A complicated solution to the mouse-click issue would be to have 2 different movieClips in the game; one that draw()s all of the visible area, and one that accepts mouseclick actions. The mouseclick movieClip would be visible but without content, and the main movieClip (used to draw) would be invisible. This would require significant coding, so this isn't a suggestion for you to carry out.

Yeah, that would be an annoying solution to the clicking problem considering that every sprite, menu and enemy is potentially clickable. It's much more preferable for the game to not have to know about the rendering, nor have to do anything different from normal to accommodate it. The rendering accommodates the game, not the other way around.

The main reason why this rendering trick isn't practical for this game is because graphics are such a major part of a hentai game. I want to be able to see the enemy characters in full-detail.

I see all this stuff you're creating for the game and it makes me excited for the next release. Would it be possible to get a status update or a change log now and then?

Also is/would it be possible to use a gamepad with this game or flash player in general?

There's also another option:
I can compile the game as an EXE that can natively read USB gamepads,
but that would require modifying the game's code a bit.

I also wanted to ask about that but then I remebered you can also copy it to the clipboard so my guess is that you have to copy your previous save and then load it through the clipboard option

Yes, I think it'll work. I'll have to test to see if any unexpected events trigger in earlier areas though.

Yeah, you'd probably want to do that anyway, just to be on the safe side.
I'm not certain, but I think Flash associates the saves with the exact filename and location of the game. So changing the name of the game's folder or moving it to a different location on the harddrive might affect whether Flash can find the save that belongs to it.

The Viridian school will work fine because it doesn't rely on any existing events.
I don't know whether or not the Viridian forest scene will trigger if you revisit it. I suspect that it won't trigger since I basically just replaced the previous camping scene with the new one. So if the game thinks it has already happened, it won't happen again.
Not too many things have changed that rely on the save variables. Adding graphics and animations won't affect saved games.
Some camera photos in the in-game gallery will probably go missing in an old saved game. I'm pretty sure I renamed and moved some of the pictures. An old saved game will look for the old pictures, whereas starting a new game will get the updated file locations.
