CARAVAN IC- the stone forest

The caravan leader whistles loudly signaling for the caravan to stop. “STOP! WE WILL NOT BE TRAVELLING ANY FURTHER TODAY… ANY FURTHER AND THE CREATURES OF DARKNESS WILL COMPLETELY ANNIHILATE THE CARAVAN... WE HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF SURVIVAL HERE!”

Upon analysis there seems to be a tall pillar near the side of the road. This signals that there are ruins nearby that people can explore for the night.

Creatures of the night… assemble and begin your first assault at your own risk.

James:

Amy notices the anger in James’ face and runs away immediately dragging Felicia. Felicia however pulls back and runs to James hugging him around the neck as she notices sorrow and despair. “James! Please… stop…” she says holding his neck tightly.

Jinedria and Ivan:

The four horsemen that stand next to Ivan hold out their long swords and form a perfect square around Jinedria’s neck. “Try anything and you’re dead…” Death says on top of his pale greenish colored horse; the other 3, known as War, Conquest, and Famine, nod in agreement with Death. Famine presses his sword a bit harder than the rest of them drawing a droplet of Lievyr blood from Jinedria’s neck.

When Conquest sees this he immediately pulls back his blade and drops to his knees. “EVERYONE BOW DOWN!” he shouts. The other three look at Conquest in confusion. “Don’t you see the blood of the girl? It’s on fire… she’s one of the rumored nature spirits… she’s a flame lievyr. She can incinerate us all if she wanted to.” He says explaining his actions. The other three immediately jump off of their horses and do the same as conquest begging for forgiveness for their foolish actions
.
A scream like a banshee erupts from the mouth of Ivan as the Shade is slowly forced from the body of Ivan. “DAMNED YOU ALL!” Ivan screams with the banshee like voice.

Jennifer:

Ginglias takes the yellowish orb and begins making it into smaller chunks and inserting those chunks tightly into some empty holes of the bow. When she is done she passes the bow to Jennifer. “There… this crystal infusion should be able to make you more calm and relaxed whilst aiming your arrows giving you more concentration on where the arrow lands.” Ginglias says. Just in time too, the caravan has stopped near a ruin in which Jennifer can explore and test out the bow.

Fagsag:

Logan looks at Fagsag. “Yeah… I have a bad feeling about her… Let’s try and keep our distance from her.” He says taking another look at Melody before she left. Fagsag can tell that Logan has already fallen in love with her.

A guard appears next to Fagsag and taps on her arm. “Excuse me, but can you move aside for a bit? I want to talk to you…” she says. Her eyes seem to be in a bit of a trance-like state.

Garian:

The guard nods obediently and runs off into the caravan. Garian will have to wait until the next post until the guard returns with Garian’s next victim of lust. (Hint: it’s a RPer… and not an NPC this time )

Melody:

Melody happens to notice that the caravan has stopped due to one man screaming in the front. Perhaps that person is the man that is leading the caravan to its next destination.

CREATURES OF THE NIGHT… ALL EARS PERK UP DUE TO THE SOUND OF THE LOUD WHISTLE. IT SIGNALS A HUMAN IS NEARBY.

James grabs the girl at the sudden contact and his claws prepare to rip her apart and then her voice... so soft. So pleading. So... caring. It cut through the red haze of his anger and sorrow like a hot knife through butter and how claws sheathed and Amy was gone it seemed leaving Felicia behind. He didn't see her at least and now Felicia was there with him. She really did care for him it seemed. He answered her in a much quoted voice," I wasn't always this way... please. Your friend Amy loves you and I can't take that from you. You can stay if you please but you are going to work. You will be my maid and I your master. But you can still leave. I won't make you though she doesn't get this choice if she comes back she will be treated the same as before when you first entered and made to mother my children and then sent out. I grant you this offer because you have faced death to calm me while Amy ran." He said solemnly and then heard the loud whistle with his ears from afar. He grabbed a large cloak from a small cubby in the wall and began to proceed towards the sound. It sounded to him that it might be coming from the nearby ruins and as he left he looked over his shoulder at Felicia and simply said," You may follow if you wish."

