A week before contact was lost with the space station, EarthGov received a secure transmission from their chief medical officer, It is as follows:
We have recovered a stasis pod floating in space, it bears the markings of the C.M.S Origami. It contains a young woman possibly in her late teens, covered in strange tattoos, we will attempt to wake her from her sleep and ask her how she got here, recommend send someone here to pick her up.
After the transmission no more messages about the woman have been sent except for a small log about her speaking ancient Sumerian

Bio: Cindy was a first-class engineer who used to operate on remote land-based vehicles as her job, moving from colony to colony, station to station as she received new contracts from EarthGov and, occasionally, special interest groups. She very briefly flirted with Unitology, long enough to join the first circle but found that she would occasionally receive requests to assist them above and beyond her paying contracts so, after a few months, left the church and dropped off the grid on a deep space assignment to a research station that had recently requested an influx of able-bodied personnel. Unfortunatly for her, the transport she used to get there had engine troubles, resulting in an incredibly prolonged journey...

Quick info on Dead Space universe. Humanity has discovered effective space travel with "shockpointing" to travel faster than light. They have outposts spread throughout the stars, and mining vessels destroying lifeless planets and asteroids in order to haul their goods back for use later. They are ruled by the EarthGov, who some people see as oppressive. There is a religions sect called the Unitologists who hold themselves above the law, but try to keep their operations hidden. They venerate Michael Aldman as their Prophet, and worship alien "markers" that resemble large stone pillars that twist around each other. These markers have the rather unfortunate effect of causing hallucinations and madness in anyone who is close to one, although it is much more pronounced by coming into contact with one. They also reanimate and mutate dead tissue into Necromophs which, it is assumed, exist only to make other living beings into Necromorphs too. So, kinda like space zombies!

Bio: Caroline has never been one to scoff at the advent of technology. When her engineering background to modify RIG models earned her distinction from her peers in her military career, she accept the rewards and responsibilities with pride. Having difficult maintaining meaningful social interactions outside of the work place, Caroline buries herself in her work, constantly pushing the limit of her physical strength and the performance of her suit. It was not long before her higher ups decide to test new RIGs using Caroline as an on-duty test subject. She currently sports an almost paradoxically heavy weight RIG modeled for agility. While her head and the extermities of her limbs remain heavily plated, her center is drape only in light weight and easily shearable material. In order to protect her body from blunt force trauma, her RIG has the interesting ability to send shock impulses to her musculoskeletal system, usually resulting in sever pain or the locking of limbs.

Concerning infection, Will it change how our characters look?

you know, speaking of infection. Why does it have to be an insta-kill? Can't someone just RP their character as a rape machine? And maybe (maaaybe) some kind of cure could be invented for them. either way if someone loses to infection I think they should choose if they want to quit that character or RP Necro boss.

Infection for females will cause your character to have a more curvy figure, but the skin color will become more pale. For males it makes their members grow larger along with their muscles, but their skin will become pale as well. Concerning infection death, I was considering just throwing away the perma kill idea with it and just make it so your will is lowered signifigantly.

just a heads up Looka, her RIG is pretty much already just a jumpsuit, except at her least vunerable points such as her forearms, shins, and feet. She also has a helmet but it is not heavily armored. So nothing really needs to be knocked off for her suit to be cut and exposed, her RIG is designed to be more protective against bluntforce.
