Totally agree with that, there is no need in making her smoke, at least not in my point of view. It would change the characters personality, more like a hooker and less like an "innocent" princess generating and accumulating lust in each scene.

Personally - in a world where they already have magic mushrooms, weird potions that change your size, and horny monster I have to question.... Wouldn't cigarettes be the Boring alternative in comparison? I also agree that they're not likely to exist. Unless Mario brought them there from our world....

Meanwhile, I still would like to see a mario bros game where they include the original Mario game as a minigame.

Lemme just go with if it was a trashy whore style, maybe, but that would more likely be something for one of the enemies to do, rather than Peach. And for the hooker outfit I'd have to make an entirely new mouth clothing piece (because of the way costumes work), and I'd rather wait until I've decided to work on character customization options before doing that.

And some major news: I'm going to be working on MiM PUT as a dedicated animator. So this MiM DO version will not be updated (except for bug-fixes) after I'm finished with the Lady Bow scene.

Aside from Ivan asking, I'm doing this because the rest of my plans for the game were to use resources pretty much exclusively from MiM PUT (starting with the desert, deep underwater, and the sub). Since I don't really see that as fair (no matter how much Ivan assures me it's okay), I'm going to earn my keep there, so that when I come back to MiM DO I'll be able to dump everything in one go and not get so caught up in the major details.

The main reason why I won't be developing MiM DO at the same time is that it requires time that I don't have to do both. And since, like I said, my plans were to use resources already developed in MiM PUT for the rest of the game, I can just focus on making animations for MiM PUT and then port them back into MiM DO later. Otherwise, every new area, every new gameplay idea, every new NPC interaction is taking away a lot of time that could be put into making new scenes now.

Of course, while I'm away, the FLA will still be available for anyone that wants to take up development or score some resources. And I'll always be available to help with bug-fixing or explaining where things are or how they interact.

I'm not saying goodbye to MiM DO. I'm just doing work on a specific area of it for an extended period of time without updates. And then I'll be back to complete the game.

Update for February 9, 2013:
- Added Hooker costume by ClaraMennington.
- Added Lady Bow by Blargh as a playable character.
- Your movement speed at the time of saving will now be returned on loading the game.
* I really mean it this time!
- Fixed up the platforms in the Ghost House so all movement speeds should be able to make it to the end (except Poison, but why would you even?).
- Added the Lady Bow scene to the Ghost House and to the gallery.
* Of course, it's still not finished.
* The gallery scene is under Other Scenes for now. I'll make a new category some other time.
* The do-over for the scene is also buggy. If the scene doesn't start but Peach is missing, press down again until it works.

So, uh, some technical issues got the way, and now it'll be another week before Lady Bow is finished. >_>

Let me explain how the MiM PUT system works. Princess Peach is the main character and will have scenes, scripts and story progression.
Eventually, characters like Daisy, Rosalina, Pauline and Krystal will also be playable, but in a lesser form. The scenes will be the same, but some special scenes will not be available. There MIGHT be script, but that isn't clear yet.

Let's just say you are playing a lesser version of the game, but with a different looking character. Kind of like how you could play as Richter in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but there wasn't any story progression anymore.

But I would like to ask, why do you find it so tiring to play as Peach only? You play as Mario (or Luigi, but there isn't any story in SMB anyway) in Super Mario Bros. only too.
And in almost any pornographic game you'll play as one character. You do the same in Gorepete's Dusty's Castle, or Sakyubasu no Tatakai.

If the only thing you are looking for is an aesthetic change, then you will get that eventually in MiM PUT. That won't be till much later though, but with Blargh's help, we can get there faster. Please be patient.

Yes. Princesses characters and Krystal are planned. It gives the game a true Mario feel, thats why I limited the characters.
But, if you are playing with, say, Daisy, the scene that happens with Daisy and Peach in World2 palace will not be done, as you are now Daisy and Peach will be doing anything else in other worlds.

Its also planned to have more costumes. I miss:
- Wedding costume (like SPM), but , of course, Peach is not marrying anyone in the game (except Mario in the end).
- Apron only thanks Luftmallow!!
- Leopardess outfit (Sigurd reference. Life raccoon/leaf, Peach will be able to fly, but Peach will be always horny)
- Yoshi costume
(Lower priority below)
- Transparent Bodysuit costume (Misty Gen2)
- Slave (for prison scenes), but low priority and yet requires brainstorming.
- Biker Pink and Biker Orange.

If Luftmallow or a loyal designer can help me making frontside/backside poses of those clothing (I can show them where to draw), I can add these immediatelly.

In the future, once Blargh makes the inverse I did (a fork) , and once Luftmallow or others can contribute making frontside and backside clothes, Blargh can have all 47 current costumes in his game.

I agree. But lets not forget, we will DO have more peach styles as well (like 'tanned' and 'dirty' -> this one happens when Peach is, say, dirty with mud). The priority now (for me) is the levels and more enemies. We already have plenty of space to have new scenes. And soon I'll be adding dramatic scenes (that is, camera will move and zoom in/out). This will happen for start scenes (like when Peach is still embarassed). For normal scenes (goomba 1, 2, 3, 4...) there will be buttons (CAM1, CAM2, CAM3, CAM4). You can control how you are seeing the scene. But this will be made later, and this wont impact any animation scene. Its an addon.

Possible! But I'm really not good at brush drawing, so I let the frontside/backside poses of those clothing for the creators to draw. Although I'm 'addicted' to pen tool and I can make some interesting art, I admit working with it is toughter, and thats why I keep some art untouched (with brushes). I only change art that can be improved/looks better in pen tool mode.

I think he just wants the character, not a costume. Since Emo Rosalina has the same skin tone as Rosalina, it's just a matter of copying all of Rosalina's parts (when Rosalina is eventually added), re-coloring the hair (and a little adjustment on the size of the bangs), and replacing the star earrings with skull earrings. The crown, eye color, and nail color are all also the same.
