By the way, read the thread - it said that the Pokémon would be selected in the end and only a few would take part.

I did read the thread. Adding spice is great, variety is a wonderful thing - I'm just wondering why variety seems to stop at Pokemon - there are plenty of other creatures and characters you could add in, but everyone seems to have a major hard on for Pokemon. Which is fine, I could care less, in fact, I'm sure adding some pokemon into the game would be cool. I have to agree with what Trunks said on the subject, he seems to know what he's talking about.

Since its so early in the development, most people are going to demand stuff they readily know, like pokemon over say.. a Slaaneshi Chaos Space Marine with tentacles coming out of every crack in the armor. The main point of the game at the moment is to show it off, so people will add their own content later, and what better advertising can you get than Krystal being used by a Charzard?

We have a reason for doing everything, this is one of those things. The team tackles issues in different ways, we all contact each other by separated means of communication frequently, and have a pretty good networking system of ideas. Its not like I've posted this up out of pure spontaneity--and I certainly don't want you guys to assume that. This thread is, in simple terms, a "busy" post, in order to either (a) inspire ideas and crank the gears of our fellow users creativity, or (b) keep our users busy with something entertaining that can also give us a bit of insight on what you, as our users, may want in a certain area of interest, whilst we work on LoK's next release. The process of creating this mammoth game in such a small package like flash is very time consuming, and requires a lot of dual-cooperation with the team, so we need stuff to pass the time and keep everyone happy, bringing their opinions and ideas to the table--while we're doing things like writing the code, designing characters, animating, writing the story and dialogue, making backgrounds, interfaces... etc., the list goes on and on. We don't make each and every post as "pass the time" mumbo-jumbo, it really does interest us what you think and what you guys appeal to--I'm simply explaining it as linearly as possible. In fact, I would tell you stuff, but as part of the team, we're keeping everything about v0.3 a secret until its release, except for what little we've said will be featured and my extremely limited preview of a model from v0.3.
Currently, our focus is on Pokemon, we don't want to breach our horizons any further and get too far ahead of ourselves. Icarus has definitely played a valiant role in our process, "my friend." (:D) So its not like we're having a Pokemon extravaganza, its more like this is our current focus, so we'll bunch up this focus, get er' dun--rinse and repeat. We'll move onto other franchises with other creatures and such, don't you worry just yet! ^^
Kalypso Wrote:I'll be posting it on the "Polls" forum, where we will narrowed down heavily the Pokemon to whatever number we suggest.

We'll be narrowing down our results to a reasonably "do-able" amount of characters. I'm not going to lie to you, there won't be the entire franchise of Pokemon in-game, nor nearly the amount of Pokemon so far suggested--that's just too much work for everyone. Sure, hell, I love Pokemon as much as the next guy who enjoys hentai, but its not like we don't have other stuff lined up. Its just that I like to offer a lot of variety in choice--this being a lot of Pokemon--so you can second guess yourself just in case, and the whole community can decide from a variety and at a variable speed. This way, you can go at your decisions one bite at a time--slowly biting away those who won't make the cut--this is the healthy way to make decisions in the community by democracy, to avoid conflict, and smooth things out the right way.
On a positive note though, any Pokemon you might want to see in Krystal? ^^

Ahh. So it's a case of just being systematic, then? Well that's fair enough.

You mean in Legend of Krysta-...oh, very funny =p

I'm not very familiar with the franchise, I'll cast my vote when I know more.

Me and QQ have discussed this matter and made it clear what's going on with this thread. This thread is live again, and will continue its process ^^

Hmm out of the top of my head :P

Bulbasaur / Tangela - If you plan some kind of tentacle scene...

Always bee na big fan of dragonair

And last

Hypno !!!! :D

The dude rockes :P

PS fairly new here ;) and fairly new to adobe flash also (like totally but i am trying stuff out at the moment :D (like the bone tool which seems easy when you see the tutorials :p)

PS gengar is also fun but better to use the evolution between gengar and ghastly ... dont know what he is called :p

Three suggestions for males (No, no Gyarados xD):
1) Machamp,
2) Marowak,
3) Alakazam.

Oh, the evolution of Ghastly is Haunter, by the way. The Pokédex says: "By licking, it saps the victim's life. It causes shaking that won't stop until the victim's demise." Very suggestive, isn't it?

I agree with Bulbasaur/Tangela for tentacles, though Tentacruel would be fun too! Anything big and overpowering is good for me. The less human the better.

Tentacruel? Could you help me out, please?
By the way, what do you think about my suggestions?

FINALLY. Damn! Nobody else wanted to suggest Tentacruel? This whole time? You guys do know what hentai is, right? (lol, jk, jk...)
Hmmm... Machamp seems like a good pick--the only downside he is already very, very humanized for a Pokemon. However, he does have four arms. Maybe he'll have two...
Marowak is interesting, but he seems too koopa-esque. He'd have to be much taller and much more humanized, and I have a feeling that Marowak would be tall and skinny (which would just look awkward) so I'll omit Marowak.
Alakazam...maybe we could have him "spoon"...
When I think Pokemon, I think all the possibilities, so that's deal.

sileist Wrote:gengar? with the toungue and the atack confusion to persuade the enemys xD

Hmmm... A monster-sized Gengar could be kinda fun, and so could a Haunter. I'll add the two as a group.

Bulbasaur or Tangela could be used, but Bulbasaur (and the entire evolution set) and Tangela are usually referred to as female Pokemon, so I'm omitting them--sorry, we've already finished our female Pokemon.
Hypno's iffy, only because his "mad skills" also make him definitively mad. And he's sort of crazy, and I think he'd be a lot more of a joke fucking Krystal than anything at all.
Dragonair is also generally defined to be female. Sorry man, they need a bit more "man" or "beast" in them than I can add at the beginning of a sentence.

Cubone is the pre-form of Marowak, and we already discussed that one. Too much of a Koopa.
