To while there are those out there that like to do speed runs, I find her suggestion of "under 100 seconds" to be a little off. Sure this isn't exact as of yet, but for some of these levels, it's really hard to get it under 100 seconds.

It's still possible to beat 100 seconds if the player is smart enough to check the correct positions of the logs, and if Peach is a raccoon/tanooki.
Anyway, I can increase to 150 seconds on larger levels.

VintageBass Wrote:Plus there's that little problem of the clock resetting whenever people lose a life.

Is that a problem? Could I remove this reset?

VintageBass Wrote:BLAZING FEET: Complete a level in under half the fastest time.
GOLDEN MUSHROOM EATER: Complete a world in under half the fastest time.

Possible but we need to define the 'fastest time'. And we might recruit a tester who will try to finish each level as quicker as possible, including the usage of raccoon.

I think this would or could be a problem for those achievements then, is what that meant. It may make them easier to get then you expect unless you add a 'and did not lose a life.' clause.

Whops, you forgot a QUOTE.
I dont prefer clauses in this case, so there are three people so far that prefer a non-resetting time.

Thanks for all the great work everyone!
I just have a few of questions.
1. Are there gonna be tentacle scenes?
2. Is it hard to put the newest scenes into the gallery?
3. Can the happy mushrooms be made into a scene?
4. What levels are the dogs located in exactly? are there any ones close to the beginning of the level?
5. During my battle with Birdo, I couldn't kill her. Is that because she is incomplete?

Yeah I haven't tried that as of yet and I could have gotten 100 seconds on World 4-2 if I wasn't busy trying to get to that one tree trunk above a Wiggler is (the one by the water towards the beginning of the level). So yeah a good portion of those levels can be beaten within 100 seconds or 50 in extreme cases.

DraconisOminous puts it best. It'll be easy for people to get the fastest time achievements thanks to losing a life and restarting at the checkpoint. Adding a note (or clause) about not losing a life would make it more likely to prevent players from taking advantage of the clock reset so they can get the achievement for it. It's like GTA IV when players put in cheats and that triggers turning off certain achievements thanks to cheating.

Exactly. As I said, once the game is done and all the worlds/levels are added, there can be a group of testers to go through and see what are the fastest times you can get per level. I say it'll be an average time out of all of them because we all have different play styles and different strategies on beating levels, much like those playing the older games. Also shouldn't there be a Striker time as well since that boosts speed?

I asked for that despite my dislike for them, and there is someone working on it. It'll come when it's ready.

There's where you find them.

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:5. During my battle with Birdo, I couldn't kill her. Is that because she is incomplete?

The scenes with her are not completed, but you can kill her. You just jump on her cum-covered eggs when she shoots them (really you just need one), hit the RUN button and then throw it at her. Use the same technique (minus jumping on the eggs because you can reuse the same egg) two more times and she's done! ... That and fireballs.

Thanks for saying thanks for all the great work everyone ;)

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:1. Are there gonna be tentacle scenes?

Yup.

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:2. Is it hard to put the newest scenes into the gallery?

Nope. I will do it soon.

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:3. Can the happy mushrooms be made into a scene?

Yup, planned.

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:4. What levels are the dogs located in exactly? are there any ones close to the beginning of the level?

VintageBass, some placements changed.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

1-2, 1-5, 1-6, 2-3, 2-6, 3-2. The closest one is in 1-2. Try to find it!

You can repeat a given level to see him again.

Minato FlyingThunderGod Wrote:5. During my battle with Birdo, I couldn't kill her. Is that because she is incomplete?

No. You have to do the same as SMB2: grab her egg and throw back on her.

*comes back*

And I was being helpful, after all. I did give him some sound advice on beating Birdo. By the way, your thoughts on my latest fastest time achievements comment?

We will see Peach taking a bath in x-naut base and using the toilet STILL TONIGHT.

Its simplier. I can detect if the player is starting from the checkpoint. If that's the case, no achievement for the fastest time.

Why not for example try to play it and wright the time of each level - than take some real value from it ? May be + some seconds to let player pass level more easy ?

If you want i can try to wright my time for each level.

It could be ;) Yes, just a couple of seconds (tolerance) to give more chance for the player.

Ivan, keep up the good work! Your thread has by far the most post activity, and you're on your way to highest viewership too!

Good work with the game, I was surprised to see how far you've gotten upon replaying it, though I presume X-naut base is still under construction because I was unable to get all the way through it.

Can not find old bugs - it mean that they are fixed and it is very good ;) But unfortunatly find one new bug - it is much more better then last time ;)

Levels / Time (seconds)
1.1 = 50
1.2 = 65
1.3 = 64
1.4 = 35
1.5 = 60
1.6 = 40
1.7 = 80

E.gadd Lab = 185

2.1 = 33
2.2 = 30
2.3 = 60
2.4 = 60 (But have a really hard problems with spikes in this level) - may be make them not instantl kill - and more like make damage - please try this level i think you understand what i mean. Camera drags some times and player lose life.
2.5 = 110-115
2.6 = 31
2.7 = 69

3.1 = 40
3.2 = 53
3.3 = 45
3.4 = 100
3.5 = 106 (90 with lowest quality) - waterfals as i think eats to much of CPU - may be make more light animation for them ? For example make background blue - and waterfall will ve just some little white shapes move - or some kind like that ?
3.6 = I do not know why - but after update this level start lugs - it works so slow - i think 1 fps per second on my PC - that i can not pass it.

X-naut base is working. You need just to follow TEC-XXX in order not to feel lost. In a given area, you need to go back to the lab (with test tubes) and to sleep in the bed.
The end of the level is in a room with a spaceship.

I can try to optimize them, I have an idea.

Did the LAG happen INSIDE the warehouse? It might be that background (boxes and metals).

All the level lugs. It starts when i enter the first dore (or even slows before it) and then all slows and start work very strange - like in very very slow motion mode.

I have not got any problem last time i test the game - i do not why it starts - i even try to reload game from the saved point after refresh the web page - but it still slows.

Thanks for the entire team efforts! MIM PUT is the 13th greatest adult game of the Year in Newgrounds (out of 108). If it doesnt appear, you have to 'tick' three buttons, leaving only 'A' activated.

Yes, it might be the background. Please wait for a fix.

Wow, you finished some levels around 30 sec!!
But....E.Gadd Lab = 185? That's not his lab, its X-naut lab! :lol:

Woo, congrats! That's really awesome to hear! This calls for a celebration! Feels odd seeing all of those MLP stuff on the list, but then again people have some bizarre fetishes...

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Time out! Uh, sorry but I would like to say that isn't this a bit hasty? Sure it's good to have something in place, but as I mentioned everyone has different strategies of getting through a level. Shouldn't we get other players' times as well from others before settling on just one set of time? Plus it'll be better to get more times for each level to get an average before jumping to conclusions?

I might make spikes harm Peach instead of instant kill. Anyone agrees?
