i would like to start by saying "TOPIC 300, WOOOO. what is this madness? this is SPARTAAA!"
didn't see an introduction thread, so i figured there'd be no harm in making one.

I'm curious to see what new talent is coming in. i see work from this forum all over the place and i would like to become part of it, contributing my ideas and talent wherever possible. My specialty is music. i'm working on some collaborations with my close friends and i would like to post my finished work (when it's finished) here for public use. I play technical and melodic metal, as well as rock/blues and a lot of acoustic scores that would fit well in fantasy rpgs. let's face it, half a good game (and more than half the filesize) is the music. capturing emotion with the right kind of music makes your work stand out all that much more. we can discuss more specifics once i post something.

i also know a bit with flash, and i'm not bad with a brush either. never programmed a game, but i have made a few hand-drawn flash animations that you WON'T see here. sorry but i do have some work to do on my animations. it's one thing to draw a good picture and another thing to make a good animation.

anywho, a shout out to all the n00bs:

Hello! Welcome to the LOK Forums.

There has been talk about starting an introduction thread, but that never happened. Good to see you're taking initiative.

I do believe we have pretty much no music talents on this forum, so it is nice seeing one. And yes, I completely agree, music can make, or break a game.
Now, it sounds like you would want to post a lot in the creative corner (as do I) and in the Non-flash part specifically. That's where all the RPGmaker games are located.
I don't follow that much myself, so you're best off just taking a good look.

I might be asking a little too much here, but why exactly are we not allowed to see your animations? This IS an 18+ site, so pretty much everything is allowed that isn't illegal, or very much looked down upon. If it's a matter of personal preference, that's fine too.

Finally, to stay on-topic, I've been on this site OFFICIALLY since August 2012, but I've been lurking around for months. One specific thread on this site led me to making an account and I have been actively posting since then.
Though I cannot draw, animate, or code, I can write a bit. I contribute my writing ability to Ivan-Aedler's MiM PUT thread in the creative corner. That would be all.

However, why did YOU make an account on this site? It would be nice to answer your own question first, you know

Welcome to the lok forums, it's always good to see new people join and starting to contribute in the creation of games/ animations (also, in the discussion area, there is a thread for those who want to help testing/ making games).

I hope you get settled in and acquainted with people, if you play minecraft you should be welcome to our server (just ask berserkerhorn)

thanks for the warm welcome. i'm here because i'm a fan of many of the artists' here and have been "enjoying" the efforts put out by this site for years without knowing exactly who made these flash or where it came from. by becoming part of the community i can express my gratitude, give creative feedback which would be exciting to see implemented in a flash, and in time, contribute to a team when i am satisfied with the work i put forth.

which brings me to why i won't post my juvenile flash works: they're just not good, most over 3 years old and i'm not satisfied with them or interested in sharing them. don't worry, you're not missing out. i will post when i feel ready to.

Awesome, we needed a music expert. Every great game can be identified by its music. Anyway, welcome to the forum. Who am I? Well, I started lurking about a year ago and joined a few months ago. I then started a collaborative choose-your-own-adventure story based on the original Legend of Krystal game, which is being updated regularly. My talents, such as they are, lie in writing, editing, and ideas.

Music is certainly something great. Have you worked with looped music before? It seems to be best for making continual musical accompaniment for games.

I actually joined within the first year of the project but lurked for almost six months before that so I've been here almost since the beginning and I gotta say I love this place and the atmosphere (the porn is nice too) I particularly love the Roleplay section of our little forum and we have many talented writers there mayhaps you could become one of them!

Well Thae.... Sorry but i'm not totally at fault for this. as for the PM's .... why the fuck do you get the mass spamming of PM's? Also why the hell would people think you'd know my gender. It's clearly on my profile as she male; which I believe would be more accurate then anything you could offer to anyone. Sure you could make a inference but really it's all guess work. I think Hailey asked me about my gender, and that's the only PM i got about the subject.
