How do you beat level 1-5 "Platty"? Is there some kind of trick?
I get all the way to the warp tunnel where the map stops moving, but can't move any further... i've tried back-tracking to the start but then the map starts moving again... Hurr.

You should go to the pipe, then you go the castle and you finish the level.
If you have any problems with the pipe or around the area, please be specific, so I can check.

My problem right now is a collision problem involving boundary. But fortunatelly, its not with the uploaded SWF. However the bad news is that's the problem with the future 1.8.11. I'll have to fix that first.

Its not that hard, trust me. It can be even quicker than brush. But I still use brush to make the sketch: e.g. I paint a castle roughly, using black. Then I create a new layer and start drawing using pen.

No I mean I prefer the line tool over the brush then the brush over the pen tool. WHen I say I make things by hand, I mean I make a straight line for each side and manrualy curve it with the mouse, here just some stuff I've done with it for my pokemon project (ps, unfinished bits)

I only started using the brush tool to match playshapes style, but to be honest I much rather prefer the clean line style.

Hey, that's pretty good, really!! Yes, you can use line tool with curve additions. I use pen tool because you can close a shape, then paint it. Using lines, you cant do that. You still need to make a shape (using pen or brush), to close it (like a face) then paint it.
Also, with pen tool, you have total control or any shape, closed or not. But again, you dont need to rush to learn it.
But we could get interesting results with it. Say, converting a 1000 curves/points shape (by brush) to only 50 curves (by pen). And it will be much cleaner and with the possibility to paint each closed shape.

I got bored of making boring enemies, so I decided to fuck off and throw this boss together, hope you like it. (from papermario wii)

Fun part is he is way more detailed then his original version :P

P.S. I am not much of an animator, but I animate it a bit before hand just to give rough idea how it moves, you are always more then welcome to fix stuff like the odd blinking eyes and etc

(for you who never played this boss, he is roughly 6-12 times taller then peach in scale)

Well I almost put a dick on his head instead of a thingy, Idk I just figured you can have him go under ground and have dicks poke out of the sand and go shark fin style across the sand going at peach. :3 Like I said, I was bored

He can appear in the level of desert land, just before airship ;)
I will make Peach yell with those nice sounds 'ohhhh', when that big dad decides to show himself.
I got it!! Like.....like hmmm... those... SMORGS? But instead of them, any small enemy with dicks? Say, 5, 10,15 appears in, then some fuck Peach?

Quiz can give a better idea too.

Also, if it was up to corta, he would have a way to damage the boss untill it gets "dizzy and fall" and you can either goomba stomp it or fuck it.

Maybe you can make a area with vegi's that you pull out of the ground keep growing, so you pick up stuff like radishes and the likes and toss it at him.

As for animation, its not so easy for me to make it dizzy, but for sure I can code this, using stomping, veggies...

Yes, thats it! I would make an area full of veggies like Duke Nukem Forever's ammo crates. You will see tons of veggies in a heap, so its unlimited. Peach can grab more and more veggies and throw at him. I already have an algorithm to deal with excess veggies, to maintain game performance.

oh if you suck at animating, I don't mind helping out, I can make him dizzy. all you need him to do is fall onto the ground with X_X eyes and little stars running around. If you remember from the game he is fairly silly, so not really out of place

Well, lets say I'm level 6 of animation skills (10 is the mininum to be on average and people say: Ok its decent!). All right, Thank you! Well, lemme first do my job , as I want to put him in a given level and code the hit/dizzy/dead lines, then I may put placeholders indicating he's hit, etc, and you can make whichever animation you think it should be nice.

I may use 'reposition of Peach while tweening her until getting to TARGET before scene1,2,3,4', that is, I will code a way to make peach smoothly get grabbed/pulled by him. Because you know, in some games, when the character are, say, 20'' from him, he can detect her and do a given scene. The same if she's nearer, say, 10''. That difference will make us see she 'warping' to the scene target. This must not happen.

But please stop making big monsters for a while. Otherwise, our dear ditzy Peach will be in a BIG trouble :P I really need to pay more attention to classic Mario enemies, like Chuck. He will be a bad guy. He has a frontside and side pose.

So, this can happen when a given scene starts, because nearly all games hides the character and makes a scene with her correctly placed.
The problem is, if Peach is too near from him (more at right), both will move right. If she is too far from him (left side), we will se the whole group at left.
The problem increases with bosses, because they are generally in fixed places (like confined bridges).
So, depending on those offsets, the boss will be placed over ground or walls.

We dont want that.

So a workaround is to make only her move, using code, from OFFSET to the X we want, so she will walk in a smoother way until X, THEN the action will happen. it will be like he's pulling her first. "GET OVER HEEERE'.

Another one? Mario Mage? Wow! You're fast ;) But...What does he do?

Me? At least I will create him and whith a FLESHY option too (I'm not bored yet) :mrgreen:

The Cataquacks look really nice. What's the plan for the sex scenes for them?

Also, can you get started of the Daisy model? You can use the Playshapes for them time being until you complete the model.

Ok so she'll stop moving out of the blue, even when while jumping. Even if "L" is being held down. (single left Right hand control)

Thanks! Well they are like robots, they dont have eyes, so they may run towards Peach for quick sex scenes using their sixth senses. They will run very fast if Peach is aroused, then they may go away, also running. I would like to know if those guys can be stomped like goombas.

Let me at least finish level 2-6 and the second airship. I may not last long on these. Actually, as I've said, I can make a new level per day. But I've done so much parallel things and I'm still chasing bugs. those take time unfortunatelly :/
When I add Daisy, she will be put in the game as a playable character, even if the game engine still uses Peach dialogues. THEN I will put Daisy as NPC because that will be easier.

What castle?
I get to that fist pipe, the world stops moving but i cant go any more to the right. All there is is a Cherry... I've tried jumping at the side of the map, tried going down the pipe... nothing works. Just stuck next to the vine pipe, nothing beyond, no castle. I really want to see more of this game past 1-5...

Like, the pipe i'm talking about has a bitey plant thing in it... can't go down it.

I completely agree with you Quiz! Therefore, I will just post it here in as a spoiler.

I don't remember who said it about Ivan not doing more outfits, this is just an idea I had after I saw this picture and thought about it as an alternate to the x-naut outfit. I don't dislike the x-naut outfit, this one would just simply fit as an alternate. Ans of course I don't think this is going to be made in a day or anything.

Oh yeah, I tried out the Single Right Handed Style of play. My hand felt very squished and I feel like the "u" and "i" buttons need to be switched. I feel as though the run button should be the ";" key so that your pinky is being used to run instead of your index finger.
