.