Garian smiled as he watched her leave and began to wait patiently for his new slave's return, that was when he heard the loud whistle and his smile faded as he looked towards the sound of it, his blue eyes flashed red for a brief moment before returning to normal and his smile returned as well, he would move towards it, but he must wait for his slave before hand, he didn't trust that she'd do what he asked of her by herself, he will need to stay here to make sure that the deed gets done.

Melody walked to the front, nimbling avoiding the other humans, as she looked at the Caravan Leader... nerviously she asked him if she can take shelter from other bandits that are around in the place. While her lies worked for Logan, she wondered if it worked on the Leader of the whole Caravan, but for now, her festival of lust will begin, if someone doesn't interrupt her first that is.

Jenny is honestly impressed by how Ginglias can apparently improve her aim, simply by implanting some crystal chunks in Bellona's hollows. Simply holding her personal bow back in her own hands, she can already feel the calmness they provide. "You're right...I feel more relaxed already...thank you. By the way, I don't think we were introduced..." she points out that last part knowing the long road ahead; if they're all going to be travelling it in the same caravan, they might as well get to know each other.

"My name's Jennifer Spade, but you can me Jenny." Jenny holds out her hand for a handshake. "And what's your name?"

She looks at Logan and nodes "Yeah"
Then someone taps on her arm. Now she isn't the smartest girl, nor is she the most clever, but she can just tell something is wrong. Looking in her eyes, something is off, but she can't put her tongue on it. But of course, curiosity wins. After a short time of looking awkwardly at the guard, she jumps off and agrees "Sure, what do you need?" And will follow the guard a certain distance away from the caravan, not too far, but within yelling range if something happens. Hopefully she won't regret this.

Emily watched from afar as the events unfolded between Ivan and Jin. A mix of fear and fascination was spreading within her. Jin's blood being revealed was a bit of a surprise to her. Emily has heard of the lievyr, but never thought she would actually get to meet one. Keeping her distance she felt the presence of the Shade begin to leave Ivan's body. There wasn't much she could do, but watch the events unfold no matter how much she wished wanted to help.

Just noticing it to be night time she wondered what the next course of events that would take place. Hopefully things will go more smoothly than their encounter with the shade. The beasts of the forest are probably lurking and waiting for any kind of prey to snatch up.

D-Dammit... Jinedria grunted. Even though she was mired in concentration, the Iievyr sensed the cage of blades descending upon her neck, and the sting of her skin being nicked to spill beads of flaming blood. But she was wrestling with the Shade and herself to control the dark spirit, and to resist right now would spell not only Ivan's death, but likely hers and the others' as well; there was no room to speak out against their discovery. She had tried to hard to conceal her identity, and yet there was a pithy irony in it being revealed by a wandering sword, of all things.

"Almost gone..." she said quickly, as if trying to convince herself. The wail of the Shade pierced her ears, but she maintained her effort.

"Be vanquished..." she growled to herself. The Iievyr grit her teeth, and her palms clenched into fists. She exhaled, ghostly flame riding on her invisible breath, and with tremendous effort, raised her hands down to slam into the earth, splitting the soil beneath Ivan with a great column of orange flame no doubt visible to anyone within a league. The dramatic flames enveloped up and around Ivan, passing over his flesh harmlessly, but colliding into the exposed Shade with vengeful force as the fire roared airily.

Ivan collapses to the ground after the spell is complete. He glances up still dazed from the heat. "Did it work?" Is what he meant to say but between heatstroke and coughing fit it comes off as a few sputters of breath. Ivan rests for a moment and explores his mind to see if there are any traces of the shade left. After a while he stands up and extends his hand to Jin again. "I think its gone for now, thank you again. I need to find a nice place to pass out for a time, this fatigue is getting ahead of me."

A GREAT FIRE CAN BE SEEN IN THE DISTANCE DUE TO THE SPELL JINEDRIA IS PERFORMING TO EXORCISE THE SHADE FROM IVAN.

