It's just the head so far. Not sure on the exact anatomy of the body, since I'm not all that familiar with zergs. Trying to learn how to animate in flash now, but it's sort of confusing. I think I can draw well enough, just can't animate at all.

so.. flash is getting less and less interesting.. thought I'd try learning something new - something.. nice..

here's what I've got from my first hour in poser 8-)

with bit of nice lighting, some baddies and damn-hours playing with keyframes.. this could turn out to be a load of fun!

first.png
might take this to a blog or something if it works out..

PS:
@bliss - good work, looks fierce
@axel - if only I could update my library items by dragging them into flash.. well, c'est la vie..
@oos - good to see some work being done on the game again, right on!

Oh, wow, this could be VERY nice. I'd never say I was tired of flash, but this could be a heck of an improvement. ;)

All kidding aside, if anyone needs help with any of their projects, I'm more than willing to help now. Just got a better job and it requires me to work half the time for twice the pay! Free time win.

On a side note, why are this thread and Gorepete's separate? I mean both the project leaders abandoned their posts, and new people have taken over the threads. Aren't the two working toward a similar goal of a Samus Platformer? Could always conjoin the efforts and make a great Samus game.

that would make a lot of sense then the 2 thread could pool resources to make more progress

I got merged into this thread, what are your excuses?

naw, but really.. all the efforts we've got thus far are buried in both threads
and I don't think we've got ..anyone.. really working on new stuff..

@kal -
I said that I loved you for drawing that somewhere... else..
'nother hug, suur?

lol, my Sharpclaw Brute is where you loved it from.
I'm trying to start up Gorepete's thread and actually get something going. Thraur is so far a pretty great programmer and compiler, and Digfree seems to have a good hand with animating. I just look at this thread, and all the work that goes into it, and it'd be great to have people still working on stuff like this. Especially you, you've got some good talent in your cinematic animation skills, and I adore the quality of your work.

@kal - I meant exactly where and when I confessed my undying love for your artwork, but yeah..

alright then, I'm inspired - let's make some plans to get ready to start producing material. (snappy, huh? 8-) )

before I can really get started with anything though, I wanted to get a feel for exactly how people wanted a game to deal with sex versus combat,

the best balance that I can come up with would be a take on pete's current design without the suit change..
rapes will happen when an enemy gets close (as per-usual) maybe have them be able to chase you without you being shot yet,
and bring the blasters together, shots stun an enemy before he drops to the ground. rape stunned baddie before he drops to regain health or something

how does that sound, anyone add to that?

:D Show me where you confessed! I must know xD
Alright! Yes, snappy lol ^^.
I think everyone on this forum would say they're more for sex > combat any time of the day.
I also agree with pete's current design, seems like the best combo of sex > combat, with a good balance on sexy.

I sure am not, but I'd like to direct your attention to Thraur. He seems to be working on a cool 2d engine for this platformer. (in other thread, of course).

ooh, that one was buried under comments pretty quickly..

abandoned? perhaps.. it looks like we might be getting a new samus to play with, that means all of my 'older' stuff becomes un-compatible,
updating a project for a completely new model would take about the same amount of effort that starting from scratch does..

so, yes and no.
