Well, some way to avoid having all Pokemon of the same species and level have exactly the same stats would still be nice. It's just the link between EVs and the particular Pokemon you've previously battled that I object to.
Being able to specifically raise speed or attack by focusing on those during out-of-battle training, or having the particular tactics you use in battle affect how your Pokemon grow would be really cool. In the games HP Up/Calcium/Iron/etc use the EV system as well, and I think one of those has already been handed out to someone. It doesn't need to be the EV system from the games, but I do think
something to modulate the basic stat growth would be useful.
On the topic of the posts: two Flying Pokemon, both of which (probably) know Supersonic, and I didn't take the opportunity to give one of those berries to Tyr beforehand. This battle isn't going to go quite as well as the last one did, is it...