The sun
James:

Felicia yelps in fear as she is grabbed by the large fingers of James. She flinches hard as the claws sheathe. She looks at James with love as she is made the offer to be free or be a privileged slave of a dragon. “I want…” she looks down not sure what to answer. She walks next to James the whole time pondering her answer to the offer. She looks back up and says. “I have one question… what has changed you into… the sorrowful monster that you are today?” She looks at the large eyes of James with curiosity. Her naked body shivering in the cold air on the mountain that James lives on now that her clothes were shredded.

Melody

“Well… it seems that you are a straggler that has joined up with us. First a few questions… What is your name? Your age and your occupation previous and current.” He asks. He doesn’t really seem to be under th

e effect of the spell.

Jennifer:

Ginglias smiles as she gains confirmation that her enchantments have worked. She sticks out a gauntlet to shake Jennifer’s hand. To Jennifer this seems like awfully suspicious. Why would a person not take off their gauntlets to shake someone’s hand? “My name is Ginglias.” She says. This gauntlet brings back a flashback of the tales told to her by older veterans back in her youth about a mysterious clan of mercenary gypsies that fought calmly even in the most gruesome battles without weapons , only gauntlets and won against armies of thousands. Perhaps Ginglias was one of those rare gypsies from the legends. Perhaps the crystal weapon infusion would clear some of the dark spots of the legend

Garian and Fagsag:

The guard leads Fagsag to the center of the forest where Fagsag’s voice can still be heard by the caravan. The guard calls for Garian “Hey sir?! I brought the girl you were looking for!!” she shouts to the trees.
Garian is able to see the guard and the girl that the guard brought. (HAVE FUN GARIAN! Although she might go slow a bit… due to personal problems… )

Jinedria, ivan, and Emily:

The guards back away as the intensity of the spell increases in order to vanquish that foul shade possessing poor Ivan. The shade pops out of the body of Ivan. The magic holding the spirit together begins to unravel at long last. The magic pops out as green lettering in a humanoid shape. These green letters begin to slowly lift up into the sky and disappear back into the air from which it was formed.
Up ahead the caravan seems to have stopped for the time being. Ivan may find an empty tent for him. Two warriors help him up and move him towards the camp before Jinedria can respond to Ivan.
The four horsemen stand there looking at Jinedria. “You, lievyr, have done our leader a great service today… how may we repay you for the service and for our clumsiness?” Death asks with his raspy voice.
Emily is also amongst the four horsemen. These four men made her feel scrawny. The words that made the shade was readable to Emily and due to her incredible memory from being alone for so long she is able to recite the spell that made the shade so many years ago.

The way Ginglias doesn't take off her gauntlet indeed seems suspicious...but Jenny decides not to dwell on it. What's more attention-grabbing in her psyche, is that flashback on that one gypsy-warrior legend...could she be one of them? Either way, it'd be a bit intrusive to ask about that now, having just met her and all, so Jenny instead replies:

"A pleasure to meet you, Ginglias. Nice gauntlet, by the way. Mind if I be right back? I want to scout those ruins nearby a bit...get a feel for your enchantment's boost, y'know?" A fair bid, by Jenny's reckoning; if they're setting up camp so close to the ruins, she might as well make sure there aren't any monsters lying in ambush over there...

James walks on in silence hoping to reach the ruins soon so he could keep his new mate warm. It was his fault she was naked after and out here in the open it was quite cold. He heard her question and tensed up still managing his temper but not liking that she had called him a monster but then realized that he was truly acting like one. He gave a groan of anger with himself and then after a moment picked her up to keep her warm against his hot body and finally answered her," My family was taken from me twice... and still here I am. Alone. I didn't adjust well... I started to lose who I was and did. I'm sorry for treating you that way but here you still are. You bring out the good in me. Seems beauty can tame the beast..." he said quietly before falling silent again as he continued walking.

