Backstory from the OOC:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The virus has mutated. It's been thirty years since the outbreak, and right when humanity seemed to be gaining control- chaos erupted once more. 22 years after the outbreak, the first pouncers were found. It was as if the virus knew that it was losing, and increased the power of its own arsenal to combat its demise. The infected began to fight even more aggressively- to the point where they attempted to rape the healthy. They grew absurdly large members made of tissue and fungus, resulting in colossal members full of bumps and ribs. The victim(s) typically are dominated and raped repeatedly until they turn. Because most infected can be found near other infected, most victims are raped by more than one infected individual until they turn. It has been found, however, that it is possible to be raped and not turn- as long as the healthy individual can escape before the infected are able to cum inside them.

And I felt obligated to post this...

The town of Demaville stands before you. You have arrived in town with what you could hold on your person and ten ration tickets the government gave you upon entry. Full of merchants eager to trade their goods and make a profit along with cutthroat criminals seeking their own advancement. It is located in what was once Silicon Valley, but now little more than a post-apocalyptic shanty town. The most notable cites in town are as follows: the market, the slums, the affluent mansion, the bar, the mechanic, the government post, and the concealed tunnels to the outdoors. The vendors in the market will trade anything and everything- this is what keeps the town afloat. The desperate denizens of the slums will give missions to adventurers for various rewards. The lucky landowners in the mansion look down on the rest of the town, as if they somehow were better. The bar sells all manner of spirits, liqueurs, beers, etc., but for a price. The mechanic buys, sells, and repairs all kinds of mechanical tools. The government post deals out food rations and will give adequately equipped adventurers high-risk/high-reward jobs for weapons, ammo, food rations, etc. The tunnels are filled with infected, but may contain a few hidden treasures. To leave the town, these tunnels are really the only option, as the government tends to never let anybody out through the gates. It isn't pretty, but there seems to be plenty to do in putrid Demaville. Good luck.

Lindsey looked around the town, eyeing all the opportunities awaiting her. She noted the venders selling items and the government soldiers handing out instructions for high priority missions. She first approached one of the soldiers at the government post, her bag already filled with bolts and food she scavenged. She was given a high risk mission involving lost soldiers in the tunnels. They wanted her to search for them and to determine if they were killed or not. She decided she could use some extra supplies, the food in her bag not sufficient enough to sustain her for a week. She turned around and approached the slums, the entrance to the tunnels in that area. Drunken men tried walking towards her but they fell on their face, their beers rolling out of their hands. Starving women and children lied on the ground, no hope in their eyes. Lindsey learned to ignore this, her survival more important in her mind. She found the entrance to one of the many tunnels, a metal disk covering it. She pulled it aside, shining her flashlight into the tunnel. She then began descending into it, pulling the metal disk back over the entrance.

Eden walked among the milling crowds along the streets, not entirely comfortable with the fact that she was in a crowd this big, but also the fact that she wasn't in her typical travel outfit.
Instead, her mother had made her, while bedridden, a simple top and jacket, made from canvas that they had secured in a trade. On her lower half was a slitted denim skirt, with thoroughly worn combat boots a size too large.
'Mom's gotta be losing her touch,' she thought to herself as she had inspected the clothing before actually wearing it.
The skirt's slit was scandalously high, something that her mother had said was popular before the outbreaks had began. There was no way she'd typically be caught dead wearing it, but under her mother's stern glare, she stripped and wore the clothing before leaving.
She wasn't totally helpless though. Her revolver was loaded, but holstered under her jacket.
Trying her best not to take large strides, she headed to the venders of the city. She needed to dig for info, but not for the price of her under developed body.

Ravina took a large gulp from her tequila canteen, feeling the burning sensation fill her gut. She was already getting weird looks from people. She just assumed that some people weren't used to seeing a woman this heavily armed and not wearing FEDRA colors. She took a last swig before hooking the bottle onto her belt and heading towards the outpost. She needed rations so she could eat and fill up on beer before passing out in some shitty shack somewhere. It wasn't perfect but it was good enough for her and better than what she had slept on, on the front lines. As she pasted the first groups of soldiers she gave them a respectable nod, knowing the sacrifices each of them made regardless of what the populous assumed. With her trusty assault rifle on her back, it would provide a strong enough warning to fuck off when night came. Her train of thoughts stopped as she reached the bounty desk and she coughed to get the person's attention. "Excuse me, but I'm looking any missions or postings with higher than normal hazard pay. I'm quite efficient with my firearm of choice and close quarters so I'd appreciate a job worth my time and pay-grade."
By taking a tougher job she was hoping that she could rack enough money together so she could spend at least a couple of days in drunken bliss. If not she could just find some infected to kill, they were always slightly entertaining to kill, especially when buzzed. Ravina inwardly smiled, at least I know how I can entertain myself tonight regardless.

