hey corta (and others) I got a question. Which one of these zergs do you like more? The one on the right is the accurate one, just like the one in the game. The one on the left is a little off from the one in the game, but I feel the one on the left would have more sex options to it, how it is higher off the ground, simpler, and kinda got t-rex arms instead of double legs.

But not sure, what you think corta?

I kinda like the one on the right too, it'll be more dog style sex/bj or etc, but could work.

it's gotta be classic on the right !

it's got better shaped hands and arms, (for grabbing, anyway)
back legs have a more favorable range of movement, (implied wink)
smaller -easier- tail,
arms connect to body in an easy way,
less moving joints in the hands, jaw-fangs and torso, (not sure how many joints to go for in the torso.. probably 3 so it can howl right... and that -other- thing..)

..and the whole size is overall less obscuring.

probably don't make the back pincers.. scythes.. blades? .. things look too sharp, they'll be used for fondling and anything else I can think of..

agreed, a non-bipedal baddie should mix things up a little bit.

having said that, the guy on the left would be an easy follow-up bad guy if Playshapes' ol' t-rex (whatever his name was) lines up well enough..
no rush though, I'm still going with your hydralisk ;)

ok mate.

just asking though, for the back "blades", would it be too much if they were dicks? or just armor in the shape of something that could penatrate, maybe like if she is sucking him off, the... errr... pokers go into her back holes. idk.

Basically I mean you want a dick like thing, or just smoother nonsharp armor point?

one more thing, do you wish it having MANY movable parts (like turnable toes for grabbing, and just more joints on it overall) or more simple with less sections too it?

for the blades, I think shaping 'em as weiners is maybe a bit too much -I do like the the idea, though-
perhaps a basic vibrator/test-tube shape?

and parts... if the front feet could be broken into paw and two nails (with a tiny section of flesh on the end) I can make a hand set.
for the kind legs, if the paw could be connected to the bottom-most part of the leg and have the nails on their own. they'll probably need to be animated separately all the time.

and as an 'I've-got-a-feeling-that' - it looks like his eye is actually placed where his eye-lid is..
makes him look like he's excited about the GREAT DEAL I'm getting on some home appliances

anyways..

I'm in the midst of re-modeling the skin on my template to have settings for different complexions.. (been meaning to do this for a while, new torso seemed like a good time..)

so, I've got..
basic: sam skin
pale
tan: liru & rikku's skin
blue from the dark elf
and shadow.

so, any other skin-tones people are interested in?
like dark-er dark-elf, hellfire red, drow, ganguro girl or any other weird stuff?

just asking corta, would it be too hard to put peach in? I really think she is pretty sexy personaly. Even if the peach is trouble because of her dress and etc. You could use my zero suit Peach I made if you want. just saying :P

the hair would look weird on a side-facing head, so it'd have to be the PlayShapes original or whatever we've got in the right perspective

I can't be sure what you'll be after, but point to it and I'll throw it in..

PS: the template is somewhere just past the function stage after the tear-down that a tone system required.. but it should be easier to add things to it, now.

the other metroid flashes (ridley, mother brain) flashes in the past pages of this thread

are you gonna every finish those? or will they be put all together with this starcraft one or something?

I am going to try to predict cortas reply.

For as a fellow animator I can relate. Working on one project too long can be stressful, and it is great to relax and work on a new small project in the mean time. But I am fairly sure he'll go back to the others later. maybe, lol.

that's true, but there's alot more to bouncing around projects..

for starters, I do get bored with some things..
maybe because I run out of 'good, useful & tasty' ideas, (I mostly animate from start to finish, a bad pose can be a pain sometimes)
maybe things get a bit fiddly, (ridley's hands, pirate claws)
or maybe the finishing steps are just lame stuff like sound and script.. (MBrain, ahoy, raptor)

plus, getting bogged down in the past can really upset progress on anything new (see: UrielmanX7's Mitsuko X nothing personal, but I was following this project a long time ago, and it hasn't moved much since)

being able to back off makes things -better- in the long run,

and in that spirit, here's what's going on in the template,

[THINGS I KNOW ABOUT]: there's no colour on liru and zelda's head parts & there's no armor on the back ('cept nova's)

New:
# new torso,
# skin-tone system, (had to gouge the whole damn thing to get this going)
# removed ALOT of the specs I've seen around the components

this is mainly a bug-check- if you see any problems, hate the colours or whatever, speak up
and no .fla till I kill off all the now-redundant movie clips..

Very good work - and interesting idea with Samus back and changing colours - how did you make them ? Some program code that change colour - or frames ???

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but the characters all use the selected skin tone. So when you go from Samus to the Dark Elf, the Dark Elf is a white chick.
Krystal, Samus, Peach, whoever; just rape a bitch.

Using the Rayne head, fusion tits, JBailey legs, and Jo Dark legs, with a few simple recolors you could make a good Jill Valentine.

Damn man! It's simple but I think this will open up allot more posses. It's also great that you did this with only changing one part of the sprite so there's not much to redraw. My only complaint is it looks like she has REALLY flat hips.
