take red dead redemtion as an example! after buying the game, there are add-ons to be bought (like undead nightmare along with some other things)

As far as I know, there already are some mods. You just have to crack your xbox and plug in a few cords to your computer to install them. Although it might be less complicated now.

Hmmm it might be worth a try if I could ever stop playing Halo 4 and Far Cry 3. It is a interesting idea though but if Microsoft did control it im sure it would be rather expensive DLCs like max said. But it's something to look into. Thanks guys!

GFWL is a shit system and they tend to be anal about what is allowed. Dawn of War II had to deal with bullshit microsoft policies up until Retribution where they dropped them.

I'm thinking of starting my own server, because whenever I run LAN servers it's basically me playing god, while everyone else is survival on a premade world to either fight each other or hordes of mobs. Once I made a boat, another time I made a small village (built off of an NPC one), both had chests full of gear and set spawn points, while I float around observing throwing the loosing players some stuff every now and then, while also trolling the fuck out of them with lots of creepers or zombies.
Think of it as a survival map on steroids, or just an survival map with a GM.
