Welp, seems Fen is still working on CoC in between TiTS. Last I saw he was talking about how much email he had to answer, and the amount of work he was doing on TiTS; kinda assumed he'd be taking a break from CoC, but I'm pleasantly surprised that he's not.

TiTS (Trials in Tainted Space) is a project Fenoxo is starting using OffBeatr. It raised over $150,000, and funding will start on May 8th. Fenoxo has stated that he will begin development of the game then, but he's already started to look around for hired help in the form of writers, artists, and a secondary coder. When TiTS is being funded, Fenoxo will halt donation days, working full time (or more; he already works quite a few hours per week on CoC) on TiTS and CoC. There are probably other points I'm missing, but that's the gist of the situation.

TL;DR: Fenoxo will start making TiTS on May 8th. He doesn't have any code down, but has already laid a lot of ground work for the project.

It's like if a company released a game, and they had all these people twiddling their thumbs waiting for programmers to finish the god damn engine. They made DLC while waiting and once the game got released they release the DLCs free. Then they start to add stuff daily to the game that you would expect them to have in DLC.

Given the fact that Fenoxo used CoC as his main source of income and usually met the monthly goal in donations, I'm not suprised that TiTs went well on Offfbeatr.

I have to admit that I am surprised it dit THIS well. The last number I saw before Offbeatr closed the donations was around 183000 $ (US $ in case that was unclear) and there was still some time left. And if you look at the stretch goals, it is pretty impressive what he has planned for TiTs.
