Their forum site has been discontinued for a while now.

Yandere translations did Sengoku Rance, but they never translated any of the other ones.

You should be able to get the translations via the Alicesoft wiki. They have a list of all the translation projects going on.

Rance I is pre-patched. I don't remember how it was with Rance II though, but I can remember it was quite a hassle getting the game to run.

The screen moves automatically by default but you can disable it in the options menu. Anyway, if there is a bug, please explain better.

Earlier, I had an idea for Pauline. Pauline is associated with Donkey Kong and that should stay that way.
So, Pauline (our little whore) will appear alongside Donkey Kong. The start-up of a scene could be like this:

I just checked as well and WOW, were they fast on this.
Mediafire does indeed pull content if it's pornographic in nature. Surprising, considering the high amount of porn you can find on it.

Rance I is still up, so that's good. They probably didn't catch it yet. I think Rance I got so many downloads that it got noticed by Mediafire. I sincerely hope the subsequent releases will be uploaded elsewhere.

I wish I could tell you a new download link, but the problem is that the site where all the discussion is being kept on is currently under maintenance. I'll let you know when something happens.

I don't know what it is, but this scene doesn't feel "right" to me.

There are some odd bits. First of all, Mona doesn't actually make pizzas, she delivers them.
Second, why would Mona ask Peach, famous royalty, to go wash the dishes for her? Wouldn't there be other people able to help out? Mona's Pizza is always brimming with people, so Mona should've come prepared.

Not that this is a bad scene, it just doesn't seem to fall in line with Mona's character to me. Also, Mona's super nice, she wouldn't girl 'rape' anyone... would she?
Can anyone else please comment on this? I'm feeling a bit awkward here.

Hey everyone, I am experiencing a rather annoying bug. I am unable to complete World 1-2 I got the key by fucking the Goomba and I gave the key to Toad, he then said blabla something The doors are now open but when I try to enter the castle door it won't let me... Any fixes for this?

However, Pauline can be in the game as a non playable character (NPC). If people want to play like her, I'll have to make her based on Peach body style. If its not necessary, I can make a better Pauline (just like her real body proportions).

She worked in an Ice cream store and a pizzeria, she has her own successful band, is the top cheerleader for the Diamond Roughs and has even been an archaeologist. So putting her in a scene where she takes the initiative is impossible, to say the least. Mona is like Peach, she isn't a sexual character in terms of personality.

Maybe we even have to go as far as to not putting a scene in the game with her.

As its a plan to add Daisy/Rosalina/Krystal as playable characters, why not Pauline? I'll see in the future.
I'm still programming the 'key animation', its getting nice. But its the first version. To be in the game still before 2013, along with level 2-5 ;)

For every character, many things have to get added.
Design, probably code and script. Seriously, every single sex scene in the game needs new text. It can be difficult at times writing it for Peach, but with the other characters, it gets even more difficult. You don't want the text to becoming boring and the same, right?

The game would be better as well if it's more personalize towards Peach. The more we focus on her, the better the game would get, I believe.

And as I said, your version would stand out less if you also have multiple characters to play as. And don't forget: The title of the game is Peach's Untold Tale, not Daisy's, Rosalina's, Krystal's, or Pauline's Untold Tale!

And at some point, you gotta start up Bowser's Castle. You promised.

You know, that does give me the feeling that you are playing a stripped down (pun not intended) version of the game with more of a palette-swap than a different character. I would almost say, why even bother, but if it makes people happy, it's fine.

But seriously, 2015?! You should be able to make it done before then, right? You got almost 2 worlds in about 8 months.
That does round out to about 2 worlds per year, but considering the other stuff you had to do first, you ought to be able to add at least 4 worlds in the next year.
Then the game gets finished in 2014.

And the earlier we can get it finished, the better right?
If you can get some awesome coders, artists and other people who are able to help you out, then we can speed this up even more.

Thats it. Well , I can admit, I like Blargh's version because I can imagine there is a really another character, not a Peach recolor. The 'pallete swap' is more than that. There are new costume styles (not just a recolor) and the characters can be a bit thinner (not fatter) and with different HAIR, eye, mouth and body adornments, like a particular ring or garter. So you REALLY can say: its a different character.

Yes, yes.... but we must remember we MAY (i hope not) find more hard bugs, that may let me reprogramming/adjusting some things for days and even weeks :/ This slow down development time.
And I may get a new work (a harder one) in 2013 so I will have less time. I would like to have a Core i3 (yes, doesnt need to be a Core i5 or i7) laptop, so I could program this game in more places, not only in my lab.

I hope so! Remember I will need some level sketches and even worldmap ideas, in order to be unique. I accept everything. I've made 13 new levels this year from scratch, using some references, but doing all by myself takes more time.

Funny, it never feels like you are working on something other than MiM. You are always posting, be it in the morning, afternoon, evening, or night.

But wouldn't you prefer to work on this in private? This is an X-rated game after all. Wouldn't it look weird if you are out in public or with your family, working on a Peach animation?

Yeah, seriously, we need more people on this. I really, really, wish I could draw. I would draw you stuff all the time. Every day I'd probably give you enemies, maps and backgrounds for use in MiM, but alas.

And did you notice how the people that are the most creative are always the ones getting sick, have family problems, money issues or randomly disappear off the internet for an unspecified amount of time?

Everyone is busy, really. Soloid hasnt made contact, he works in two different jobs. Two weeks full time, two weeks part time (or anything like that). He can work better in those last two weeks. I was programming on his new castle, then I've stopped, because I will only be able to progress with his help. We're working like XP programming (although he is working as a designer, he needs to understand a bit of code and how layers/scenes are set).

I work more with code, not graphics. I open several text editors (I program even in notepad), so they will not understand. Also, I make some tests with 'square characters'. If it works, then I can "put" the 'deploy code version' to MIM PUT (no pun intended). Also, with a laptop, its difficult for people to see what I am doing, because I use to work in a confined place/table. Its difficult to walk in the back of my seat.

But hey!! You dont need drawing skills to make some level sketches (like I did in a former post). I use Mario 2 and Mario 3 references (like this one http://www.nesmaps.com/maps/SuperMarioB ... ap2-3.html ) but I dont like to just make everything identical. I created some different styles in some levels (like GRASSLAND level) that became unicque and even better than the level 1-2 of Mario3 ;)

It's true. Even myself (I DONT call myself creative, I do know I need more discipline and skills). I've had a problem with a given tumor, but it was a false alarm (just tension). However, this made me halt development (it was june 2012). I've also had a breathing problem, but that was due to stress from my work as an windows APP developer (not MIM related).

Do I need 1000 eventHandlers? Let them all come. I dont care. But another thing is certain: We will have tons of new features to be put in the game, and it will be possible to have, say, 10.000 objects at the same time, without slowing the game down, aside with features I've listed on page 1 of this thread.

I never get particularly aroused from TXT stories alone. I need some visuals, especially animations.

Hey Ivan, make sure you take breaks occasionally. Tension/stress can be a really bad thing. And the last thing we want is to see you end up in a hospital. And that is not because of this game, but because we care about you. Take it slow when necessary.

Wait, Humbird0 was on here for a while. Why did he stop coming here? Is he too busy working on other stuff? I hope he gets back and helps you understand AS3, it would be awesome seeing the game work more efficiently.

Also, I seriously need to go to sleep now, it's past 4 am.
