I'd actually like to THANK the people who posted in here recently. I was able to find a lot of nice flash in here as well as plenty of laughs. I wouldn't have known that this existed otherwise.

So.....ummmm......

Thanks!

I thought this game was pretty cool, but I'd say a remake/reinvisioning would be better than a continuation.

OH, right... there used to be a tremendously useful stickied thread in this forum I think... It had links to various complete or incomplete works from the forum.

I'm pretty sure it was called the "Depositorium", but when I check out the thread with that name right now, it seems not to contain any links at all.

I guess something must have changed when I wasn't paying attention, but that one thread which linked .... much of - if not all of - the content in this particular forum would be a pretty cool thing to see around again.

I totally agree. I first saw this project a couple of years ago on various sites, not knowing where it originally came from, I am actually not surprised at all to find the source being gorepete XD. this concept is extremely interesting and could easily become one of the top games featured on this site. What needs to be done is a start from scratch, with a clearly envisioned goal from square one. This project was more or less continued in Cortasplatformer, but that is now a totally different game. The concept of samus being the protagonist in an actual metroid-based game is very interesting, and so far it has not been done on this or any other site a far as I know. the concept of gameplay should be the same as an actual metroid-vania type game, with free roaming being in focus, no slowing character customization, focus must be on the areas and various enemies and power-ups. I hope this project may continue one day, because once it does, it is sure to develop into something awesome!

Which would tell me that if someone were to decide to take it on as a project, it'd need a new thread anyway.

Wow I didn't know Metroids had such long appendages (samus fun 2).

Thanks for making this list, I just love seeing her on the receiving end once in a while, especially with Ridley :)

It's fine. I've got Ridley, just looking for the complete Mother Brain. (I keep finding all these copies of her as either a work in progress or the newer version.)

The idea in the Thraur, Samus Platformer, that she collects DNA from the aliens she has sex with in order to get a cure, is by far my favorite. I hope to see similar advancements in that same story line. I would do it myself but i have neither the technical skills in flash and other software or even the money to get the flash game maker.

Well due to my inability to find Mother Brain, I redrew Ridley from top to bottom with fancy new parts and everything (I can't believe you lot let me get away with the shoddy work I'd turned out the first time). All that's missing is his tail. Will be done by Wednesday. DEADLINE SET!

Wow, it gave me a big smile on my face, to see that this thread had been moved into the sub forum of flash projects and that you, Gorepete, the legendary creator of so many enjoyable games responded to my post in such a way as to induce what only can be described as "great anticipation" at the prospect that you are already working on this very same idea! let me know if there is anything i can do to help!
