I would think you could but that's not good sport you would think and kinda rude to the pokemon. only thing is I know it didn't work in the game and it never happened in the show.

I thought I'd addressed this before, but that may've done that on Skype so I'll do it here: You can, but the Pokemon you do it to WILL NOT be happy with you for doing it. You remember Ash's Charizard and/or a Pokemon you traded with your friend that you didn't have the Badge for? It'd be a lot like that: The Pokemon wouldn't listen to you often and what few times it did would be to save its or your skin. So yes, you can, but I REALLY wouldn't recommend it since it'd be a LONG time before the Pokemon warmed up to you.

Well. Can you start posting the pokemon's hp? For example, 3/10, 7/7, 23/25 Etc.

That'd require me to start really doing math. What would a Zigzagoon's health be at level 3? It's defense and attack? What about Mudkip's be currently? So I'd either have to do extensive research on the system already in place in the games and then tweak it as needed and then, when I'm done with YOUR battle, I'd have to apply it to ALL future battles since it just wouldn't be fair to do it for one person. That or come up with a bunch of stuff of my own, something I frankly don't have a lot of time to do. Either way would increase the amount of time it'd take to post by a lot and wouldn't be nearly as fun as I'm having now. And really, the instant this stops being fun for me as well is the instant this thing dies.

Actually, I know its been some time since I've actively watched the show itself (though I still play the games) is there any actual sign that anyone actively sells pokemon for a living? Granted, there's that crazy person selling Magikarps, but I don't think he counts.

The closest thing they have to selling pokemon is buying them with the coins you win after gambling. Or you just buy enough coins.
