Seems like we misunderstood one another.

Ok, lets say Attack 1 and Attack 2 use Movie 1. Attack 1 will still have different Text than Attack 2.
I think understand what you mean by buttons to help the player, 'Click Here for More HP', but how would they be added? And why? It's not like they can use items mid-match, though points could be used to unlock better wrestlers or abilities for customization.

As for, "Oh my god she strikes" how about, "Player 1 violently slams her huge breasts into Player 2. Player 2 staggers backward, holding her injured tits in agony." And then just replace Player 1 and Player 2 with the correct names. How long should the Text be though?

SteelSaurus - hp and mp potions and the things like this is easy to add, so if we will need it it can be easely add ;) But if we do not then it even more easily can be not added ;) :mrgreen:

Text have not be to long - 1-2 lines may be :mrgreen:

I think i will combine all seporated fles that i have now to 1 file on this weak ends (menu fighting and etc).

So we wil need animations soon :mrgreen:

Alright, I won't have any internet access over the weekend so I'm posting this now.

Somehow a couple of the buttons paths were switched around but I don't see anything wrong with the Actions. All the screens are still there, buttons just don't always take you to the appropriate one...
Posting .fla and .swf for your viewing pleasure. Any other activities for me to get working on over the weekend, let me know in the next 8 hours, after that I'm off the grid until Monday.

I mean I get what the items are supposed to do, but how would we add items in plot-wise?

I GET IT !!! IT WORKS !!!

And i have a good idea. You know that is hard to make some thing like you wanted for flash - i mean Seasons and etc.

But now i get a good idea how to make it !

I do not want to save information. It is good for php i mean server games but not good for 1 player games i think - so i have idea.

You choouse 1 girl. And then all other is random - for example she has a season matches - it is random each time - and she can for example go foght or pass it (for example she is sick and cant fight) - then fight structure changes - so the other fighters are on the season. For example by this way you can avoid very powerfull fighters and fight with more noobs untill your skill is low. For example by this way you can lose some money or i do not know how fans loves this grl if she do not come to match and the managers look another girl to change her.

But money i do not know - if we will not use any potions and special attaks that will need money then may be how the fans like her. I do not know how this stat is named :mrgreen: :roll:

So i will need only save information about what girl player play and her skill and some more stats may be. I will not need a lot of info about her and other girls - it is much more easy to make and use :mrgreen: .

How do you think about my idea, i mean the tornament table generates random or like in mortal combat - static. And may be you can avoid some fights or i do not know what to do with them :mrgreen:

Then the story is like you play for new wrestler girl and other girls are already establish wrestlers so there stats do not change in process of the game - some of them are powerfull and some ae weak - our girl is weak first and with how much she fight she get more skill.

I do not want HP and etc stats change, only skill. So if you take girl with low attack power/hp it will be hard to play at the beginning - but with time her attacks will be powered becouse she will get big skill.

Or girl will be good in the beggining - but skill will not give her a lot of attack power. Or i do not know some thing like that.

By the way i know what you can do when you come back ;) I test my DB - it works - so we will need to redizine it a little and put stats in it :mrgreen:

I wll show you what i want when you will be back ;)

I was kind of waiting for more to be added, like proper menus and things like that. The character model works so that you don't need me to add all the animations before you can move things around. The two characters have to be in the same distance from each other but you can do anything really. I mean, there is no point for me to put down time in animations if the project doesn't move forward.

I have used Anime Studio a few times. It is really easy animate something that looks pretty good with the bones. If you get in to any problems, let me know. Drawing in it was really annoying though, like using the line tool in Flash but 10 times worse. I ended up importing images. It worked a lot better than I thought it would, you don't see a lot of problems with the pixels. You also don't need many layers at all which is refreshing.

Other than fixing the mix ups with button to links, what else is missing with the menu? I have a few ideas for better animated buttons, but other than that, what's to be done?

What you need to do is set it up with models that you are going to use, which you can find a Flash file for on the middle of page 3. Then you need to program so that you can use the attacks, take damage and so on, with or without animations, because that's irrelevant when it comes to programming.

How do you make the database for selecting the stats for each girl?


I decided to make it this way. It is movie clip. On each frame is picture of the girl. The size and x/y for it have to be the same on each frame.
In code layer in each frame it is information about this girl like this:

It is a real code. Stats are different - vars name the same - copy paste on each frame.

Then i can read it any time i want, but it si difficulties with wright to them - so if they are not changing all is good / if they do - ot have to be change on some thing.

The code now is make like this - it calculate all he needs and go to next frames. It is possible to animate movies from it like this: remove some frames in code (they works like timer - i do not like how timer works in flash it lags more). And when code goes to frame he check one of variables and go to the animation we need. All i have to have for it animation with out code in it - or may be just stop(); and play(); functions.

But the animation have to look like - MovieClip object where there are different types of attacks on frames. For example i need to play animation X - i go to frame with this animation and play it and etc.

I have better internet access now. Did not get Adobe CS, I got Anime Studio. Still learning about Bone''s. How can I be of help for now?


