I have the request of a lifetime, ivanaedler (assuming you haven't already decided to do it). I was playing with your 'invisible' peach while choosing all of the different clothing options and I found it super hot. I was wondering if you could make it so peach was 'invisible' without actually being entirely invisible. Maybe just up the opaque to like 25%? That or do dotted outlines or a glowing blue effect? Pretty much anything that lets the player see peach but with the assumption that the enemies cannot.

I think I just found a new fetish. >.<

No its not possible. Its a bug with counters. Just try to optimize again and it will tell you the right amount in the first line. You can undo that second optimization attempt, in order not to mangle your shape.

Pen tool is our friend ;) And more! Erasing the edges of a rectangle (in case you dont need the edges, like making shadows) is also our friend! Thats because its better to create two rectangles (in different layers) than create just one with edges (an edge is a two-sided geometric entity. The fills is a one-sided entity).

Hey, hi! I miss your posts since the beginning of this project! You have great ideas! As for this invisibility thing, I've had a metting with Blargh about this and we noticed GAME SPEED will DECREASE from 2 up to 5fps with that configuration :/ That's because we need to configure Peach object to use 'BLENDING:LAYER' mode. This is needed because when I try to let Peach partially invisible, each body part acts different. So her arm will be 40%, her leg, 20%, her torso, 70%, even putting a fixed '20%' number on her entire body. Its a limitation of flash. In order to be 20 20 20 20 and 20, I need to activate blending:layer. I can test this again, and check the frame speed, and UPLOAD this SWF for you guys to test. If speed differences becomes negligible, ok, we can have a opaque Peach.

HMMM EUREKA!! :idea: :idea: I can just make a new character for the invisibility, but just with the outlines! It may work. The outline could be grey, like a spy. This avoids me to try to adjust transparency levels altogether.

Okay, I just played it a bit and got to the airship.
I should've said this before, but... it's way too hard.

The big problem is the limited sight and the giant hitbox Peach has. In the Mario games, a large part of Mario's head doesn't actually have a hitbox.
But in this game, where you already play as a much bigger target, Peach's hitbox is seemingly her entire body.
The deal is that the cannons are placed in such a way that all aforementioned variables make this incredibly difficult to go through. And especially for world one, that isn't good.
And why does the propellor hurt you? It doesn't in the game, I'm sure of that.

Then, once I died, the cheat mode doesn't work properly.
If you activate cheat mode then and press pgdown to open all levels, it only unlocks the next level, not all of them.

Well, I understand you, but really, I dont find it difficult. I couldnt diminish hitbox area because, then, Peach can escape from certain enemies (e.g. her body will be partially traversible). This will be worse, trust me. Also, Peach is a big target because its a XXX game, dont forget it. Its preferable to have a bigger character (as we can enjoy her better) than an tiny one.

You will see ;) During 'intermissions' of game development, mostly when I start making world2, I will make levels inside the pyramids, with new enemies. You bet one of them.

Now that's awesome looking. I believe you can afford to thicken the outlines a bit. And if you want to implement one of those softer-tone color when it comes to outline, you can make the black outline of that spiky yellow thing spinning into a dark brown-like color. I was wondering if you could just enlarge the pupils just a tad bit. Remember, that when elements are added into the game and are meant to be small, a number of vital details could be missed out. (Speaking of which, I think I may have to revise those mushroom designs, including the fire flower).

I know what you mean, but I think another problem is that I continuously want to duck to dimish Peach's hitbox in that level, but pressing down makes her masturbate instead.
Should there be a ducking animation in the game?

I think it's a little odd for things that didn't hurt you in the original to hurt you now. And if you choose to jump off the pole(which is more likely given the autoscrolling nature of the level), rather than walk off it, you'll get hurt and there's nothing you can do about it. I couldn't even see the propellor the first time.

I was actually going to make the pupils bigger but forgot, just like I forgot to add classic tweens hahah. The spinning thing doesnt matter haha because Ivan is redoing animation and improving it anyways so his version will probably have everything I didnt put in. Hey, the good thing is I managed to Optimize everything at 100 power!

I've finished my bug report so see my last post. Ivanaedler, are you outputting all MiM games in 22fps? If so, all the stuff I was doing in regards to animation have been done in 24fps.

I will TRY to fix this one. That's because fireballs detects ground collisions, then ricochets. That's understandable in inner places like level1 (next to the invisible fire powerup), as Peach try to fire upwards but the fireballs vanish. However, in the outside, ground collision must be there in order for Peach to climb those platforms and areas. But the fireballs think they're like roofs because they check GROUND , not ceiling. A way to fix that is to add ceiling collision check to fireballs. Lower priority but I will add this to NEXT FEATURES.

Oh crap, so does this mean I'll have to convert all my animations from now on to 22? I know 24 is a default number, but it's usually a nice figure to work with.

I'll be doing small updates (1.6q, 1.6r)... until more animations are done (like Peach showering herself in x-naut level). Then I will go to version 1.7.

How's about a new crown for our Peach? That's it! All done using pen tool!
Crown will be detachable too. Now, helmets and hats are welcome!

I Like your list! Believe me, I will do those scenes sooner or later. It will be an option to choose from. As for 'virgin', I will remove this word because Peach may be already screwed up before that. I did her drinking the potion and I'm getting used to. I need to make two animations: her removing her clothes while going to the locker, and her taking a bath in x-naut.
