That's freaking amazing.
I'm not crazy enough to actually consider animating the 130 pokemon we currently have now. (each with 3 poses)
But what really impresses me is the filesize. Your animation is only 9 KB!


It's only about 10 parts in total, but there's a good chance I could get the file size even lower some way. I agree that trying to animate all 151 pokemon would not be worth it for all the time it would take to do it. You would also have make the engine accept a .swf for the pokemon sprites.

The game engine is already able to use SWF files anywhere that graphics are displayed, such as the "photos" gallery and pokemon battle graphics. Hell, even the "photos" we see during cutscenes can be animations.
This is because I use a custom-made image-loader component that automatically handles the loading of all the graphics. I just drag & drop this loader movieClip, give it the path to a file, and it simply displays it. It can load image files, SWF files, and internal movieclips and images.
Pretty much everything can move.
About the only things that can't be animated are the map chipsets and the window borders.

humb, i'll help you. i think i can shade if i do some experiment. i'll finish goldeen and jessie, then i'll start to shade. if you've found some tecnique, can you give me a little tutorial?

Whoops, I just got it to work. I must have put the file path in wrong when I tried it. It does give me a Generation 4 Pokemon vibe when you see it in motion.

I remembred this room and had an idea: what if some of those pokeballs are voltorbs and when you turn on the alarms they wake up and try to chase you. Also there can be items in the room, so they can blend in better and you have a reason to try to activate them manually (instead of avoid the whole room).

Those "pokeballs" are actually just temporary markers to show where the laser sprites are.
But that's a really neat idea.
Of course, I'll need to reconsider what Voltorbs are now. Are they still AI's created by Porygon? Or are they something else now? The porygon idea can still work since her experiments with AI might happen sooner rather than later.

I was already going to have a couple pokeballs be only accessible after the lasers are turned off. But it would be interesting if some of them are traps.

Bullet-holes in the shower are bad manners

Well, looks like I'll have to revise the current bedroom scene then.

Ash & friends walk into the bedroom and wonder whose it is?
Pikachu starts bouncing on the bed.
Meanwhile in the shower, Terra tells the 6 soldiers to "salute" her, then "take aim"
But then she suddenly hears pikachu and runs out to investigate, leaving 6 naked guys awkwardly standing together in the shower.
Brock hits on Terra.
She fires a warning shot.
Ash thinks her aim sucks.
Hearing gunfire, the soldiers rush out and fight over who gets to defend her.
Terra tells them to be civilized... and she'll kill the intruders.
Pokemon battle
Surge arrives, saying that nobody is supposed to be in here.
Everyone ends up in the military prison.

But that's not a bad thing. I've just come up with a new scene to go with this picture:

Walk into the shower while Terra's right in the middle of a huge orgy.
Ash suddenly challenges her to a gym battle. (thinking she's the gym leader)
She's so annoyed at the interruption that she battles him... with guns. (and no pokemon)
Afterwords, Surge arrives in her room after hearing gunfire.

Terra tells the soldiers to hide while she goes out to talk to him. (Misty looks around at all the naked men. Misty: "Well, this just got akward")
Terra tells Surge that she was using her AK47 as a vibrator again.
Surge complains about repairing bullet-holes in the bathroom again and runs in.
Surge runs in and sees 6 naked soldiers and 2 kids. (nobody says a word)

Everyone ends up in the military prison.

Might sound stupid, but are you waiting for the game to be completed before the next release? Because I have watched your pages almost everyday, seen all the work you have put in and can hardly believe if you don't have enough new content for the next release.
