For the most part, I agree with Sugar, cept I find RPing as colab storywriting, but people should learn to let things happen to their player. Like this one guy I knew when I first started Rping here, he was all like "noooo, dont do anything to my character" and I was all like "come on man, half the fun is failure" but there was drama and after a short while he left the forum and I haven't seen him since.

So ya, hardcore, but Sugar said it perfectly when she said don't let our characters get too fucked up to the point of it being unfun to play. Except that whole personality change I don't agree with, you made a character, having them completely change is kinda too hardcore.

I prefer "Not too far" or "Hardcore", but that's just cause I'm rape bait. And I think your character should change, but they shouldn't be any major changes. And even if they are major changes, it has to happen slowly. Cause I'm pretty sure you don't change personalities in one day.
Seriously gonna stop being Rape-Bait

Ah, I may be a bit late on this but is there any more room? If so, I'll edit this post into a character sheet.

Thermal blanket

Backstory:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

A subject of occasional campfire conversation is the terrifying possibilities of the appearance of mutants upon the gene pool, and in what ways they may further evolve and interbreed. Generally, the speakers are less articulate, instead saying things like; "What if'a siren and one of those croc things had a kid? That'd be freaky.". For better or worse, that particular question has been answered with the birth of Ziba. The product of a siren seducing a croc then having been knocked out (and up) before the brute was finished dying, Needless to say, hers was an unusual upbringing. With her father dead (Having been drained the rest of the way when the siren re-awoke), Ziba was left with only her mother as an example. Admittedly, the mutant took surprisingly good care of its offspring, but the fact remains that a murderous nymphomaniac does not make a stable parent.

It was in a nomadic environment filled with constantly replaced "caretakers" that the young abomination developed, learning the basics of survival from the occasional unlucky man or woman captured by her mother's illusions. It was through these temporary mentors that she learned of the outside world, and it was they who fed and clothed her as her siren mother knew nothing of feeding through physical means, and still less of why anyone should wear clothes. Her education was lacking in many ways, lacking any consistent or reliable academic teaching, but she soon learned enough to survive independently. When one of her many instructors broke through the deceptions of the siren, she got her painful first lesson in how to fight. By the time she was ten, she'd killed three men in single combat and had learned from her mother how to consume the minds of other living beings. When she was fifteen she'd begun to wander out on her own with regularity, hunting man and beast alike when she grew hungry. It was on her way back from one such adventure, now seventeen years old, that she discovered not only her father's brand of camouflage, but also that the world didn't like mutants.

When she finished killing the small band that had hunted down her mother, she struck out on her own. It's been two years since then, and she still practices at being civilized with the occasional traveler she captures. One day, she plans to find a way to make humanity pay, but she can wait. She needs to learn more about civilization before she can properly destroy it.

Ohhh, a mutant player, this could be interesting if LD accepts it.

I have no problem with you being a mutant, I think it's a great idea ^^

Skill wise I can see her having the following:
1. Keen sense
2. Great hand to hand combat skills (agility and claws)
3. Great stealth (camouflage)
4. Better resistance to radiation
5. Some mutant types will be more friendly towards you (crocs and sirens in particular) other may be hostile though

However you might have somethings to consider:
1. Need radiation to survive (highly radiated area will kill you eventually but being a mutant has caused your body to become dependent on small doses of radiation. Either eat radiated food or go to areas with low level of radiation).
2. Human npc (or players) may be more hostile towards you, seeing you as a mutant

I'd like to see your backstory. Would you say that your character is intelligent? I doubt you had the idea of her being a mindless mutant but I want to make sure.

I think I can work with those. Maybe some psychic feeding (Helpless opponents only, perhaps?), and as a tradeoff to match that having a strictly carnivorous diet? And yes, I was hoping to make a character with at least basic intelligence. I'd think more "cunning" than wise or smart, though. As to backstory, which would be more convenient for you inserting the character into the story? Already out in the wastes, surviving, or in a town as a bounty-hunter?

Pick whichever you prefer. I have a good idea of how to start it if your out in the wastes but being the bounty hunter sounds good too.

If you pick bounty hunter will you be apart of the merc corp or no?

Halfway there. It's late over where I am so when I wake up in the morn I'll post it up.

-A little note
If a player initiates "sleep" then I won't post their next IC until they awake. Some players might wake up sooner then others from things such as "being awakened by gunshots".

Take your time. It's not worth cutting corners to save a few minutes, in my experience.
