The two schools of thought i subscribe to are either make a post after the player post or make a daily post where anyone that post that day gets a new post. Both push the players into posting at least once a day and if they don't so what?
This about it this way. I as a player take forever to post. While everyone else has posted i still haven't 3 days after you posted. So what advantage does waiting for me bring? The ability to keep me happy? If you were to post for everyone that posted then nothing is really lost expect i've lost the chance to get a new post.
Now do keep in mind that if you RP expands 5 new pages in a hour, this can be bad as players that weren't their for that hour feel lost. Also, some times you have to break this rule; normally when you have something that hinges on the player that isn't posting or if the player is in a group.
I agree with Bluelight! But posting right after a players post is better for small groups or one-on-one RPs, or depending on the situation (like a boss battle), for groups like us I think it'd be better to have a GM post around every 2 or 3 days, as long as the GM isn't too busy with work or study or other things, that would be enough to keep things going while giving everyone enough time to respond. But if you feel more comfortable waiting for everyone to post so they don't feel left out that's alright. I just want this RP to keep going!