Ravina:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The officer gave her a quick inspection and seemed impressed, and rightly so. "Ex-military? FEDRA? Ahh, never mind, I probably don't want to know anyway. Yeah, sure, I've got plenty of work to do. Let's see here... Right-o, three possible tasks that suit your abilities. One- a pack of about a dozen pouncers on the northern outskirt of town. They shouldn't be able to get in, but we want to be sure. If you eliminate them all, we'll give you 40 ration cards. Two- a few hunters have scavenged the parts to repair an old tank. That can't be good- either disable the tank or kill them all, preferably the latter so that we can use the tank. 30 cards and 40 cards, respectively. Three- some sort of rebellion in the slums is beginning. I want to know more. I don't know what I'll give you, as I don't know how much work this'll take. So what'll it be- wait, are you drunk?"

Eden:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Men, drunk and sober, old and young, eyed the provocatively dressed petite young girl walking through the dusty streets. She could feel their gazes and was disgusted. She made it past their stares and entered the market, the central hub of town. A variety of vendors awaited her and the other citizens- the vendors sold meats, vegetables, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), men's and women's clothing for the current dry season, guns, melee weapons, medicine, "medicine," and miscellaneous items. The weapons dealers tended to show their illegal arms to trusty customers only. Luckily for her, these merchants were all honest, and didn't have the heart to take advantage of her .

Lindsey:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The disk closed behind her, she descended into the depths beyond. Initially, her flashlight revealed nothing. Lindsey skulked around the tunnels for a few more moments, until she heard moaning up ahead. She carefully leaned her head around the corner of the murky tunnel to see a pack of infected only 20 or so feet beyond. In the brief moment he saw them, they were gathered around something, a recently killed soldier, perhaps? If she could verify that this was indeed a soldier, she could return to the post. The pack would likely tear her to shreds- there had to be a way to get the infected to go somewhere else so that she could take a proper look at whatever was on the ground. There were plenty of rocks lying about, and the tunnels reverberated with every noise...

Sam walked into Demaville rather late in the day after a long trek across the nearby wilderness. Her clothes were in tatters from several attacks and only barley concealed her figure. She was low on supplies already and figured the best place to look for more would be in the more run down areas of town. She knew how to handle the people that lived in these kind of areas, at least well enough to get what she needed. She looks for any form of organization, usually groups could provide her with the best kind of equipment and she might find a safe place to stay for a while. Meeting local thugs wouldn't be a problem either, they might just have some work for her and usually she wasn't picky about what kind of jobs they wanted done.

Ravina rolled her eyes, leaning over the desk to look the man in the eyes. She gave him a fixed glare that gave no room for questions. "Am I acting drunk? So what if I had a drink? These are crazy times and you need someone with my skills. I'll take the rebellion contract, I helped with the evacuation of some cities so I have experience in crowd control. We can discuss my pay after I return with a field report. Also I'm going to need any relevant information on this slum rebellion. People of interest, hangouts, anything that gonna make this easier for me." She brazenly took a sip from her tequila bottle, eyeing the man down. "I just can't understand why, with all of this madness and the infected outside would some people try overthrowing the establishment."

Lindsey's heart almost stopped as she saw a horde of infected directly in front of her. She didn't move a muscle, not wanting to draw the horde's attention. Lindsey was very curious as to where the moans were coming from, wondering if one of the soldiers were delirious. *Only one way to find out*, she thought. Lindsey looked down and saw rocks scattered everywhere, an idea forming in her mind. If she threw the rock far enough past the horde, the sound could draw them away from whatever they were surrounding. Taking in a deep breath, she picked up the rock. It was damp from the sewer floor, the surface rough and cool. She whipped it over the hordes head, the rock ricocheting off the far wall and around the corner. Lindsey waited, seeing what their reaction would be.

Eden ignored the stares to the best of her abilities, only by keeping a hand on her holstered revolver.
As she moved through the forest of vendors, she marveled at how many things were on display.
However, she had business to take care of.
She was looking for scavengers, hoping for information of rich areas that she could take advantage of.

Samantha:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Entering the slums, the eyes of local thugs stare you down, and you feel a little frightened from the sheer numbers and strength these men possess. You approach who looks to be a thug leader and ask for work. "Sure, baby, I got some work for ya. How bout you let me ride that fine ass o' yours?" he laughs, smacking your ass at the same time. His entourage laughs with him.

