Game idea, fighting game, Seiteki

Postby that man » Thu Sep 05, 2013 3:48 am

This is just an odd thing I've noticed:
we have sex games in just about every genre, but there isn't any sex fighting game. It seems like it would be an oddly simple thing to do, as you could have sexual moves, the match can end when one of the people cums, or we could even have a pleasure and resilience bar separate. I know that there have been ideas passed around about one, but I haven't actually seen any physical proof. So I was thinking about trying to make one, but then realized that I don't have any skill in all of the fields related to game design. So basically, I'm looking to see if anyone thinks this is a good idea, and if they'd be wanting to help with it.

I tried something like this before. It's the the second flash file in the OP, and it's just numbers in boxes atm. I stopped working on it because I can't draw at all, so I had no way to add graphics to it, but it wouldn't be too hard to make a text based game in this format.

Also, for other games, Corruption of Champions *sort of* has a system like this, although it's not really what you described. In any case, it's a good example of how text based combat could work. My idea was based off a game called Erotical Nights. You can get a trial version here. It's a paid game, but you can acquire it for free (but I'm not allowed to link you to any illegal downloads so you will have to find it yourself).

That's not exactly what I meant. I was talking about something along the lines of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, or Skull Girls.

I'm a big fan of fighting games, and have tossed around the idea behind an adult fighting game but I can't think of a good way to do it. The two examples I can think of are Super Strip Fighter 4 and Fairy Fighting, which is fine I guess, but the adult aspect is weird, like it seems tacked on. Haven't played much Fairy Fighting, but I remember I didn't reallly like it.

The problem is fighting games are pretty much all about the gameplay, and for an adult aspect to be incorporated you need to slow the gameplay down to play out a scene which is normally a no no in fighting games. If you were able to incorporate sex in a meaningful way I think it would be successful but I can't think of a good way to do that.

Another problem is sex (excluding rape) is a mutual activity, so unless your game is only people trying to rape one another, then there's not a good reason to fight. And honestly I'm not big on rape.

It's a good idea, and apart from Fairy Fighting, it's been done in other games.

Like by that one guy, fuck, I can't remember the guy's name ... AH, right.

Toffisama, and his "Princess of the Ring".

Lemme get a link.

Fairy fighting does have some good points, but I found it to be a little on the sluggish side and it had a very steep difficulty (not that that's a bad thing). And, while Princess of the Ring is nice, I find it's character roster to be too small and a bit limited in the imagination department (It's a freaking hentai game,

-I think I see your point on how it can be hard to do a fighting game. Having a story would be an oddly hard thing to do, and it would at least help justify things. Not sure if justification would make it any better, but it would still be odd to figure out why.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, you know what would kick ass, if we used our own LOK original characters from our own games for the roster. You know like having Eva from Gorepete’s Sakyubasu no Tatakai fighting Eggplants’s Demon Huntress. The breeder from HartistaPipebomb’s Breeding Season VS my Captain Cutie ;) . You know, kind of like our own version of smash bros.

Now we only need to find a person that has experience in making fighting games, redraw all the models so they would mesh together in one art style, animate and code it all and also has a lot of free time on his hands. Any volunteers?
1 game (oh I mean story slideshow -_-) and 5 flash loop FINISHED...fuck yea

You know what would be easier to make than a fighting card? An LoK CCG. The objective is to complete creation of a game - whichever player finishes a game first wins. There are three types of card: Events, Files and Developers.

Developers are resources that can be used for the creation of files or use of events. They come in different forms such as Artists, Programmers, Designers, where each represents a type of work that can be done. The easiest way to explain this is to compare it to Mana in MTG - you can tap Developer cards on the field for the turn to pay costs of the corresponding types.

Events are pretty obvious, they have a one time effect and don't stay on the field. They usually require a cost to activate.
Examples: Data Corruption - Destroy one file card, New Tutorial - Add a Developer to your hand from your deck

Files are cards that can be created by tapping developers to appear on the field. They are used to defend your game file and destroy the opponent's files. Most File cards have an attack value and a health value.
Examples: Krystal, Preloader.as, Sharpclaw Tavern

Game Files are a special type of File card. Each deck must have exactly one Game File, which stays on the field from the start of the game. Rather than having health or attack, Game Files have a work quota and an approval rating. Developers can be tapped to fill up the work quota, and if it is full, your game is complete and you win. Approval rating can be damaged by your opponent, and if it is lowered to zero, faith in your project is lost and you lose the game.

... I overthought this.

Here's my character. I just thought her up and roughed her out. Her name's Corina Convex. Not very powerful close range, but she summons a tentacle beast to do her fighting for her. Downside is once she starts losing clothing, the beast targets her. Her B move is a lash type tentacle, her up+B is a cum fountain tentacle, and her down+b is a tentacle trap that restrains for further attack.

So, are we going to make a fighting game? It does honestly seem like there should be at least one engine out there we can repurpose and, if anything, we should have an easy time finding artists.

I think we should take tips from AnotherArrow. His game was made for brawling. I, for one, am going to contribute my character and map and be gone; but this would be interesting to see take off. I'd help with the engine, but my coding skills are still rudimentary and I've got another project, so it'll be up to you to find them.

Here's my character, so far. Gonna work on some limbs, next. She's actually pretty animation friendly, so far as tweening. I've got a plan to rig her, just need to figure out how the tits will work.

You can try asking AnotherArrow. He's really busy, though. I like IrrelevantComment's engine, too. Probably better to try using that one, it kinda reminds me of smash, anyways.