I can open Macromedia flash MX files. It is bad that i can not shotw you how it is made now ... but all can be even made in Macromedia flash version of program.

If you want i can try to make some kind like a video to show how is it done now. But i havee to understand what to show - so if you want to ask some think you can post questions, and i can try tomake a vidoe about that part.

So here was my initial idea for sorting out the menu screens. (Lines are bi-directional, arrows are unidirectional.)

From the Title Screen you can go to look at the Credits or continue to start a New Game. You can go back and forth between the Credits and Title Screen all you want, but once you start a New Game there's no going back.

From the New Game Screen, you can choose to Start Season (the automated 'hands-free' option), Start Sponsorship (you taking control of one of the girls), View Wrestlers which takes you to the Wrestler List that lets you see their physical and game stats as well as a short bio. Not their moves however!, and View Season; which takes you to the season list and lets you see when the matches are in the year and any event matches.

As I said, Start Season is pretty much automated, once you click Start Match, it will show you the five Rounds for the night, and if you want, edit the first four (the fifth is locked for and event matches.) After that clicking Begin it will take you to the first round with the two women facing each other. And will cycle back and forth with attacks every 5 seconds or so (long enough to read the text description if you want, but short enough to prevent the visual lover from getting bored).
After the first four rounds are done, the fifth and final round will be announced (stating that its an event match, title match, etc.) but it's automated just like the previous four. At the end of everything it will show the winners of each match and also highlight the winner of the fifth match. You can then continue to the next set of Matches, or return to the Main Menu.

Start Sponsorship is the hands on version, and would let you take control of one of the women. It will take you to the wrestler list and show you a list of women available to select (Skill Levels 4 and 5 are off limits). From there you can Start Matches. It will show you your Round (normally 1-4) and the other Rounds for the match set and then take you to your Round.
You have a Health and an Energy Bar and four attacks that you can choose from. From there it's like a turn based fighting game. You spend energy to use stronger moves and gain energy from dealing damage.

We went over the Attack/Defense/Speed in another post already so I won't go over it again.
You start with a set amount of points/money called your Rating. Winning a match builds your Rating, loosing a match lowers your Rating. Winning against a stronger opponent will build your Rating more and loosing against a weaker opponent lowers your Rating more. If your Rating hits zero, your wrestler is fired and you get taken back to the Main Menu.

@ Owner of Succuby, I had an idea as where the points/money (Rating) system can come in. Instead of buying items, you can 'buy' a higher leveled wrestler, learn a Signature/Finishing Move, or buy the option to participate in different event matches.

I've gotten started on making a new menu adding in the animated women (there needs to be ten different ones, two for every round) and I aim to have it ready by Monday. (New Years Resolution, setting deadlines and meeting deadlines, I've got this!)

EDIT:
Oh, and Succuby, I think what Katsu means is that you can just use the first animation he posted as a placeholder for all the rest.

As for me, I’d still like to know how you made the database for the girls in the first place. Could you make a video or screen-shot series of that?

What i need to make in code for now ? Add some thing ? I mean after making new menu works like on picture ?

About that attacks - do you choose it in battle or you chiise it before battle and it play like random ? As i understand random - or i am wrong ?

It's alright about the lack of audio, I'm sure I can figure it out without the guided tour. I just downloaded it though so give me a while to unzip it and go over it.

Well this is it. Pretty much everything that I can do. I don't know how to add Katsu's animation or Succuby's coding to the fight scene so I just left it with the basic model.

I held off on finishing the Start Sponsorship opening screen until I got feedback from Succuby as to whether we would add the point system to buy a better wrestler (Change Sponsorship), signatures/finishers (Tutor Wrestler), or special matches (Promote/Endorse Wrestler). Other than that, I think everythings there. If I can get a reply before 4pm (Eastern Time, UTC-5), I can work on any adjustments tonight and get it to you sometime tomorrow.

The idea for points is that winning a match gets you 5 points and winning a challenging match gets you 10 points. On the other hand loosing a match costs you 3 points while loosing an easy match costs you 5 points.

::Change Sponsorship
Unlocking Level 4’s costs 25 points. Unlocking Level 5’s costs 50 points. A trade of any level costs 10 points. Any signatures, finishers, and titles are lost when trading.

::Tutor Wrestler
Learning a Signature move costs 10 – 20 points depending on the move and learning a Finisher costs 20 points.

::Promote/Endorse Wrestler
Unlocking Event Matches cost 30 points. Unlocking Titleship Matches cost 60 points. You can win double points in an Event Match and if you win a Titleship Match, you win 20 points and double points for any other match while you have a Title.

Can you please post your file like it is in your example i mean with all you made in it ? I only see 1 frame and nothing more in it :shock: i do not know why.

Is your version on AS3 or AS2 ? It is more simple to me work with full designed version than if all is in libruary.

Than i only change code and do not think how to make it looks like in your good animated and design version ;) :mrgreen:

I will try to make all integration in code on this weak - may be change code a little.