Ravina:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

He seemed to like your edginess. "You make a good point. I'll be sending my lieutenant Rick with you, and he'll give you more details on your mission. Find him in the barracks on your way out, he'll be just outside. To answer your questions- people of interest; I don't know any. That's what you're here for, to be frank. They seem to meet in the southernmost portion of the slums; you might want to start there. Regarding your last question- I ask myself the same thing."

Lindsey:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Your throw is successful, and clangs somewhere beyond the pack. Just as you'd hoped, they clamber off in search for the sound. In their wake, a mutilated soldier lies on the floor. He is barely recognizable as a soldier now; he has been ripped to shreds. Nonetheless, he somehow manages to get up, albeit very slowly. His uncoordinated movements and aloofness clearly labeled him as infected, although whether he was a pouncer or a normal was yet to be discovered. Although you could take your chances with the gov. post, it is unlikely that they would accept one dead soldier as evidence that the entire team was killed. (OOC yeah this contradicts what I said earlier. Sorry.)

Eden:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Eden walks into the bar and surveys those inside. She knew that if she was looking for information, this was where she should start, as most scavengers came here after long treks through the wilderness. Although it was technically illegal, recovering supplies from before the first outbreak was vital to this trading community. Eden had three options- to order a drink and talk to the bartender, to talk to a scruffy looking old man downing whiskey, or talk to a young woman who looked to be waiting for someone at a table.

Eden walked into the bar slowly, apprehension gnawing on her nerves, but not showing it at all on her face.
Between the drunks and the cutthroats, true help was few and far between here.
Out of the corner of her eye, she kept a wary eye on the bartender.
Bartenders were known to be quite notorious for cutting backroom deals in order to mislead gullible people into hunters. Generally, they were not the helpful kind in this day and age.
That only left they young woman.
Slowly, she approached the lady before asking in a low voice, "Excuse me, but are you a scavenger? I'm looking for information on places that are worth looking into."

Lindsey was wary, preparing to draw a bolt from her back pack and load her crossbow. A thought then came to her mind. If she killed the infected man, his fall onto the ground would alert the horde. She returned the bolt to her pack, not wanting to draw even more attention to herself. She slowly backed away as the mutilated soldier walked forward, not wanting to go back to the post and look like a moron. She looked around for an escape route but found none, the tunnel behind her caved in. She decided she had no choice and drew the bolt from her pack, loading her crossbow and aiming it at the recently infected soldier. She pulled the trigger, sending the bolt out of her weapon.

Ravina rolled her eyes, groaning on purpose. "I didn't sign up for babysitting. He better keep up and stay relevant to my contract. I'll observe the slums for a day and mark any person's of interest for later surveillance. If that's all the info then I'll go pick up Rick before heading into town." She didn't like the idea of a partner, most times people slowed her down or just couldn't accept her drunken habits. "Well fuck them, I like my drinking." She muttered as she walked towards the barracks. Without announcing her presence, she walked into the barracks, emptying the rest of her tequila before addressing the masses. "Lieutenant Ricky! Get your ass over here so I can stop some damn rebellion and collect some drinking rations!" She was pissed about being assigned some guy that would probably stick out like a sore thumb. The glorious warm feeling in her gut also supported this idea since she hadn't even met the guy yet but he was somehow killing her buzz.
She shook her empty booze bottle with a sad sigh before looking around for this chump, she bet he was fat too, and had bad breath. "Soft garrison troops, most probably haven't seen the front-lines." Of course this was all speculation and she really knew nothing about the officer yet.

Samantha gives him a smile not afraid, and puts one arm around him. "I was hoping you'd have something more important for me to take care of, I'm new in town and if you had anything you needed taken care of quietly I can fix it." She said leaning against him, she didn't mind his grip on her ass she had taken care of worse thugs before, they often underestimated her because of her appearance.

Sam:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The thug scoffs, "wha- like a job? For you? Hahaha, not only could you not accomplish it but you'd be raped and torn to pieces in the process. But what the hell. Look here- we have a stash of weapons located outside the city. We're going to use it to- never mind that's not important. Anyway, the infected came and we evacuated, leaving our stash outside with a pack of infected in between. We're not gonna risk our asses when we can hire some adventurer to do it for us, but you don't stand a chance. Still, I might as well let you try. Take the southeast tunnel out of the town, and then you'll see an old farm. Inside the barn are the trapped infected as well as our stash. Clear those fuckers out and I'll give you a cut of the weapons/ammo and 40 ration cards for the market. Also, take Vanessa here with you. Come 'ere sweetheart." Vanessa spat back, "shut up you fuckin cunt I'll cut your eyeballs out. Why am I goin?" The two argued for quite some time. Vanessa was black with a shaved head and a muscular but thin frame. She wore a full yellow tank top and carried a revolver and a machete. The contents of her backpack were unknown.

