And there should be a little shading under where the hair falls over the cheek (for depth)

Sorry for being critical, you've improved so much that I didn't notice at first.

Heh ^^ I like getting critique, helps me see what i did wrong n hopefully i learn the lesson for future ^^

I see em when you say em, thanks!

Im still in the babysteps on shading, especially when it comes to shading coloured pictures but I think im slowly getting there ^^

Something you might want to practice is blending opposite colors like blue (cyan) and orange, yellow and violet, or red (magenta) and green. Blending opposite colors will dull the greater color to create faded color. An example would be if you used a lot of blue and a little orange, then blue would be faded.
If you want to know what the color opposites are you could look at a color wheel or google it.

i notice that somehow i need these "brakes" so that i can improve, this brake tough was not intended, my arm is killing me. And i have no idea why (it is the right arm so no worry, im left handed) but it kills my mood to draw.)

So, my arm is slowly not killing me anymore wich means that i get my mood to draw back again, i just dont know what to draw yet, meaby more Cindy but i'l see what i do or dont do.
meantime little more of ninetails, made them, once i noticed that there is a poll goin on in humbirds topic and i dont want to loose ninetails D;
front.jpg
Something aint right on this one but i cant really put my thumb on it. Something with her right leg i think.

horny.jpg
i shouldve done something fancy with those tails but alas i didnt and i dont know why.

I need little brakes for improvment, that ive noticed but this brake was little too long, i just hope it didnt affect my drawing skills to much.

So,
I tried my hand at animating once more and here is the result, a basic walk cycle.
Click to Play
(Javascript Required)

Untitled-1.swf [ 6.76 KiB | Viewed 2482 times ]

In the end I got bored of walking, wich I think in the end is a bad thing.
Heh, now that i look at it, it isnt smooth at all :D
but then again i cant really say that ive been busy animating

When i draw a leg for example, how can i seperate it so that it can be animated? (leg with more detail than a stickman leg)

I need to learn to draw the same shape over n over, cuz that is hard for me, dunno why. Here you can see it pretty well i think.

It is a litle secret in flash. You make your model - for example stick man. Makes seporatly body - hands and head like movie symbols for example.

Then select all - and Right mouse Click (RMC) - seporate to layers.

Select all layers - RMC =) - and create basic animation or it named some kind like this.

Then you only need to animate few positions - the rest flash will do itself. ;)

I am now learning how to animate to - so ask me ;) may be i can answer some questions

Been experimenting on different hand styles and would like to know what peepl think.
img002edi.jpg

Should i focus improving something like this or should i go back to the more humanlike features with 5 fingers?

also, back training, plz help ^^
img003edi.jpg

in what to change and so on, or just point things out, you see the flaws better than me.

Also been very quiet for a long time again, seems like i cant really change myself
Plus i have armytime in little over 1 week so can be that il be even more inactive here during that time.

Next step is getting different lead hardness, learning to mix and match them, and grabbing a blending stomp. I might need to make requests of you.

Only real thing to point out that drawing (for me) would be that the neck looks quite flat (like your looking at a cardboard cutout sorta thing).
Not exactly a huge problem, but still.

I've been trying to use different kinds of pencils for different jobs like a really hard one for sketching and a softer one for "inking" and shading. But like you said, i should really start doing that and get more different kind of pencils.

Never heard of a blending stump before, checked some youtube vids and it seems to be really cool, its little like your finger but more accurate and there is not so big risk to get shit on your paper when you use it, need to keep my eyes open for those, appreciate it ^^

Aye, i see it too when you pointed it out, but i have really no idea how to fix it, well with shadows but how.

img141e.jpg

I want to really learn how to do shadows but the problem is that i dont know how. So on this picture im not that interested if its anatomaticaly correct, just interested bout the shadows and how they should go.
img142e.jpg

Heres one version i did. What should i do different?
I really dont have any clue bout how to shade the head, so anykind of help there would be deeply appreciated.

On another note. There is a chance that i will become quite quiet for some time. The army calls for me and i have to go there so i wont be having so much freetime during that armytime.. i think. We will see.

Finnish Mandatory Service? My friend Narts~su had to do that for a couple of years, he got stationed i a Radar Station all the way up in the north. Good luck, and don't start any wars with Canada =P. If you have time before you go, you could always draw your fox girl in an army uniform ^_~~<3

Very good, I noticed that in the last image though you completely defined the jaw, it really isn't a big deal but I never draw an entire line for it. If you want to try inking not many people do it anymore (I think). You could pick up the anime inking set from michaels, it's like 20$ and has 5 pens and a mechanical pencil that I can't draw without. It's waterproof, and not those brushes/pens that spread a little when wet, I used it with watercolor and coffee painting so it should work if you ever do that!

Heh :D Im lucky i dont have such a long way to where i will serve my bootlifting to my country and all that patriotic sheet, worse for my bro, he got over 500km to his bootlifting place.
And dont worry, I haven't planned on charging to Canada ^^ My gf wouldn't maybe like it so much if i drew her wearing a uniform because she is crying of me going to the army.
ISÄNMAAN PUOLESTA!.... just not really in mood for it but meh, if im lucky il be out in a half-year.

JESUS has answered!
Enough Christianity. And back to the task at hand, DRAWING!
But yes, but i don't really understand what you mean with that defining the jaw? Shouldn't I draw the whole jaw like that or should I skip somewhere, little like I do with the mouth?.
Also i should have maybe clarified a little more. I dont plan on using inking tools i just used to word because I was unable to find the "lining" word, lol.
I have some inking pencils, and let's just say it's not really for me, I managed to ruin a whole heap of paper cuz one of the pencils broke and spilled all the ink on the paper which soaked it up like a sponge and soaked the rest of my papers and table. So..yeah

JESUS has answered!

Believe it or not I'm actually a buddhist (needless to say I suck at it)!

I guess skip a little in the line if thats how you want to think of it, my thought is that 3/4 face and lighting coming from one side the jaw won't cast a shadow or a significant one at least, so the cheek and and neck would end up the same color, but I don't draw furries and might be wrong, thats just from my experience drawing manga/anime (idk what the style I try to draw in is).

Good for you! (religion is a dangerous thing to discuss but i say i don't really believe in anything)

Call me stupid or whatever but i dont quite understand what you mean with all that 3/4 face lighning and shadows (might be cuz ive had little liquid courage plus its almost midnight so im not the sharpest pen atm)
Mind doing just a quickie Paintjob on the picture i have above and meaby il understand then?. Appreciate it whatever you do ^^

Why do people get all hyped up bout religion anyway. It is pretty much something we humans used to explain the unexplainable things like the moon and the damn sun when we didnt even know that the earth is actually round dammit!. I should quit talking bout that religion, its not good for your health.
