It's great that you could show so much personality through their posses, but probably one of the most important things for me is their eyes Because it can really make the difference with making your character look more alive. The Back haired girl(is there a brunet equivalent for that?) looks alright but the blond looks like she's blind or is a robot staring off into space like that.

the models looks really spiffy, though I find the elf one a bit more appealing than the other renders. But, I think thats in part to a recent plunge I had into 'uncanny valley' over the weekend, and I still haven't gotten over it -,-

do a short animation involving one of these renders and an imitation of Sircus' models together and you'd probably be crowned 'master of the internet prons'

ELfelfelflefleflefleflefleflelfelfleflefleflefleflefleflelfelf. If you have any questions, feel free.

EDIT: Sorry yes, also I am rather keen on the eyes. Get them right and it's difficult to mess the rest up.

Ok here's my question for you. How much work is really being done by you in this and how much of it is the program doing the work for you? Are you making the models from scratch or are you given templets? what about the backgrounds? clothes, lighting, effects, how much is this is at your disposal to just rearrange, and how much of it do you have to actually with artistic abilities?

ooh, that'd really hurt if I was a slacker.. :D
I saw this coming with me learning everything so quickly XD

3D makes a shift from 2D in that you stop being the 'artist' and become more of a director,

character models start with a 'blank slate' female, you sort out all (groan) the proportions Bethesda/Bioware ~ish style,
skin textures are all done in-house, diffuse, glow-maps, bumps etc.

clothing is mostly third party, but that's a given - good 3D modeling is a (semi)professional job.
^ creating a sense of style when you mix and match them (and re-colouring some stuff  ) is about as involved as that gets.

..as for poses and lighting, I do those me-self.
there are presets, but nothing tastes quite like custom work.

but mainly, 3D stills are more about taste than skill.

..quite alot, really. but if you want to 'try before you buy' ...

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT endorsing piracy.

... there's torrents around. If you like it, be sure to pay for the copy you borrowed. if it's not for you, whatever, that's a sale that they wouldn't have had anyway.

care to elaborate?
that are meant to be made of that, after-all.

baby steps, I wanna get the basics down before I dive into animations.

Fabulous!!! I can't wait to see some animating. Also, have you anything planned on the Nova/Zerg project? It's been a while :(

Too fleshy? Any thinner and they'll be corpses. Looks pretty damn natural to me. Refreshing, though they are on the thin side of natural. Good for me.

... I was going to type something deep and meaningful, but was distracted (in wow) and lost my thoughts (seems to be happening a lot)...

Anyway, Images look good, and it looks like you're getting the hang of the program, but other then that, what are your long term goals with that program? If you really want to get into 3D, I suggest Max or Maya. Poser is great if you're just going to work with simple animations and simple character customization, but for true power, dive into Max or Maya (which reminds me, I probably should buy myself an update before its becomes too old to update).

Also, besides making some sexy images, (if and) how do you plan to use them? Any plans to make a game with them?... now that I look at the characters more... I'm starting to think the people over at Lesson of Passion are using the same program... if you haven't already, I suggest checking them out for more 3D ideas and implementations.