Ravina:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The soldiers laughed at her abrasive remark. A puff of cigar smoke wafted to her nose from behind her. "You shouldn't make judgements about those you don't even know. And for the record, I could have you thrown into jail for what you just said." As you turn around, you come face to face with lieutenant Rick. "And don't call me Ricky," he stated coolly and blew another puff of smoke into her face. He looked quite rugged: a strong jaw, stubbled facial hair, fair yet somehow brownish hair, 6 feet tall, mid twenties, and muscular. He was actually quite handsome.

Lindsey:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You take what is a relatively easy shot (difficulty of .1) but you still miss!
5/.1= 50, random number= 1, 50*1=50= failure
The shot clinks off the wall opposite the walker, who mindlessly continues his slow walk towards you. Luckily, the noise seems to not have attracted the pack, however you can hear that they are beginning to spread out.

Eden:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The woman seemed frantic, and clearly was very anxious about something. When you approach her, she jumps in her seat and almost screams. "Oh, no, I'm no scavenger. Listen, please, would you help me? There's a man, riding here now, he should be here any minute, and he's coming on a motorcycle his name is John I think he's coming to kill me please you have to help me I'll make it worth your while in information and materials-" she cut herself off when she realized she was almost shouting. She looked to be in her late thirties or early forties, had raven black hair, big brown eyes, big pouty lips, and a square jaw. She was thin but mid height, and wore a woven blue dress, a luxury that was rarely seen these days, especially in areas like this. She was still shaking and nearly in tears- she clearly needed help.

Ravina inhaled the smoke, noting the fine quality of the smoke. She turned around to confront this lieutenant only to be pleasantly surprised. Her eyes wandered over her body for longer than she would like to admit. Nevertheless she stared him in the eyes, not impressed by the threat of jail-time. "For the record, you can't afford to put me in jail because you need someone to foil this rebellion. The fact that I got this contract shows that FEDRA clearly can't handle this by themselves. Do you need a girl to babysit all of your missions? " She gave him a cocky grin, already enjoying his company. "I'm Ravina, lets get going and crack some skulls. Just give me the necessary info on the way to the slums." He seemed enjoyable so far, maybe she'd offer him a drink later on in exchange for one of his cigars.

Eden mulled over the frantic woman's deal.
What she wanted was someone dead. Sure she could do that, but how was she to milk the most out of this deal?
"Perhaps I will help you with your predicament, but let's move somewhere else more... private in order to work out the details."
This bitch better not try to backstab her.

Lindsey couldn't believe she missed, reaching into her pack to draw another bolt. She inserted the bolt into her crossbow again, taking careful aim. Lindsey backed into the rubble behind her, leaving her no where else to run. "I'm screwed!" she thought, aiming her crossbow at the infected soldier. She fired the bolt, hoping it hit its target. She was too close to the infected man to load and fire again so she threw it to the ground, taking her knife out of its sheath and holding it in front of her. She knew one bolt was extremely unlikely to take down the infected so she prepared herself for the worst.

Ravina:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Calmly as ever, he replied "we need to change out of these clothes into civilian attire. Come this way." He led you to a large tent with clothes laid out on the floor, one set for him and one for you. He undressed and put on a grimy tank top and worn jeans. He looked at you exactingly, assuming that you would take your clothes off just as quickly.

Eden:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Frantically, she whispered "are you sure? I came here so that he might not kill me in a public place, but you're the boss. Lead the way." She got up from her seat and began to follow you. There was an alley behind the bar, that could serve as a possible location to talk.

Lindsey:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Ditching the crossbow, your knife will have to serve as a weapon, but only for this one walker, as the rest were spread out throughout the tunnels. You attempt to cut the infected man.

26/.25*8= 100+= hit achieved
5 + 15 = 20 hit points
enemy hp = 25
5 hp left on enemy

Your attack was successful, and the walker is not entirely dead, but so badly wounded from both you and the other infected that it collapses, unable to fight. {A finishing move would be appropriate here}

Eden hissed in irritation in the fact there was an alleyway next to the bar. That was trouble and some of his cousin's just waiting to happen.
She would have brought her to her safehouse, a few minutes away from the quarantine wall, but she felt no desire to house a potential threat in there.
Shoving the woman back into her seat, and taking the adjacent one, she said, "Talk fast. Tell me everything. Then, put your offer on the table."
Her left hand was casually at her side, but her right laid on her belly, only a quick draw away from starting a firefight, which would be very bad for everyone.