Fagsag just looks cautiously at the trees, ready to run if need be. However a certain fire takes her mind off of the moment for a moment, leaving her vulnerable.

Garian smiles at Fagsag and walks towards her, "Hello beautiful, I see my lovely lass here wanted to talk to you, but first I'd like to 'talk first.' he said and kissed her suddenly on her lips, hoping that the spell from before still worked, though he didn't know how strong her will was. He had to remember to reward his slave for the grab, maybe even go out and grab one or two more after the reward is given.

Quickly snapping back to a figure in front of her, as beautiful as explosions are, her attention needs to be focused on possible survival right now. Now if it wasn't for the distraction, she wouldn't of let this strange man get this close, before she could answer or back away, she felt the warmth of another's lips on hers. Pulling back she pushes Garian away and wipes her mouth, but she quickly looses balance and falls on her ass.
She coughs, feeling something foreign intrude her mind. From her point of view, things get blurry and she sees in tunnel vision, while sounds are dumbed down to a near thud. Her body reacts and begins to sweat, as her throat dries up. She can't yell for help, and she can't see (or really hear either) anything but the ground. She turns on all fours and coughs some more before falling to the side, only seeing the feet of her attackers. Her head is pounding, but she retains consciousness. For now.
She tries say something, but it comes out dry and she more or less mouths it "What did you..."

Jinedria's arms gave out beneath her, sending her to the ground. In the night sky above, a corona of orange flame danced beautifully on the edge of her vision, carrying away the dark spirit like a leaf on a breeze. Her mouth tasted metallic, and her head swam with dizziness, but she was still conscious. Carefully, she sat up, holding her head. The flames of her hair receded away as she quenched her magic, leaving her head and chest feeling warm. She glanced back, seeing the last of the Shade depart into the void.

I did it. she confirmed to herself. She felt no pride, strangely, and the relief was hardly palpable. They had been two steps from disaster, and yet Jin knew it was not over. There were more monsters stalking this land -- many more -- and the Iievyr just wondered if she would be able to fend them off. Soon, she found her way to her feet, brushing herself off. To her surprise, Ivan had not been at all scalded by her flames; it looked more like he had a stinging sunburn.

"Just..." Jin looked down, waving a hand aimlessly. She felt disoriented, "Just make sure it doesn't happen again." she decided. Even if she desired a reward, her mind was too dizzied to think anything up. She had no need for wealth or favors, as being an Iievyr of the Flame alone was the greatest gift she could think of.

Too stunned for words, Jin walked off, headed back to her cart feeling as if she could sleep as soon as she hit the pillow.

"Zeph... where are you?" she called absentmindedly with her eyes half-open, holding her head with one hand as she came around to her stopped cart.

"Princess Melinda... was part of a royal Entourage until bandits struck... I escaped from them but..." Melody explained adding onto her lies as she doesn't bother to seduce him... though her torn costume only added to her natural allure. "I'm eightteen and can't do much... though I can learn quickly... where should I go?" she frowned sightly, as if she needed some form of release.

Looking at the two as Ivan was being assisted to the camp and Jin still had to move her cart to the camp. "Hey could you four keep an eye on Jin till she reaches the camp? I gonna help Ivan get to camp." She tells them. Following along Ivan, Emily helps to carry him along as they make it to the canp. "Are you doing better brave knight?" she asks jokingly.

Ivan leans on Emily still weak from the ordeal. "I'll tell you in after I've had some rest, right now everything seems so incredibly cold after that." He heads to the wagon Sharon was on when he left her this morning hoping there would be enough room for him to take a nap. On the way he made small talk. "So what exactly happened? All I felt was intense heat and then when my vision returned my throat was sore and I felt exhausted."

"Well it went really by quickly actually. Evil shade was pushed out of you and set on fire is the short version of it. It looks like camp has been set up already." Doing her best to assist the knight with walking back to the camp. It wasn't too far to get back as they got close enough it seemed like anyone familiar with Ivan would be glad to see he was alright. "If there was anything I could do for don't hesitate to ask. I still owe you for saving me before."
