Just played through the Chapters 3-5 again, this time the 'bad' side. And I noticed I never picked up on Velvets offer in the past, and thus didn't notice that there was that option, too.
Before I go to Chapter 6, with which I'll wait a bit to be sure the bugs are out (:D), I figured I should give the kind of superfluous feedback I forgot when I first found this:

The game is rather unique on this site in that, well, the scenes don't quite grip me that much, as in, I love reading through them, I wait for them, but they don't coerce the same 'reaction' from me as some other games here.
And yes, I'm quite linking the asshole side occasionally, even though I end up feeling bad about it. Dunno why yet.
Still, I found myself playing this game a lot, back when, and now (wasted nearly 5 hours on it yesterday), and I really play for the story. Hence why I asked to publish the rest of the story if you had given up.
It's rather unique in it's motivation of the main character, and that interesting hint of hidden politics is just ... unique.

I noticed you replaced the portraits of some characters with the 3d renders.
Love that part, though I am concerned that this potentially allows players to see who you subdue ahead of time.

Sweet, lemme try out this new fix.
While I'm too annoyed by the scenario to go through stuff all over again, and while I'm certainly still skipping the rest of the chapter, I DO want Cap'n Cunt's face raped off.
TIME TO SEE IF IT WOIKS.

I am successfully out of the house.

Winning.

Well, due to being less graphic, getting her face raped was actually LESS fun than getting her killed.
*sighs*
I assume I'll just have to wait for the "lol you can't win this battle" for the proper scene.

Nope. Even the "Can't win this" battle is actually a "can't lose this" battle. What a genuine annoyance.

And Xenia herself just earned a spot right next to Elektra's daughter with that Ogre stunt.

I suppose Cap'n Cunt's 1/4 of a Game-Over scene with Elektra will have to do.

A year for this?

Hahaha.

Foolishness, mere foolishness.

I don't know what else happens in this chapter, but it can by no means be remotely worth my time to find out.

I can only trust that we'll get back to the good stuff in due course, with a "Start from Chapter 7" prompt.

a few bugs nothing 2 annoying ^^ great game and nice work

->if you eter the inn move up to the 3rd floor? and go back to the bedroom your companion is still standing at the entrance and you can walk through her
->after picking up the sword and stay still the monsters will walk through you *at least the gargoyls

->an evil path would be interesting though :P

So, I'm going back and looking at the new content instead of working on my long-overdue thesis, because I'm a bad person and have nothing better to do.

Skipping to after I beat Juliet, because I've already said my peace about all this... well, everything.

Oh, I guess I have ONE comment: huh. Jacob's a lot less pretty than I remember from later. Kinda weird when the peasants can't marry for love, but eh. Whatyagonnado? Someone's got to take up the Herculean task of making these Night people look kinda sympathetic, even if their awful boss never will be.

...Hmmm. That's... a much better scene, really, than the one it replaced. I mean, much as I liked it in a vacuum, it didn't really work with the narrative. Good change.

I don't remember if Juliet admitted to having been raped by her old boss last time. If so, I wonder what Yolande thinks about it? Either way, geez. I think we might be five for five on the "rape backstory" counter. Though a bunch of those hits are just speculation on my part. But, again, good change. I like the new bit from a narrative standpoint, and I commend you on making it work.

Will try the latest version soon, but i would like to ask if the paths of good/evil whatever are more visible now and accessible? Last time I tried this was way back when it started, and it didn't seem like the paths were very easy to figure out if you were on it or not.

Nothing had really changed on that score.

There are only two noteworthy "path" decisions in the game so far. The first is whether you force Juliet to deepthroat you in Ophelia's house, and the second is whether you accept Velvet's offer at the Arcanum or refuse. The Juliet decision has (and will have) some lingering effects up through Palmova, but will end up being reversible, depending on how you play your cards. I don't really have any intention to do anything like color-code the good/evil decisions a la Mass Effect.

The bandit leader actually didn't get that far before Juliet applied sword to gut (or if it reads that way, I should go back and change it). I'd been intending to go back and change that one for a while, but at the time that I originally wrote it I was trying to ensure an equal number of H-scenes for both "good" and "bad" Darius. Anyway, over the past year I had plenty of time to go back and redo it. I did that scene last summer. <_<

Actually, a lot of the current Chapter 6 stuff was done last summer. There's a bunch of half-finished stuff currently in the files for future versions.

Started completely over so that I would remember what was going on and have noticed two errors in the prologue.

First, during the dialog with Elektra, in her human form, at the inn, at one point it refers to her as Elektra instead of woman before her name has been revealed. Can't remember the specific line right now though.
Second, during the scene with the captain in the dungeon the image is a closeup of of her face, and by closeup I mean extreme closeup. All you can see is the upper right hand side of her face.

A thought occurred to me, something that I realized when I went into the menu during chapter six. Xenia's weapon and armor can be unequipped, something I'm sure she'd object to. I had the thought that perhaps a small thing could be thrown in (for the hell of it really) that if you try to do so she says something along the lines of "Ah ah ah" or (cookie for those who get the reference) "....."


Also, I think it would be cool if she could give in and join the others during that cult ritual thing in the city.

It'd be really great if you could host you file somewhere else, just because right now there's a lot of hoop-jumping. Most importantly it won't let you DL in private mode/incognito, so even after I delete my history there's still probably some incriminating files floating around someplace. Anyways, not life or death, but just putting it out there. Thanks!

edit: Hey Seyser Koze, I was just wondering. Will you ever post a tutorial video? Or if you don't want to teach people, maybe just a "spectator"-view of you when you're working on things?

Kind of like how artists sometimes will have a video of their computer screens as they slowly go through the different stages of drawing, but sped up 4-10x faster, so that the video shows about 4 hours of work in 5 minutes (ex: http://youtu.be/k3oPwJ34l7U)? Such videos are more of a "documentary" type of thing, rather than a "educational" kind of video, you know?

I've recently asked another game-creator the same thing, but he's understandably busy so he could not produce this sort of thing. I was wondering if you might have time to show people how to go about coding, or your thinking process, and etc? I'm just curious, and thought this might be something fun to see :D

I'll answer questions, but there's not much about my "design process" that could be gleaned from watching a video. It's been very much a case of "add shit to the game as you need it" without much in the way of advance planning. I have things mentally charted out, but aside from writing a few scenes' worth of dialogue on paper during downtime at work, there's not much there.

EDIT: Anyway, no ETA on the next version (although hopefully a wee bit sooner than this version was), but here's a couple of preview pics that may or may not actually be new.

So far I'm really into the story aspect of the game, more so than I thought I would be which I think is pretty interesting. Got to Chapter 4 I think.

Either that, or she's a prophecy's bitch. She must have heard some prophecy somewhere about the destruction of the kingdom, so she tries to avoid it by following till one point where she will try to nip it in the bud. Obviously she pulled a Voldemort and just fucked herself by self-fulfilling the damned thing.
